To rejuvenate with nature in the spring, to escape from the sweltering heat and crowds in the summer and to relax in a quiet, peaceful garden, to enjoy the autumn, to feel the mild air of the Mediterranean... Yonca Lodge is a small hotel with 14 rooms located in Yanıklar Village of Fethiye. It is located in the center of the most beautiful islands and bays of the Mediterranean, in a lovely garden decorated with various fruit trees and flowers. On one side of the houses, which have simply furnished and spacious rooms, is a sweetgum tree (Liquidambar orientalis) forest, an endemic species, and on the other side flows a stream, which is the habitat of many creatures, including ducks. The restaurant next to the beach and the surrounding mansions attract those who want to listen to the sounds of waves and birds in a quiet corner. Hammocks set up in the shadows of trees will further increase your desire to read books.

Detailed Reviews
Very glad to have found and stayed in Yonca lodge. We stayed in a superior room with a jacuzzi just outside your door, view of pool and the sea perfect for lounging. We have our dog with us, and it was super pet-friendly. She enjoyed playing with the chickens and ducks. The sea was perfect for me for swimming, sometimes it’s calm and sometimes wavy which I liked more. Very clean and well maintained, so much greenery around, and the pond certainly added to the charm of the place, you can just sit for hours and watch big seabass jumping, birds swooping in or ducks diving or playing. We liked that it is tucked away in an area that’s not touristic, but not too far to drive to those areas as well (Calis is like 10 minutes drive). We look forward to staying in Yonca again.

Yonca Lodge was the perfect location for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful, friendly setting. The rooms are charming and comfortable and have everything you’d want or need. The food at beachfront restaurant was delicious with views that can’t be beat. The hotel staff is warm and accommodating- I’d highly recommend Yonca!

This place is one of the best place I have ever spent my holiday. I was there in October and the weather and sea was fantastic. I swam in the sea everyday. I spent 4 days here. Inceredible natural. This is not a real hotel, ot is a kind of farm but all is clean and the rooms are designed in a very elegant way. All you need is there. The food was really good. I really liked this place and if I find time again I definetly go this placa again and again. The sea was perfect. You can also walk to other beaches which makes long tour for walking as sport.

We wanted to have dinner at the hotel where we went to benefit from the beach. Despite the warm and caring attitude of the official Berna Hanım, we were not satisfied with the food we ate. The plates were prepared very carelessly. The portions were small and tasteless, the prices of the food were exorbitant. Despite the beauty of the garden and the beach, the food was so bad This caused us to leave dissatisfied. The fondest memory of our Fethiye holiday was the dinner we had here.

the hotel is fine. silent and private. An ideal hotel for those who do not like very crowded environments. It has its own beach, and a pool is available to anyone. The restaurant part is right at the bottom of the beach and even inside. the rooms are comfortable and clean and have everything you need. employees are respectful and polite. For me, the negative part is eating options other than breakfast. the menu is not enough, the choice is few and expensive in my opinion.

If you''re looking for tranquility and tranquility first, Yonca Lodge is the place to be. It was our second stay. We were very pleased. The hotel is all about the mountain. An ideal spot to listen to the head. The design of the rooms is pretty, too. Dinner is especially enjoyable on the sandy beach. We were very pleased and thank the hotel crew.

A lovely beachside hotel, with an emphasis on organic food and a clean, rustic decor. Lots of fruit trees on the property, chickens running around - lovely. The BEST restaurant, right on the beach. The lack of an English menu was a bit of a challenge but I had the best breakfast of my entire trip there. And the calamari at dinner were to die for.

