I loved the Bay Resort Hoi An. Just know that it's pretty vast so be prepared to walk cause it's a resort. I booked a river view deluxe king and it was awesome. Overlooked the river directly across the market. My room had a cute terrace with loungers and tables. However just know that the terrace is also next to a public "walkway" and is frequented by young teens at night , motorbikes whizzing by using it as a short cut, and early morning aunties on their walks. Don't get me wrong, it's not a huge deal but you will definitely see folks passing by if you are out there (and of course boats going back and forth) The room was great with the typical SE Asian bathroom with see thru wall to the bedroom hahahaha (you can lower the shade). Room didn't lack anything and the bathroom with amenities was awesome. Included mini bar was super yum, room was large and had everything ( I had room 135) . I was luckily put close to the 2nd floor breakfast restaurant and the breakie was great. They even made me salt coffee on both mornings. Lots of offerings to eat and no complaints. I used the very well equipped gym one morning and the pool right next to it looked nice. Also note that the pool and gym and in another building. My absolutley favorite part of the hotel was using their free bikes to cruise all over Hoi An (even went to An Bang Beach). I rode them both days, no issues, and even went out one morning before breakfast. The area around the hotel is in a "quieter" part of town (just over the river over a cute bridge) but still walkable if you wanted to. But a super small sidewalk on the bridge so be careful with everyone going by you; it's tight especially when vehicles are on it. There is a Winmart about a 5 minute walk and countless massage places and motobike rentals. The staff are very friendly including the chamber maids and the reception even recommended a place on the 2nd floor of the marketplace to fix my backpack zipper overnight (60,000 VND, so cheap!) I will definitely book the Bay resort when I'm back in Hoi An again for business next year!

First of all, I would like to thank the staff for helping me check in and immediately responding to my request. Thanks to them, I was able to spend two nights comfortably. This resort is a new resort, so it maintains clean rooms, and access to the old town is a great advantage. However, all rooms are non-smoking and smoking is not allowed on private terraces. Smokers can be tough vacation spots. Smoking is only possible outside the swimming pool or resort. When I spent a lonely time in a dark swimming pool bar to smoke late at night, I remember Hung ❤ smiling for coming up for my safety. All the staff at the Bay Resort were great^^

When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with a bright smile, which made us very happy. They also kindly carried our suitcases out of the car and up to the room. We booked a total of 3 rooms, but it felt even better when 2 rooms were upgraded upon check-in. We stayed at the Bay Resort for 12 days. The arrival was professional, because our request for a room on the ground floor for the first night could not be honored, we were offered a room on the 2nd floor and the next day, with attentive assistance, we were moved to a room with a terrace on the ground floor. However, what turned out to be a stumbling block was the very strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom. They initially tried to solve this with a diffuser and an extra air freshener, but that did not help much and we eventually moved to another room (again on the 2nd floor) where the air in the room was considerably better. What we think is a shame is that there is no outdoor space in this room. No balcony, you can only open the window slightly, but that's about it. The pros of this hotel are the breakfast offering (very extensive), but extra attention was paid to the knives, which were all blunt and difficult to cut with, the helpful service, the turndown service and the complimentary minibar.
However, we would like to mention a number of areas for improvement: The sewer smell, which is continuously present in the complex to a greater or lesser extent. The mattresses are too hard (for our taste), an attempt has been made to remedy this by supplying extra toppers. If the hotel is not full, the breakfast room may be suitable in size, but there were times when there was no room when we went for breakfast around 9:00 am. The room is also very noisy. The view is beautiful, right on the river! The pool water temperature was too low. No fun swimming in it and the range of chairs/sunbeds (without cushions, so not very comfortable) is also too small for a hotel of this size. The free (somewhat adjustable) bicycles are useful, but in our opinion they need to be better maintained. We have returned a bicycle several times because the brakes did not work properly, which is crucial with the traffic in Hoi An. The bicycles are also absolutely NOT suitable for people > 75kg / 1.80m. We rented a bicycle outside the hotel for one of us, which was better suited for someone of that weight and height.
Given this experience, we will choose a different accommodation on our next visit to Hoi An.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, it’s a short walk across the river to the town but is away from crowds providing a peaceful atmosphere. Staff were welcoming and friendly in each and every interaction. Beautiful pool area which affords views across the river to the town. Breakfast had something for everyone, there was so much variety with some changes made daily. It was nice to be able to try different local dishes but regular breakfast staples for those who don’t. The room size was generous and had free standing bath and a walk in shower. We also had an outdoor seating area. There were free snacks daily in the room and some drinks in minibar also complementary. Hard to fault this hotel and would highly recommend.

From arriving at the Bay Resort and being welcomed by their staff the experience and attention to our needs were second to none. My wife and I stayed in the heritage room but was upgraded to a riverview heritage room and could see the markets opposite.
They organised an airport transfer for us on short notice and picked us up with no issues and was reasonably priced $24usd.
The hotel staff were amazing always on hand to assist any request or serve us anything we needed. The food and drinks were amazing and that saying something as there are so mamy great places to eat in Hoi An. The breakfast was great variety and fresh and great selection of beverages hot and cold included.
Phuoc was the best, always on hand and so friendly and always welcoming and nothing was ever too much trouble.
Tuan was another standout staff member who would always be on hand to assist.
These 2 would always answer our questions and guide us in the right direction for where we wanted to go and places we wanted to see.
Also Harry from the reception team was very knowledgeable and would always reccomend some great places to get you started.
All in all a great experience and our next visiti to Hoi An would definetly be back. Service and facilities were 6 stars! Sad we had to leave but we booked a resort on the beach for the rest of our stay but sad we did. Our 3rd visit to Hoi An and we normally stay on the beach but glad we decided to visit the Bay Resort and stay in the centre rather than taxi or shuttle buses in.

