Stayed one night. Well located a short walk from the ferry terminal, the bus terminal and the old town.
A few steps at the entrance with no ramp (inconvenient with luggage). No elevator.
My room was on the ground floor - small with basic furnishings, clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Sufficient number of power jacks. Shower with decent water pressure.
Complimentary wifi with some hiccups.
Blackout curtains did not cover the entire window - sleep mask essential. Soundproofing is lacking: while there isn't much street noise during the night, there is noise from the other rooms (doors being slammed, people walking on hard floors or showering, etc.) - ear plugs essential and don't plan to sleep past 07:00.
Basic buffet breakfast.

The rooms are clean and the service is kind. Good location, walking distance from city center. Parking lots in the street right in front of the hotel. The room and the bathroom need some restoration since are quite dated but nothing serious. Good budget choise for 1 or 2 days in the city.

Excellent hotel for a short stay in Colonia, Uruguay. Location is very convenient, just a few blocks from the passengers' port and within walking distance from the city center. The hotel is very well decorated, clean and cozy. Breakfast is abundant and varied. Staff is really heavy and polite.

Excellent location - easy walking distance from the ferry terminal and right across the street from Europcar where we had a rental car already booked. A few blocks from the historic centre. I'd booked this first night in Uy on the internet and it turned out to be one of the best valued hotels of our 3 week stay. We paid $US80 for a double (actually they gave us a twin but we didn't really mind). We didn't notice any street noise but we had travelled a very long way so maybe we were just tired.

Very clean. Room was very small but had all we needed - fridge, hair dryer, wifi and a good shower. Most of the staff were helpful with our not so good command of Spanish.

Breakfast is very good compared to most Uy hotels it turned out and we got plenty of amusement out of the lady in charge of the buffet who was obsessed with its military style presentation - re-arranging the rolls if you'd inadvertently rendered the pile asymmetric, straightening every piece of cutlery if you dislodged a spoon and generally lining everything back up on the buffet after each patron moved through! But anyway, for all the fun, it made for a very clean, well-presented breakfast even if you were afraid to touch anything when the lady was watching! Highly recommended hotel.

We recently stayed here on our trip to Colonia. It is a few blocks from the bus terminal and also the ferry to Buenos Aires. It is a nice hotel, The room is nice and has a comfortable bed, refrigerator, air conditioning, tv, and fan. The room comes with breakfast and has strong wifi. The staff does not speak Engish, but will do their best to communicate and are helpful. The hotel is close to the centre of town and Old Town. It is safe to walk the streets, even at night. There are several restaurants nearby.

I had one night in Colonia and the location proved perfect. As per other reviews the hotel is located right by the port and even closer to the bus station and within easy walking distance to the old city.

Rooms are clean, breakfast is basic , overall great value and made a short visit and first hop to Montevideo ideal.

I found it's location by the port and bus station very practical. As Colonia is tiny there's no need to be in the old city to be well located - you can walk anywhere.
The hotel is new, clean, very charming and the rooms comfortable, although small. Wi-fi does not work that well on the 2nd floor, but that was not a big issue. Breakfast is basic but tasty.
Would definitely recommend it.

Overall we had a pleasant stay here. The rooms are new and very clean. Even on the first floor, street noise didn't bother us as there weren't many cars going by at night. We were able to pick up the wifi from our room. The location across from the ferry terminall/bus station was very convenient, and although this hotel is not quite at the center of Colonia, it's such a small town that it doesn't matter at all (and I appreciated the convenience of just walking across the street with my luggage when I got off the ferry). The included breakfast was plentiful.

The only negative was that half the bathroom floor got wet when we used the shower, and we had to open the windows after using the shower as the room took on a humid smell. But, that was the only negative, and for $80/night, we were pretty satisfied.

My husband and I spent three days in a standard twin room on the second floor (first floor = ground floor). We chose the hotel because it offered the most conveniences for U$S 80 that we could find in Colonia and because it was new. We did not choose the third floor rooms because there is no elevator in the building.
LOCATION: Two blocks from the entrance to the port where the ferries and catamarans from Buenos Aires dock. One block away from a main avenue with lots of hotels and restaurants. Nine blocks away from the gate to the colonial historic area. A bus stop at the corner is handy because you can go to the bull ring, the bay beaches (rocks, sand and shallow waters), Ferrando beach (best beach for bathing, wide stretch of white sand) and the new shopping centre (the only two movie theatres are located here).
ROOMS: Rather smallish, but containing two twin beds, one night table and lamp, a wood shelf to lay a small piece of luggage on, a mini fridge under the shelf, two wood stools. A 21" TV set mounted on the wall, just beneath the ceiling. The closet contains a safety box which opens with a key that you take with you. Air conditioning of the silent type, worked fine.
The room overlooks a small garden and the wall of neighbouring building. The rooms overlooking the street have a small balcony and a view of the river: try to get one.
Mattresses and pillows were new, firm, clean and good quality.
The bathroom is large, with a shower. No hair dryer. Flushing the toilet is noisy, as it takes a long time for the tank to re-fill. You can hear the re-filling of neighbouring toilets as well as yours.
SERVICE: There is no beverage or food service other than at breakfast. There is a reception counter manned by one person (we saw three different people working shifts). As we were settling into the room, we discovered the fridge was not working. The reception girl came up to check and, since it did not work, changed us to another room. Although it had recently been made up (the window was open to try to mask the strong smell of rancid smoke), the bathroom had hair conditioner but no shampoo or soap. We called reception and the nice girl (Melanie) came up with soap bars and a shampoo bottle. Melanie and the other girl at reception gave us directions and suggestions. Rooms were clean.
BREAKFAST: Plentiful, replenished regularly, fresh food. Standard fare: yohgurt, two cereals, fresh fruit, slices of ham and cheese, bread rolls, croissants, toast, pound cake, jam, honey, coffee, tea, cocoa. The breakfast room ("Cafeteria") is a long narrow room on the first floor, right next to the guest rooms.
TO SUM UP: Best value for money, considering the mini fridge, the safety box and the new building and fittings. I believe one of the reasons for the reasonable price is that it is not within the historic district. Hotels in Colonia are either very expensive or sub-standard. This is a very good middle choice.

This is a simple hotel but has everything you really need: Bed, Toilet, Shower, Fridge, Fan, TV and Breakfast which was not anything to write home about but got me through the night. The staff were very limited with English. The walk from Buquebus was only 3 minutes and the walk to the town is around 7 mins. A nice little hotel with enough to be occupied for a day or two. This place does not have a lift so taking your luggage on the top floor can be a struggle. There is not much room noise at night. But one thing I have to arise is that this place have the worst curtains in the world! You can't even call it curtains it's just nothing.

Hola. Saludos y Buen viaje!