Yonca Lodge - Just returned from 10 days holiday there - what a relaxing and restful place to spend some time in!!! Situated half an hour outside Fethiye (by dolmus) and about three quarters of an hour from Dalaman airport.
First the bad bit - the property is situated between 2 big hotels and you will get some noise in the evenings when they have shows or discos, but we found that with the windows and doors shut, and the aircon on, it was usually very muted, only really noticeable if you go out on the balcony.
The property consists of 2 blocks with 6 rooms in each (over 3 floors), and a single story bungalow overlooking the beach/pool with 2 rooms. The older block of 6 rooms is finished in traditional dark stained pine and tiled floors (rooms 101,102,111,112,121,122) but the newer block of 6 has plain stripped pine finish with wooden floors (rooms 103, 104, 113,114, 123,124) which gives a lighter and roomier feel. The beach view rooms (201,202) look to be slightly larger and I was told that they had a bath but I didn't see inside them.
Our penthouse room, 122, was on the 3rd floor in the roof of the first block and the balcony view was inland over the gardens and mountains. In my opinion the best penthouse room is 123 as it is in the newer block, and you have a sea view.
As you enter Yonca lodge you see the gardens spreading out in front of you, with chickens, ducks and geese wandering freely over the lawns and gardens. A small streams borders you on the right populated with Turtles, Kingfishers, Frogs and various Fish. Carry on past the pool and you see the beach with it's views to the Islands in Fethiye bay. On your right is the beach restaurant, with all the tables dotted over the sand under the trees. On the sandy beach are padded sunbeds, hammocks and raised shaded platforms with cushions. The sea is bordered by large pebbles but sandy after 1m into the sea. Beach towels are provided free.
Breakfast is typically Turkish with fruit, eggs, cheeses, tomatoes, yogurt, bread and pancakes. Drinks are fruit juices, tea or coffee.
Afternoon tea is provided free of charge with a selection of cakes and there is always a bowl of fruit to help yourself to.
The evening meal can be selected from the menu or you can choose the set menu for 45 TL each. This consists of 5 courses, soup, salad, 4 mezes, main dish, pudding and a glass of wine.
The food overall was very good but you must be prepared for the odd cold addition with your main dish. The tap water is drinkable as fed from a spring. If you want a wider variety then the dolmus costs 5TL into Fethiye where you have a varied selection of restaurants - 1/2 hourly service after 8pm till 12.30pm.
If you want peace and quiet then this is an oasis - but there is not much around you apart from one small shop and a very noisy bar just round the corner. Staff are always helpful and the manager Daniella will always do her utmost for you. Very amusing watching the chickens/ducks being rounded up for the night - one always gets away!!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Yonca Lodge for about 10 days in September of 2010. I am an avid travel researcher and found Yonca and checked here for feedback- we knew immediately we needed to make it to this lodge. We had spent an amazing week in Istanbul and felt it would be difficult to rival though a totally different environment. We had done the city- and loved it. Now is was time for R & R. We fly from Istanbul on a low cost carrier had a great experience and arrived to the airport. I had google translated the address and contact info in Turkish. It was dark out, so it was difficult to tell much about the area. The taxi driver was perplexed as to how we had found to the lodge as it is tucked quite far out....just what we wanted, a more authentic feel than some ginormous multi plex facility...once we arrived we were shyly, but warmly greeted by whom we found our later was the mother of the family that owns and runs the operation. The taxi driver so taken by the little jewel we had found- he got out of the car and checked it out- talked to the woman and left impressed. We had selected the Yonca Lodge (Yonca meaning Shamrock) based on the low key atmosphere, small size, community/organic farm foods, and beachfront access. None were a disappointment! The food was top notch and the servers were the families’ children, they were poor at English, us poor at Turkish, but we laughed and managed. The staff was gracious to arrange any type of activity- internet to check work emails, touch base with family was sufficient, rooms were precious...though our only criticism was with the rock hard pillow and scratchy bedding blanket...but a non issue when you consider all of the rest Yonca has to offer. We loved the seclusion, the people we me there and were treated like special guests....complete with lunch delivered in our seaside cabana. The atmosphere was great...the family dog meandered around...chickens were our constant entertainment as the begged at the table and believe it or now had bread preferences. Their antics were fodder for laughter from all of the guests no matter the language barrier. Some guests came and went after a night or two. We had the luxury to truly drink in the atmosphere. We walked to "Yankilar" and bought a few grocery treats to keep in the fridge provided and at our items and the mini bar items as well. The prices for the mini bar and the lunches (as we did half board) were very reasonable..(We just a tip and letter with the family as we left for the whole trip rather than tipping as we went -which wasn't expected- they were gracious...I diverge- in addition to walking to town and going jogging a few days, we walked the beaches, caught at minibus to Fethiye for the day-ate at the fish market (a must...you buy any seafood at the central market for 5 Lira they prepare your selection for you at surrounding restaurants and provide salad and garlic bread) we also took a island ship tour one day. After being on the go in the city we were content to lounge but certainly more was available to us than we opted for. The lodge is great for young families, couples young and old, teen agers would grow bored I think. The trip was amazing...a trip of a lifetime...and he proposed while we were swimming in the ocean! Enjoy your trip and support the Yonca Lodge who works so hard!
