The riverside location is beautiful, the beach over the road (Cua Dai) is sadly being eroded following typhoon damage in recent years.
Room was light, airy and regularly cleaned during our 12 night stay. Enormous bed, bathroom was a bit tired and the hot water late afternoon was variable.
Two pools, both with shaded areas during day. We were there at the start of the season, so plenty of sun beds.
Complimentary shuttle to An Bang beach daily (An Bang is a lovely beach with lots of bars and restaurants). Complimentary shuttle into Hoi An and back several times a day. Shuttles all prompt and safe, we went into Hoi An for dinner every night which worked well.
Breakfast was a good range of choices, with lots of fresh fruit and coffee.
Overall, a good, safe, quiet hotel. If you want to step straight onto a beach, this wouldn’t be a good choice. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Dear LoveTravel7985636, First of all we would like to thank you for choosing our resort and for reviewing us on Tripadvisor. It is a pleasure to read that you enjoyed your room, the riverside location and our team provided you with such friendly and helpful service. In regards to the bathroom, we have shared your opinion with our Hotel Management and we will take it into consideration. About the beach, it is big project and the government is carrying out the plan to save the beach. We hope the beach will be nicer soon. Once again, thank you for sharing your point of view and we do hope to have the change to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, Hai Chau (Mrs.) Rooms Division Manager

Firstly let's talk about the beach. It's gone....but you don't really miss it. The pools in the hotel more than make up for that. The rooms are in cottages 4 rooms per block spread over the resort and around the main building. The rooms are large with huge king size plus beds and muted restful tones. We had a 1st floor river view room which was very peaceful looking over the river both in the morning and sunset watching the fishermen working.
The food is overall good. We enjoyed the breakfast with my wife choosing western and me Asian food. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel but the room and pool service food was good.
There apr3e several daily shuttles into Hoi An town which we used several times apnd takes about 15 minutes.
What really makes this hotel is the staff. From check in to check out they were friendly hard working efficient and genuinely warm.
So in conclusion you don't need the beach. The food was good as were the cocktails and the staff made you feel like you were family.

I stayed with my family of four, two adults, two boys (8 & 11). We had two ground floor river facing rooms, not interconnected, but sharing the same deck for easy access. The rooms were spacious, beds were extremely comfortable, bathrooms were newly renovated with both bath and shower. We had some problems with the air conditioner on the first day, the staff were very helpful and polite and fixed it fairly quickly.
There are free bikes, free shuttle to and from Hoi An Ancient town, a spa, two pools, gym, pool table and a young children’s play area.
The beach area would have been lovely if there was still a beach, unfortunately it is gone due to erosion.
For a Beach resort without a beach it is a lovely spot.

Visited for 2 weeks and had a great time, the resort is located on the De Vong river just across from Cua Dai beach. Stayed in a Grand Deluxe room on the ground floor which was very spacious however did not have any drawers to place clothes, only one or two shelves. Not very practical. Resort restaurant had a good selection of Vietnamese and Western meals at reasonable prices. Pool areas also very nice. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby and only a 10 minute cab ride into Hoi An Ancient Town.

Absolutely loved the hotel! Despite the weather.
The price was very cheap for the quality, we had a riverview which was absolutely the best decision, both with the view and because it was windward (it blows from the ocean). I asked if a ground floor room towards the river was available (I thought maybe the room with the river in the backyard would be perfect), it was not, but they were very accommodating and said I could check the next day. In the end, I decided not to try to change, as the view from the balcony is also very good. It was a perfect area, there were restaurants, massage, shops close by and if the weather had been better, we would have enjoyed the beach (it might have previously been washed away, but has been restored(?), it has a good width and looked very inviting with loungers from the hotel and restaurants), unfortunately it was too cold and windy. The main pool was great the day the sun shone (protected from the wind). The staff was very good to put out towels, even on rainy days. The cleaning, reception, breakfast restaurant, all were good and efficient.
We really loved the breakfast on the balcony over the river, very romantic. And the free bikes were what made this hotel amazing. We used them almost every day to go into town, eat and shop, the road is flat and not all that much traffic, so biking among the ricefields was nice. Biking along the coast was not very interesting, since the road is boring and with the windy weather the beach places and beach was not much fun.
It does state that you should return the bikes by 18.00 on the paper you get, but we pretended we hadn't seen that and nobody said anything. This is for us is what makes a 6-star hotel. It is being open to requests/wishes from guests, that could potentially be a big deal to that person. For us, if we had not had that freedom to go into town, conveniently and whenever we wished, we would have felt at bit trapped (especially as the weather was not really beach-weather and this is a beach resort/area). We stayed at another hotel on Phu Quoc, where the staff every time told us to have the bikes back by 18.00 (and by the way, we always travel with lights for bikes), that hotel was not within walking distance of a village, and we felt rather trapped, forced to stay and eat at the resort.
There is also a shuttle, which actually has a timetable that is convenient for going for dinner in town (18.00 return 21.00), which was also really great.
The lights on the porch has to be turned off by maintenance? But reception quickly fixed that.
It is possible that if it had been high-season and the hotel had been full, we would not have loved the hotel quite so much. One evening, there was a wedding, with karaoke under the open sky, it was like standing beside the very big speakers. But we came back late and when asked, the reception said the wedding would end at 10.00, which was in two minutes, and it did.
So for us, because/despite of the season, everything was great and perfect!

