Detailed Reviews
Imagine a cacophony of crowing cockerels every morning from 4am onwards. Not just one but up to 20 of them live next door! It’s comical if you aren’t sleep deprived. When the owner asked how we slept and we mentioned the cocks, she agreed saying, yes Viet chicken have strong voice!
Breakfast is preordered from a menu the night before. I liked my daily pho and fruit. You could stand a spoon in the coffee, but there’s milk to dilute it.
Rooms are new, well decorated and clean. Could do with a couple more hooks in the bathroom and a loo roll holder, but it’s normal in local restaurants to have the roll on the back of the tank. They have larger bottles of almost empty body gel, shampoo and lotion in the bathroom, shower worked wonderfully with ample hot water. Had to ask for more shower gel from the owner who was more than happy to oblige me an ounce of the stuff. Nice duvets and bathrobes and I liked having the ceiling fan as well as air conditioning.
No regrets though, we had a good stay. Due to coronavirus scare, the room was 45%off costing around $43 Canadian/ night, which was a bargain.

A wonderful new small hotel just outside the old town. The location could not be better. The hotel is brand new, very clean. The rooms are elegant, but still you feel like home here. Bathrooms are big and well equipped.
The breakfast room has an open kitchen, so you can see that everything is fresh and well prepared.
The pool is beautiful, and the chairs aroud it are inviting.
I cannot find the words to describe the staff, they are super.

Sophie Villa was lovely from start to finish, Cherry and Ms Na made everything run so smoothly, and were so friendly and lovely. The room was the most comfortable on the whole trip, with lovely soft pillows, a super bathroom, and a cute balcony. The location was really good - between the cheaper 'backpapcker' side and the old town, we could walk to the attractions in 7 minutes along the river, but also had no problem getting an out of town pharmacy and dropping our motorbike at MotorVina. The breakfast was DELICIOUS, cooked fresh when you got up, also with a selection of pastries and fresh fruits and of course cafe sua!!!
The only problem we had was that there is a grubby little bar, which has no one in it and looks very much outside it's zoning regulations pumping music across the road at night. No fear - the hotel happily moved us to a room where we couldn't hear the bar with no effort on our part.

Room Tip:Â the rooms at the back don't have as nice of a view, but you can't hear the bar at night.

We had a two nights non refundable booked at Villa Sophie but ended up staying only one and lost money but we couldn’t stay longer. The check in lady was very nice and so welcoming, the room was clean and well decorated ! Upon check in we received ear plugs without mentioning why we would get some- We went off property and noticed that right in front of the hotel there is bar by we did not pay attention and went exploring. Upon return, maybe around 11 Pm we got in our room but couldn’t sleep until late in the night due to the loud music of the bar in front ! We felt sorry that we didn’t know but also that we received hear plugs without telling us why. We would have changed hotel right away..
This is the reason why we decided to leave even without refund, a pity because the hotel is nice so does the room And the staff.

Great 3 night stay at Coco Viet (Sophie Villa).
For the price, it’s great value for money. Clean, comfortable beds, decent bathroom, balcony etc. It is a pretty basic but has all you need as a base.
The hotel was a great location for us as we could still walk into the old town but it wasn’t right in the middle which we liked.
Tina was very helpful and organised a cooking class which we would highly recommend as well as helped us with bike rental. We cycled to the beach through the rice paddies which was a fun experience.
Overall, would not hesitate to stay here again.

We were really well looked after here. So close to old town, everyone was so friendly, they had everything you needed on offer or would walk you to where you can get it. Tina was so accomodating and would chat with us about what we needed. She organised transport for us and even organised a motorbike for us to ride.
Totally worth staying here. The rooms are amazing, bed is soft, pool is beautiful, location is very convenient and with breakfast included you can’t go wrong.

Loved our stay at Villa Soleil. Kind and accommodating staff, very clean place and beautiful rooms. The location is ideal, very close to Hoi An’s old quarter. The pool is also a perfect temperature :)
The staff can also organize airport/bus transfers upon request which was very useful for us!

The hotel is well located, the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, the rooms (especially the bathrooms) are very old. Some of the tiles are coming off the walls, the silicone is discolored, there is mold on the ceiling, etc. They don't take cleaning very seriously either. Unfortunately, the pool is practically unusable because it is very small and faces the street. There are no loungers or places to sit after swimming.
Breakfast is freshly prepared every morning.

Small and beautiful hotel, with clean and very bright rooms, good bathroom and good shower.
The bathroom extractor was broken and loud.
Breakfast you order the day before, and very little, free wifi.
Swimming pool on the ground floor.
Attentive and friendly staff.
Excellent location.

Young and all the staff were friendly and the breakfast service just outstanding too. So close to the Old Quarter and shopping was so much fun. We went to Rainbow tailor for a suit and clothing treated so well the experience fully appreciated 💙
