Resort was excellent beautiful setting and very comfortable. Our room was next to the beach so lovely and quiet. The staff went out of their way to look after us from beginning to end.
Châu and Van thi Klin vy her team were great
The drivers we had for day trips were very knowledgeable and helpful.
The only downside was the restaurant which catered mainly for western appetites which was disappointing as Vietnamese food is so special it would be great if they improved this.

We stayed at the Palm Garden Beach Resort in March 2020 for 6 nights. We stayed in Garden View rooms which were large, well decorated and well looked after. The room cleaning etc was very good. We were on the ground floor with a terrace and a small river/pond running along the front of the terrace with some fish. The pool area is lovely and as it was very quiet we had no problem getting sun beds where we wanted them. the pool service bar is good with food and drinks available during the day. The open air restaurant serves local and Italian food, the Terrace restaurant serves Vietnamese food in the evening and there is also a Japanese restaurant which we didn't use.
The reception staff were all helpful and chatty and there is a shuttle bus into Hoi An old town starting every morning from 10am. If there asre too many for the bus the staff arrange a taxi.
The only real down side of the hotel was the lack of a usable beach. The area in front of the hotel has eroded - despite large sandbags. We did venture down the wooden steps onto the sandbags and along to the beach but it was precarious. Its possible to walk outside and along the road to a turning leading to the beach but again just before getting to the sand its quite precarious. The hotel does provide the shuttle to the beach further along, at 10am but doesnt pick up until the afternoon so if you want a quick dip in the sea this doesnt work. This may be a seasonal issue, but if you want a beach hotel it may be best to check.
The stars of the hotel are the gardens and gardeners who work tirelessly and keep the gardens looking magnificent and a real joy to walk through particularly early morning.

What can I say about the hotel. When we first arrived we was welcomed by the lovely receptionist who talked us through about the details of the hotel. Our room was lovely and spacious and so clean. Clean towels every day. Free bottles of water left every morning and on a night time housekeeping would come to our room and pull on the curtains and leave us cookies. Wu who worked on the beach and pool was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Also Hong who worked in the restaurant/bar was so lovely and again nothing was too much trouble. We was at the hotel when the hurricane happened and again the staff looked after us and we had to move rooms for our safety and again nothing was too much trouble. Great hotel and staff would highly recommend. A few restaurants across the road and also not too far in a taxi to hoi han

With the very best of intentions, there is no way this is a 5 star hotel, I am not being unkind, just honest.having come from two 5 star hotels on this current tour of Vietnam I am satisfied with my judgement. First off, whilst it was all efficient including welcome drink and flannel, the young man behind the desk in open knocked shirt doesn’t quite give top star first impression, neither does the cheap looking map being circled in biro to indicate where everything is, including the clearly visible blue swimming pool in the centre! All very useful, but a bit three star establishment, good signage is all that’s really needed here, patrons paying top dollar to stay here ant be that stupid not to find their way about can they?
The Palm Garden Resort initially on arrival looks amazing, it on closer inspection is somewhat tired, which considering the likely foot fall generated by rotation of occupants from the 300 odd rooms. The rooms, ours was 606, was a good size with outside balcony, a lovely welcome basket of flowers and fruit is a nice touch. However, the basket of chocolate and savouries is a tad tacky and are better suited to be in the fridge to be taken out as and when required. The bathroom is of a large size and has the shower in the bath. The shower is fine but the nozzle, despite which ever way it was pointing was spraying water over the floor. The face cloths were fine but the towels were worn out, the lotions I used were ok but like all the fixtures and fittings somewhat dated. The bed a fair size and comfortable but the quilt is wafer thin and again exhausted.
The pool area is good but the loungers again are old and tired. The beach towels are old and worn out, one of ours even had two holes in it. And at what 5 star establishment do you need to help yourself to the towels, and no I don’t expect to wave for service especially when it’s not busy around the pool. We decided to have dinner in the resort, we were put off the beach side restaurant due to the wedding reception on the beach so opted for the terrace restaurant as the only other option was Japanese which we didn’t want. This is where breakfast is served, it’s a vast cavernous area and considering there was only two other guests it was a bit utilitarian. Like having supper in a works canteen, and not to be repeated. Fortunately the wedding party did stop before we went to bed as did the big conference taking place in the hotel. Other guests will have their own view and rightly so, but having experienced 5 star standard I reiterate this is not.