Although is very close to the beach, this allegedly 4 star resort feels more like a 2 star.
Rooms are not as big as announced in their web. Amenities in the rooms are lacking (20 year old small safe that does not work, missmatched and stained water boilers, broken TVs and sketchy AC).
Don’t expect Food to be a key aspect of the ‘resort’.
And absolutely DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO LAUNDRY!!! They will shrink ALL your clothes, not iron them and then, when you complain, offer you a 30% discount on the laundry fee saying that shrinkage is not damage. That to be damaged they need to make a hole in the garment!!
Beware of this so caller 4 star resort. Try to avoid if possible.

We have stayed in this hotel a couple of times and were very excited to see it open while planning a last minute trip to Vietnam. The river view rooms are gorgeous and we like that it's close to the old town without being in the middle of it. Having the beach close by and breakfast on the river is amazing.
We expected Covid to have impacted the town. It has obviously affected tourist places in particular, but on our way here to Hoi An we stopped in several other locations which had fully operational hotels.
Hoi An, as of July 2022, is busy. Lots of tourists around and many businesses are open and welcoming. Unfortunately, this hotel should not yet be open. The room is clean but the common areas are a mess. The main building feels almost abandoned. Dirty floors, a dreadfully poor breakfast selection, staff lounging around on their phones. The egg chef in the morning is always friendly and helpful, and so are the ladies at the front desk. This will be our last stay at Hoi An Beach Resort - next time we will spend the few extra dollars and go to Victoria Beach Resort.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hoi An Beach Resort. It was so peaceful and you instantly felt relaxed upon arrival. I can’t speak of the staff highly enough! - so friendly and always there to assist you when needed. They have a shuttle bus running into town that was super handy but there is also taxis always around if needed. We will be definitely staying here again when we visit Vietnam.

Had looked at previous reviews regarding this hotel and was somewhat put of about staying here, as some people had given very bad reviews on the hotel, as we were already travelling about Vietnam we got speaking to a couple who had stayed there and going on their recommendations we decided to book and have to say I don’t know where some people find so many faults as this hotel was absolutely amazing.
We stayed here for a few nights and the rooms were well laid out with nice bathroom great shower nice ambiance tea coffee etc good selection of toiletries
The breakfast was fabulous great selection of food to meet everyone’s tastes.
Breakfast was served in a lovely part of the hotel overlooking the river and you could watch the fishermen going past in their boats and the sun beating down off the river
The staff here were fantastic and could do enough to make our stay special
Beach was just a stroll away across the road and had beds etc
Pool area as rest of hotel spotless
Can not fault anything about this hotel
We had a very early morning flight and when we told reception the night beforehand they arranged a take away breakfast which was really nice with water yogurt banana bread cheese ham even hard boiled egg
Thank you so much for a wonderful time
Highly recommend this hotel and also as hotel is a bit away from Hoi An old town they run a shuttle bus a few times a day

We stayed there for 8 nights in a de nice room. Great rooms both a view, we had a room in 1 st floor.
I think all the Grand de luxe room are on Ground floor. So go for that if that’s important for you.
We loved to be on 1st floor because of the view.
Sorry I don't know.