We spent two nights at this luxury hotel in central Hoi An as part of our trip to Vietnam. From the moment we arrived, until our departure, we were so well looked after by every member of staff. On arrival you feel relaxed drinking a welcome drink and receiving a cold cloth as you complete check in procedures. The rooms have everything you could want. We had a room on the second floor of this low rise hotel. Breakfast in the Olive Restaurant was buffet-style with plenty of options for all tastes. We enjoyed sampling the Vietnamese breakfast choices. As everywhere, staff are plentiful and willing to help at all times. We did not use the gum or spa but both appeared to be in immaculate condition. We enjoyed the pool area with sunbeds and tables and the pool was clear and clean. Very relaxing. We enjoyed drinks from the pool bar. From the hotel it is just a short walk over the bridge to central Hoi An. You need to take care on the bridge as the sidewalk/pavement is narrow. Central Hoi An must be seen in the daytime and nighttime to maximise your experience. Long road of colourful, market stalls lesding to the main area. In the evening, when the sun goes fown, Hoi An is magical with it’s lantern boats giving river rides to tourists. It’s quite crowded so be prepared. The best part of Bay Resort is that it stands alone away from the crowds so gives you the feeling of a peaceful retreat after the crowds and yet is only a short walk away. We enjoyed every minute and could have stayed longer!

We did a family stay at this resort for 3 nights. We had taken 2 rooms for a family of 4. They gave us the rooms with a patio( didn't use it due to the heatwave). Would have loved to stay in the river facing rooms on the second level. Nevertheless, they were excellent rooms with good AC and generous bathrooms(two basins). Comfy beds and spacious accommodations. In our room package pick up and drop off from Danang airport was included. 4 pieces of laundry every day per room were included too. These perks made our stay highly convenient. We informed them that we are vegetarians beforehand. As their breakfast spread had limited vegetarian options, they made special vegetarian dishes for us during breakfast ( by chef Trang). These were the best vege Vietnamese food we had in our entire trip. Items like pho, Banh Mi, spring rolls were served to us every day for breakfast. We were amazed by the service staff during breakfast and would like to thank Tuan from the F&B and the coffee bartender Hoang for their excellent service. We were checked in by Black who gave us good recommendations for the tailor. Brian helped to arrange our 5am My son excursion efficiently. The cleaning staff would come for morning cleaning and an evening turn down service. The gym is in the basement but they are making a new one with a river view. The hotel location is an absolute winner! Will surely stay here again.
Room tip- Ask for the level 2 rooms facing the river.

This is a nice hotel, and the location is very convenient as it is just across the river from Old Town. Our room was spacious, modern, and clean. Anything in the minibar was free of charge and restocked daily (though there was no alcohol, likely for this reason). Our kids enjoyed spending time in the pool during the afternoons, and my wife and daughter went to the spa one evening for a massage and really enjoyed it.
Given the location, you can see the boats on the river and the lanterns on the other side. Our room had a small outdoor area where you could sit and watch. It is nice to have Old Town so accessible yet be somewhat removed from all the noise and foot traffic. However, the bridge you have to walk on is narrow, with an even narrower sidewalk. With all the traffic and scooters, you must be very careful as you walk. Definitely not something we enjoyed. The hotel does provide a shuttle at certain times to help you cross the bridge, especially during rush hour.
A breakfast buffet is included. I can't say it was great, as it lacked vegetarian options. You could order scrambled eggs or an omelet, but beyond that, you are pretty much limited to fruit, bread, yogurt, etc. Most of the warm dish trays were meat-centric.
The staff was professional, friendly and helpful, suggesting places to visit and helping us get tickets to shows. They also provide transportation to and from the airport, which was very convenient.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It's a good location for exploring Hoi An.

Our 5-night stay at the Bay Resort was nothing short of fantastic. As other reviews have noted, the service here is exceptional. From the front desk to the breakfast staff and housekeeping, every interaction was marked by love, care, and attention. Whether we needed ice delivered to our room or a drink by the pool, the response was prompt and efficient. The staff were always patient and accommodating, ready to assist with any questions about the area, hotel, tourism, or bookings.
We stayed in a junior suite, which epitomized 5-star luxury. The room’s finishes, from the bed to the shower and all the fittings, were stylish and befitting of such high-quality accommodation.
Breakfast was fantastic, though a few more vegetarian options would be appreciated. However, the staff were willing to prepare something special if needed, which was a nice touch.
The pool is modern and stunning, especially at night. While the tiles can get quite hot and the pool temperature could be cooler, this was a minor issue in an otherwise perfect stay. I hope the hotel considers addressing this in the future.
Finally, the location is excellent—close to the old town and various attractions along the river. The bridge can get busy, so it’s wise to be cautious and take your time crossing.