We had a 10 day stay and hotel was stunning , immaculate, very high standard. Our room was perfect , and with the added extra of rose petals on bed on arrival and the evening chocolates, the attention to detail was fabulous, one door took us to the sea view the other door took us to the pool, perfect. On arrival the staff ensured they spent individual time with you to ensure they answered any questions as well as give you a wee aloe vera drink to refresh you this continued throughout the stay. The restaurants gave good choice and the Japanese restaurant was to die for. The pool was very clean as was in fact the whole grounds of the hotel. . we were there for TET this made the experience a bit different and the hotel laid on extras to celebrate this, with an outdoor meal and an activity morning to celebrate. I think we utilised all the aspects of the hotel whilst there as our main aim was to spend the time at the hotel and not out and about as we had travelled from Scotland which is long enough. We used the shuttle bus to go in and out to the town and market and I would maybe suggest change the 330 slot to a lunch time slot as we feel that would have been more beneficial and easier for us to return, as we eat at hotel each evening. The gym could maybe be updated a wee bit as I felt some of the equipment was very stiff. The spa was superb and we went for one of their packages offered. Highly recommend the hotel and thank you to all the staff who were so so lovely and attentive.

We are very sad to have to leave after four days of relaxing bliss. Our friendly concierge Van and her staff are always polite and helpful.
The resort is a few kms away from Hoi An but there are regular shuttles and taxis are cheap and abundant.
They are just preparing for the lunar new year celebrations and the hotel is looking spectacular.
We rarely think of returning to any of our destinations because the world is still full of awaiting adventures, but we may have to bend the rules in this case.
Thank you all at Palm Garden for making our stay so pleasant.
Best wishes, Chris & Karen xx

We stayed 3 nights and it was heaven. The grounds are fabulous and well cared for. The breakfast had lots of choices and was terrific. We stayed in 1 of the little bungalows, and they were amazing, lots of room, and hot water, and your own little patio with rocking chairs, and they leave you chocolates or cookies each evening. Was great to sit and listen to the ocean in the evening. They have a shuttle that will take you to old town or just grab a cab, which was around 5 or 6 dollars. The pool is very nice with lots of chairs and towels. We loved our stay

Located just 4 kms from the Ancient Town of Hoi An this beautiful coastal hotel is a great place to stay. The chalet style garden rooms are spacious and comfortable with every facility. Some have garden views while others overlook the sea. Breakfasts are a feast for the senses with every possible taste being catered for. A spacious pool in the centre of the resort is surrounded by ample sunloungers. The staff are exceptionaly friendly and helpful. , Thi bell,trâm,vy,hhoa and especially Quang, are a wonderful team who ensure that your stay is one to remember.

That 9 times now we have stayed at this marvellous Resort now, and it just gets
better each time. They are always doing renovations to the rooms, gardens, and the Resort itself. The Staff is the most friendly and happy group of people your ever likely to meet. Nestled right on the beach, and with old town, not too far away. Ideal for singles, married couples, and families. Over the years, I have made many friends there
( the PG family ), I meet a few new ban tots there this time Ms Hong in the Breakfast restaurant, who is the most happy and helpful individual you ever meet. I am an a early riser, so ever morning I would watch the Lifegaurd Mr Turng , preparing the umbrellas, sunbeds, clearing the beach of debris. He worked tireless all day, making sure guessed are happy all day, moving their heavy sunbeds and all giving out fresh towels. I hope PG recognises their achievements at the next PG staff day. Overall wonderful Resort run by wonderful Management and staff.

We have just returned from a six night stay at Palm Garden.

hotel gardens are beautifully manicured and well maintained. The swimming pool is fantastic and suitable for couples and families alike. We stayed in the beach front bungalow. The room was fairly traditional, spacious but had fantastic views of the ocean. It did not disappoint! The toilet and shower are located in a ‘wet room’ however, the shower basically floods the wet room leaving the floor very slippery, be prepared to slide to the toilet!

Breakfast is available in the café and has lots of choice covering western, vegetarian, and traditional Vietnamese, there are plenty of choices even for the fussy eater!. However, I would not recommend you eat at the hotel after breakfast. The teppanyaki restaurant was closed for the whole of our trip, the restaurant close to the beach has an array of Italian, Vietnamese and western food, which is fairly average. The hotel runs happy hour every day with a small list of cocktails, beers and one wine option.
The hotel runs a bus shuttle to and from the hotel to hoi at 10 am and 3pm. Whilst taxis are relatively cheap I think a shuttle in the evening would be beneficial.
We used the spa facilities, the massages were good, you’ll pay about 750,000 for a massage. However I would avoid the jacuzzi and sauna/steam. They are located in a small non vented area, mould is visible and the tiles were broken entering the jacuzzi.
Booking trips through the hotel: The prices aren’t consistently applied, despite a tour book being available, staff are reluctant to help you organize any trips other than those pushed by the hotel. They are clearly commission based and depends on which member of staff you speak.

Yes, there are poolside rooms that will fit the bill. There are also rooms with ocean views, which we loved. It's a beautiful resort, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The location just out of the main town was perfect. If I return to Vietnam, I would definitely stay here again.

There is no ATM at the hotel. There are a few shops opposite, but I am unsure if there's an ATM there. The hotel does currency exchange, of course. It's a quick trip into town for all your needs.. Only takes about 10 mins. Taxis are plentiful.
