The dress code for Rixos Bab al Bahr is smart casual. I have seen people who don't follow the code and they, other than sticking out like a sore thumb, usually are served. The written prohibition which is actually quite permissive just bans swim suits in the restaurant as well as shorts (men) and flip-flops. As in all Muslim lands women are encouraged to dress modestly. Since the restaurants are all air conditioned, sometimes too much so, more rather than less clothing may be required inside. Having been to Rixos about 9 times in the past 4 years I would say that about 80% of the women do dress smart casual.
