We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort but it is not perfect. The staff are wonderful, the buffet breakfasts are incredible and the location couldn’t be better. The staff went beyond expectations preparing a New Year’s Eve banquet and entertainment. The bartender was great and we would enjoy our drinks right by the water on the swing seats. Reception staff were welcoming and so cheerful and helpful. Our only issue was the size of the room and the outdated decor. Although cleaning staff did a great job, especially with all the cute towel animals left for us, the interior decor did not match any of the standards of the exterior such as swimming pool area or restaurant. The room was actually very disappointing and we felt like squashed sardines in ours. We couldn’t even access the wardrobe because there was no space between the bed and the wardrobe. The resort is in dire need of refurbishment of its rooms. So if you like spacious, modern accommodation this is not the place for you. Having said this, we still enjoyed our stay as everything else made up for the low standard of our room. You can’t really beat the location so if you don’t care too much about room interiors then you’ll find this a very convenient place to stay.

As a first timer in Vietnam and after spending a few days in Hanoi, I was feeling quite overwhelmed. Upon arrival at Vinh Hung Riverside Resort and Spa I was instantly put at ease and must commend the staff on their professional manner and prompt organisation from arrival and throughout the duration of our stay.

The hotel has an amazing pool with an awesome wine bar at the front. The location was perfect, very close to the night market and a main road to that’s takes you to the old town yet very peaceful shielding us from the busy streets.

Other features of this hotel I enjoyed were the free local food tasting in the afternoon, a great buffet breakfast, small but sufficient fitness area and amazing landscaping of beautiful flowers.

I would highly recommend this resort.

Stayed 6 nights and couldn’t recommend it more highly. All the workers would go out of there way to say hello and ask how your day is. The daily afternoon local free food is beautiful, guitarist is fantastic. Always happy to help and Mr Tam (guest relations manager) was absolutely awesome! So friendly.
Great area, close walk to everywhere.
Even with airport transfers we paid the driver and as we walked off he called resort to make sure we hadn’t already paid when we paid for our room (turns out we did - we didn’t even know that) and he came running into the airport until he found us to give us our money back and apologised many times - even though it wasn’t his fault at all. Very honest man.
Only thing we would recommend is taking ear plugs as the barking frogs and roosters can be loud at times.
Would 100% stay again!

Vinh Hung Riverside Resort is just beautiful. The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are immaculate and clean. The main pool is exquisite and such a welcoming area to relax. Beautiful white clean towels and the beds very comfortable. Hairdryer in the room is good quality, and the resort has lovely shampoo, shower gel and moisturising cream in the bathroom, lovely touch. The breakfast has a large variety and is lovely. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful flowers everywhere.
I have to say this resort is exactly what I wanted and didn’t disappoint. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

We spent 12 nights at Vinh Hung Riverside Resort, which we came to experience as a precious slice of Paradise. It’s grounds are abundant with natural beauty and provide a truly tranquil environment. Staff constantly go above and beyond to make you feel like honored guests, as well as family. A special shout out to Giang and Tam for their exceptional attention to service with warmth and genuineness. Although this is not an inclusive resort, it is so generous with its resources. We were fed so well at breakfast and then with the late afternoon street food tasting there was no need to eat elsewhere. A complimentary foot massage, a complimentary dinner and an evening sunset cruise all impressed and will keep us coming back to this sweet Hoi An retreat.👏🏽🤗💕

We stayed a week here and loved the location, the staff and the ambience of the grounds. The street food appetizers at 4 pm by the bar were wonderful. The complimentary sunset river boat cruise was such a nice touch. The staff are excellent and go out of their way to give really good service. They made reservations for us for several outings. We loved the location on the street market island but away from the hustle and noise. Our river front room was lovely with a pool right out the front door which felt like a private spot just for us! My birthday occurred during our stay and from my passport (I guess) they provided greetings from the housekeeping staff and a birthday cake to mark the occasion. Such a personal touch. I loved the cooking class which included a market tour. Such fun to try making traditional Hoi An cuisine with the chef! We will definitely stay again and highly recommend. The grounds are beautiful right down to the flower beds along the river.

I have stayed at this resort 4 times and was booked to stay for a 5th time in April 2020 to meet up with my Dad and brother from the UK to celebrate my 5oth birthday. Of course this trip was cancelled due to the need for COVID-19 border closures.

If you are looking to stay in Hoi An in the future I highly recommend this hotel. The location of this resort is second to none and the staff are fantastic, they always greet you with a smile and are so helpful and friendly.

I hope all the staff are well in what must be a very difficult time for them, my heart goes out to you, I'm missing travel but this virus is impacting on the staff livelihoods. I hope to see you soon - stay safe, you are amazing.

The resort is in a great location for access to the old town, the night markets and numerous restaurants – only a few minutes’ walk away. The grounds are nice, with well-maintained gardens along the river, and two pools. There are some nice free additional activities – food tastings each afternoon and a sunset cruise on the river. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed and the buffet breakfast had a good selection. The staff were all very friendly. There is a restaurant and bar on-site, but also plenty of great places to eat outside the resort, only a short walk away.

Our only negative issue was noise. On 2 of our 4 nights there was loud noise from what sounded like a karaoke bar across the river – on 1 night until midnight. Obviously the resort cannot control that, but if you are a light sleeper be aware. We also heard considerable noise at times from the adjoining room, and it didn’t seem to be people being overly noisy – just talking to each other at a normal volume. Perhaps there is a need for better sound insulation between rooms.

We have just completed our fourth visit to this wonderful resort in Hoi An.
We always choose to stay in the riverside rooms as the view is simply beautiful to wake up to. The rooms are always immaculate and serviced by the nicest people. Breakfast is all you could wish for and sitting watching the river and its interesting traffic is a great way to start the day.
Access to town is only a few minutes walk away. Food in the town never disappoints and we had a lovely Christmas Day lunch at Mango Mango. Of course we couldn't leave Hoi An without having clothes made at our favourite tailor Theung. The girls there are delightful. Easily recommend Vinh Hung to anyone wanting a magical stay in Hoi An.

Absolute stunning hotel on the banks of the river. Location is perfect being right across the river from the old town, so very accessible but the resort itself is a quiet little oasis of calm.
The staff are all unbelievably friendly and all speak English right down to the maids and porters. They can’t do enough for you!
Lovely pool and breakfast.
We had the deluxe double room which has a lovely spacious wrap around balcony and a huge bathroom with shower and separate bath.
Just lovely.
