This cozy homestay is in the country side right outside the Hoi An center. It's a bit far by car but there is a nice shortcut for bikes and scooters. The best part is the host will let you use the bikes for free or rent you a scooter. She also helped us with booking tours, drop offs, and pick ups. We got to explore the country side then head into the city center when we wanted to be a part of fun

Review-overzicht van Google 4,6 52 reviews 5 ★ 4 ★ 3 ★ 2 ★ 1 ★ Reviews op andere reissites Reviews Zoeken in reviews Niels Dieleman 5/5 een week geleden op Google We stayed here in april 2023 for $26 / 2 people / 3 nights / breakfast included total. One of our favourite places during our 3 weeks in VN. Rooms are decent and Than, the lady of the house, speaks excellent English, is friendly and helpful in arranging things. As everywhere in Vietnam, the magnifying-glass-equiped overcritical budget traveller may find a small detail here and there that invites improvement but overall it's comfortable, clean and just great value for money. Our room on the streetside had a tiny balcony, double bed, bathroom with shower, tv, good wifi and airconditioning, in other words all the basics you need. Tip for the owner: a small fridge would've been nice but we could use the one in the kitchen downstairs. Breakfast with coffee is simple but makes for a good start of the day. We especially liked the quiet neighbourhood with alleys full of greens and flowers and a few small shops and eateries scattered around the area with affordable local food. We didn't see any menus in English which we think is always a good sign. It's a delight compared to the noisy, over-touristical mess the Hoi An old quarter has become. Do keep in mind it is tucked far away from pretty much everything. You'll really need a bicycle or preferably a motorbike to go to the city centre and beaches (motorbike for rent at 130k-150k/day, gas not included, but gasstation right around the corner). This also allows the experienced biker to visit My Son and Marble Mountain on a day trip on your own rather than with a pricy guided tour. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at New Destination Homestay with Tuan and her family. The place is clean and the room is comfortable. Her husband is very nice and helpful. You feel at home right away. They are very welcoming and resourceful so they can help with your stay in Hoi An. Communication was easy and all was in a family like vibe. We are now friends and we will surely comeback to see them!

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed every minute. Thr price is amazing for the hospitality you receive. We were picked up from the airport and as soon as we were on the back of motorbikes heading past Hoi An and through the countryside and rivers near Cam Kim island (where the homestay is located) i knew the experience was going to be special. Tuan is a kind, welcoming lady who spoke good english, her husband was also extremely kind and cooked us breakfast every morning and helped us with hiring bicylces and scooters. Rental was at a good price and the bikes and scooters were in good condition with helmets provided. The room was spacious and clean with a powerful AC and a small balcony area looking over the street. The area was great, no tourists, just locals and lush rice paddies and fishermans boats floating on the river. It was about a 15 minute cycle to Hoi An and about a 5-10 min scooter. The roads were pretty quiet leading into Hoi An, and almost empty around the homestay which made our first drive on a scooter very pleasant and scenic. The two children are absolutely adorable and try and chat and play with you which really brought a smile to our faces. Overall a lovely family, a nice kind atmosphere, they could not do enough to help us and we would love to stay here again. We were recovering from getting sick in Saigon so spent a lot of time relaxing at the homestay in a quiet calm atmosphere with a clean comfy bed and netflix!! Although it is slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Hoi An, i feel it allowed us to see local life and escape the tourists whilst still being close enough to enter the town centre when we needed. Memories of driving across bridges under the stars surrounded by rice paddies and a soft breeze will stay with us forever, and we wouldnt have experienced this had we stayed in central Hoi An. Thank you to Tuan and her family and we wish them the best!

Rooms - super clean, comfy bed, great air con, powerful hot shower and Netflix on the tv is just another bonus for a long overdue little movie. WiFi also good. Location - the locals are beautiful people and you warmly welcomed anywhere at the local food spots if you don’t want to go a short drive or cycle to walking street. Bikes and motorbikes for rent here also so is ideal. Breakfast - always delicious and included in price helps to set you up for the day. Coffee always is in your hand from the minute you step downstairs - THANK YOU. I honestly can not fault this place we keep extending our stay as we are so comfortable, the family are so friendly and helpful. They work so hard and you can tell as this place is awesome.

Fantastic hosts! They treated us like members of the family for the whole duration of our stay, and the entire area is full of friendly and helpful locals. Our room was perfect and very private, but we were also regularly invited to join the family for activities, or just for tea and a chat. The youngest members of the family are very sweet, and enjoyed practicing some English with us! The location is an easy ride into town on bikes, which are always available to rent for low rates. It's a very manageable walk too, which we did on numerous occasions. Having breakfast included was great, making our mornings very easy and relaxing. Some days it was a great omelette, others maybe a local speciality like Cao Lau noodles - it was nice to enjoy some variety. We had a fabulous experience here, and are so glad we chose to stay here with such a wonderful family - it can be very hectic in the old town and it was nice to have such an oasis of calm to escape to after a busy day!

What a fabulous stay! We spent 12 nights here over the Lunar New Year, and it was the perfect location to relax and enjoy local life, while still being within easy reach of approachable tourist spots that stayed open over the holiday. Cam Kim island is a beautiful residential area, with a number of local coffee shops, and great cycling options around the nearby fields and quiet streets. The host family are a delight and went to great lengths to make us feel welcome; we ended up as guests at their family new year party, as well as joining them for some meals, on outings to their favourite local spots and even to visit friends. There is always somebody around the house which makes it feel very secure, and they are always keen to help you with breakfast, bicycles or motorbikes. It's a short ride into the old town centre via the new bridge, (too narrow for cars so taxis have to go the long way around). Our room was pretty and clean, with big windows, a small balcony space and a really good shower. Netflix on the tv was great for a quiet night-in! From tailoring to tours, there's an array of skills and advice on offer. We rented one of their motorbikes for the day and rode out to the UNESCO site of My Son in around an hour - there's a well-priced little petrol station very nearby and it was easy to take quieter back roads most of the way. We had such a wonderful time that we are quite sad to be leaving. We'll definitely be visiting again the next time we are in Vietnam!
