We chose this accommodation after searching on line and of course had no idea what it would be like or how well located it was until we arrived in Hoi An. We couldn’t have been happier with our 3 night stay. Ting at the front counter was fantastic to deal with - even returning to work late in the evening to meet us when we first arrived and our plane was delayed. Each morning she greeted us warmly and showed us to our breakfast table in the bustling cafe next door. It was an easy walk (which we did several times a day) across the bridge to the old quarter or down the road (along the river) to the many bars and restaurants.
We were near enough to be able to walk everywhere but far enough away so as not to be disturbed by any night time noise. Our room was calm, cool and comfortable and we couldn’t fault its cleanliness or what was provided. We thoroughly recommend Truc Loc Villa for location, cleanliness, great staff and value for money.

We were travelling as two families with kids and chose this villa be near the ancient town, having a pool for kids, and having separate two bedroom apartments. This place ticked all the boxes. It is no frills but comfortable. To be fair, in Hoi An you spend most of the time out and about so why pay a fortune for a hotel room?

What made a huge difference to us and what leads me to put a review in here is the Villa Manager lady called Caan. I cannot begin to describe how helpful and lovely she was to us. She kept an eye out for all of us. When I was a bit sick she noticed and made me tea with ginger and lemon and honey. She negotiated with drivers for us to make sure we got the best price. She was so genuine and lovely. We miss her.

If you are researching accommodation and looking for a ge uinely run, hospitable and good value guest house near to the centre please feel confident booking. Because of Caan, I feel I can also confidently say that this would also be a safe place for younger travellers who may need someone looking out for them and making sure they're safe and happy.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days while in Hoi an and it was the perfect place. The location is excellent, located in the old town district which is only a 10 minute bike cycle ride from the beach. The hotel is located right on the edge of the town centre so a 2 minute walk right in to the hustle and bustle on the night life but far enough away for a good nights sleep. The business is a family run hotel operated by the loveliest people you could wish to meet. They arranged all our excursions and transport which they where all brilliant fun and much cheaper than using the local operators. The coffee house below offers some of the best coffee in town, you will notice this as it’s always full of the locals. The hotel has free cycle use, ideal for shooting off to the beach with. The hotel has a nice view over the river and next to a bridge. Special thanks must go to NaNa who guided use to some great excursions and offered very helpful advice while speaking in excellent English. As for value for money, it is exceptional value for money. While it’s not a high end hotel, it gives you everything you need and your room is cleaned daily. I would definitely stay here again.

Upon arriving, we were greeted by the wonderful Nana who was extremely helpful - Nana was able to recommend local restaurants, guide us to the nearest ATMs, show us where to buy cheap SIM cards and provide us with activity brochures etc.

We initially stayed in the economy room, which was good value for money. Double bed, en-suite, kettle, fridge, towels, hairdryer provided. We decided to extend our stay and were put in the room with a river view (upgrade from economy room). The room with a river view is much bigger than economy; therefore, if you’re looking for spacious accommodation, you may want to opt for this room.

The Villa also provides free bicycles which is a bonus.

The location is great, right on the river front and 5 minute walk from the night market.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to visit Hoi An.

I felt really welcomed here in this lovely family run hotel. It’s a great location, only 5-10min walk to the night market and old town but in a quiet location on the river but away from the noise. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and the owners were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. I’d definitely recommend it.

Great location. Far enough away from the evening noise of the Old Town but close enough to walk to everything we wanted to visit. We had 7 nights in Hoi An and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The Truc Loc Villa is a perfect choice for all travellers whether for a couple of days to a week. They organised an airport pickup at a very reasonable price which was added to the room bill.   Located near to a number of good breakfast cafes such as Ellie's and Thom Sourdough. Rooms are clean and spacious and Nana has a lot of useful suggestions for excursions should you wish. There is a coffee shop next to reception and a small splash pool and a couple of sunbeds out front. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and TV with ample channel choices.

Highly recommend

The hotel rooms are really nice. Big and spacious in a good location. However we booked a 2 bedroom suite to be told the day before that this was unavailable for our first night. On arrival we were also informed that the kitchen was ‘out of action’ and no breakfast was available. We were advised to go elsewhere with no recommendation (go to Ellie’s cafe down the road).
Balcony furniture also broken
Despite this I’d stay here again if I knew this in advance

Absolutely lovely.

Very comfortable, bathroom is excellent, and the balcony is gorgeous. Breakfasts are available in the villa’s coffee shop on the ground floor - our pho was delicious - or it is just 10 or so minutes’ walk along the riverside to the bustle of the old town. Near enough to be easy; far enough to be peaceful.
Sunny, Cindy and NaNa were fabulously helpful before and during our trip, and easily arranged airport transfers, last-minute tours after our original plans had to change, and even got our laundry done for us.
Highly, highly recommend.

This was our first trip to Vietnam and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Truc Loc. Perfect location, clean facilities, Daily turn over of our room and well organised. From the moment we arrived Nana was amazing. She made sure our stay was as carefree as possible. From organising day trips, recommendations on food options, ensuring we arrived safely to/from our destinations and keeping us hydrated with plenty of water and coffee, I would highly recommend Truc Loc. Nana made our stay enjoyable and fuss free. Thank you for showing us your beautiful country. We will surely return! 😊

Stayed here for 5 nights and had an amazing time. The rooms are excellent value. Really clean, cool and spacious with a nice balcony. Cam is fantastic as are her family. They were so friendly and helpful. They organised airport transfer from DaNang as a very reasonable price. Every morning we dropped down to the cafe for coffees. She loaned us bikes and gave us towels, water and directions to the beach. Really felt like part of the family. Can't wait to visit again! Thank you for everything.
