You can never really tell how good a hotel location is until you get there and we were so glad we chose this hotel on the edge of the Old Town, far enough away from the noise at night (music/honking) but close enough to for a short pleasant ride (or easy walk) along the river to the main part of the Old Town (the hotel has bicycles available free of charge - scooters available too but not sure about the charge). The hotel itself is really lovely throughout as was our room. We stayed in a Junior Suite room with balcony on the 7th floor and the view was fabulous. The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious and the dining room was a nice place to linger in the morning while we planned our day. The staff were all friendly and attentive, especially Brownie who will help you book tours. The indoor pool is small but ok for a quick dip. Overall we had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend it.

This is a small boutique hotel on the edge of the old town. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The staff are especially friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was beautiful and delicious. We took out laundry to place across the street where we paid about $1.50 per kg. The laundry was washed and neatly folded. Noticed later that hotel price was only $3 per kg. Previous hotels in ho chi min and Siem rep changed $2 per piece. Save your laundry for Hoi an!

Just 5 minutes walk to Hoi An old city. And the hotel is also only one minute walk to one of the famous Chicken Rice restaurant!
Beautifully decorated in Portuguese and Eastern style, either dining in the restaurant or staying in the room is an experience!
Staffs are friendly and helpful . Iren, our receptionist, who had specially made room arrangement for us; Brownie, the tour consultant, shared many travelling tips with us, we enjoyed talking to her every morning! Maya and Smily were friendly and always ready to help!
Remember to use their complimentary meal coupons(either Pho or Cao Lau)! Their Cao Lau is very tasty and in high quality! We had also tried their Vietnamese Meal Set which was also tasty! We enjoyed our meal very much!

We had a very good time .We were there for 6 days and the staff were the best we have experienced in our many years of travelling. Ling and Kei Lei and Sam at the front desk were lovely and very helpful.We upgraded to a room at the front and enjoyed sitting out on the deck watching the river and traffic.The room size was very generous and exceptionally clean.The bath towels were not as good as we expected,small size and thin.The breakfast area was good,The available breakfast was more Asian than western and the orange juice tasted very sweet ( just like imported concentrate ) not good when there seems an abundance of fresh juice available locally. The hotel position was excellent for us.Only 5 to 10 minute walk into town.There is lots to see and do in Hoi An and the food is superb and well priced.The taxis are metered and cheap and they also have electric shuttle bus for up tp 6 people for local sightseeing. Overall we had a ball and enjoyed everything about Hoi An We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Problematic service due to poor English, room is not clean (look carefully under the bed or in places that you usually don't look at). Overpriced and the town itself is just a location to take money from turists. They charge you more than double the original price all around.

I was pleasantly surprised with this 4 star hotel, I really enjoyed my stay. There are so many good things I want to say, I'll start off with what might be the ONLY negative thing.
If you're a gym bunny or avid swimmer, this is not the place for you. The fitness center & pool are located in the basement, which makes the pool area very dark. The gym is very basic, whilst the pool is quite small (but you're able to swim a few lengths in it)
(Now for the good) But why stay at the hotel & swim when you can go to the beautiful An Bang beach? The hotel offers a free shuttle bus everyday to the beach from 9am, which makes it very convenient if you want to relax by the sea or discover that part of Hoi An. The hotel even provides beach towels at reception before hopping on the shuttle.
Breakfast before the beach is what I did most days. A very good selection which varied slightly everyday so it never got boring. They have a noodle station that served Vietnamese noodles of the day, everything was fresh, great pastries & the iced vietnamese coffee made on order was very delicious. Other than breakfast, we ate at 'The Dishes' restaurant for dinner once, a set meal for two, & again the great quality was consistent.
Our main purpose was to really just chill out & relax. The location is excellent for walking around Old Town, which can be done on foot (the hotel also provides bikes too) When we arrived, the friendly staff greeted us with hand towels & refreshments whilst they checked us in. They took us to our room on 7th floor, the view from balcony was great, with a little chair & table great for soaking up the sun whilst reading. The room was very tastefully decorated, lanterns in the room were a nice touch. The bathroom was modern & clean, shower big enough to fit a family in. WiFi was great, so I could upload my photos on social media & keep in touch with my friends.
The staff, very attentive & informative, so many people that greeted us everyday with smile. I thank all the staff that made our stay very enjoyable, special mentions to Andrew, Tracy, Hana, Bee who were exceptional.

We spent 6 days in Hoi An exploring the Old Town and surrounding district. La Resedencia was excellent, a 5 minute walk to the old town, the staff so friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our television so we were given another room, everything shifted by the staff in about 10 minutes!!! We would recommend this hotel with complete confidence.

Had a lovely stay at La Residencia over New Years. The hotel is very close to old town and everything is easily walkable. I've seen a few reviews that the breakfast was 'a bit average' and I have to say i'm suprised at that given that I can't think of anything they didn't have ? All the fresh fruit you could want, pancakes, french toast, pastries, cereals, an egg station cooking any eggs you want, daily specials, about 10 or more hot dishes of various types, meats, salads, soups, many vietnamese options.
The staff were very friendly and happy to help with any request. As with any hotel we had to give our passports over for check in. They realised that my husband's birthday fell during our stay, so without saying anything we returned to our room one day to find a surprise birthday cake. It was such a lovely thoughtful touch.
The only minor issue we had was that the pool had so much chlorine in it our swimsuits were completed ruined. But the pool was quiet and warm so not really a big deal.
The massage in the hotel spa was very relaxing, and the one dinner we had at the restaurant was excellent.
Would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in Hoi An.

I stayed at La Residencia in late February of this year, and it was amazing.
First of all, the rooms are well-appointed, plenty spacious, many have a balcony that overlooked the city (ours did!). The bathroom was modern, with an open concept shower, however, the water was very difficult to warm up to the right temperature. That said, we soon came to realize that it very normal in the country, even at luxury reports in Vietnam.
Second, the staff was great. Sam was pretty chill, and you could tell she was very anxious to give you advice on what to do around the city but was never overly obtrusive. Just the right around of checking in during breakfast, combined with some helpful tips and friendly conversation.
Last, but not least, the breakfast buffet is to die for. They have the freshest fruits (the best we had in Vietnam), the best juices, and a great combination of western options like omelets, croissants, to bacon, as well as some really excellent traditional dishes as well.
