Horus Paradise Luxury Resort boasts a stellar location favored by guests for its closeness to the old town and picturesque beach, set amidst well-maintained grounds. However, the hotel's charm is overshadowed by mixed reviews on room maintenance and cleanliness, with some visitors calling for improved housekeeping. While the staff's demeanor receives varied feedback, from friendly to unhelpful, guests often feel disgruntled over hidden costs and the extra charges for basic amenities, leading to a consensus that the resort does not offer good value for money. Additionally, the atmosphere is frequently criticized due to the disruptive poolside music and uncomfortable interactions between management and staff.

Hotel has a lot of potential. Pools are great. But That’s where it stops.
Staff are not interested in customers often rude. A tip should be earned by good service not expected in order to get good service!
Air con in communal areas only 1 degree cooler than outside as they are too cheap to make it comfortable.
“Free Wi-Fi” is limited to 256mb. After that they charge: 3€ per day, 15€ per week or 22€ per fortnight. For a family of 4 for 2 weeks that’s an additional 88€ on top!

Food is same thing EVERY morning and every night. Very little variation. Food is actually ok. Nice salads and tasty Turkish meals but need much more variation. Queues in food and drink areas bad.

Worst thing about this hotel is the sun bed situation. There are just not enough and what they have are fully towelled up by 7am with most beds laying empty all day long except the towels. Signs state reserved beds will be removed after 30 mins but in two week stay never saw a single reserved bed made available. We did however see three fights over sun beds. Never seen a hotel so bad for this.

Family room was ok and spacious but cleaner only cleaned the toilet and refreshed towels. Carpets were filthy. Nothing deserving of a tip. First holiday like this.

There are steps every where as on a steep hill and the Pool towels are at the top. Would be better if in the pool area and the staff helped you with the beds. The Egyptians manage to do this very well and are polite. The staff at this hotel are just not interested in helping you out.

Music around the pool constant excessive full volume with speakers distortion. A power cut give us 20 minutes of respite.

Nothing here bad enough to really “spoil” the holiday but came away feeling it could have been much better.

Would not recommend.

Hello!🌴

We came home at the weekend from the Horus Paradise Luxury Resort Hotel (Side), we spent 8 days there.
We traveled with the Freebird airline through the Sun&Fun agency. We had a smooth trip there and back.
We liked it a lot, we didn't find anything to complain about, and before your trip we read a lot about it.😊
The hotel room was clean and relatively spacious.
The cleaners came continuously every day and if we asked for something, they did it right away.
There is also a selection of dishes, and the waiters always came to see if we had any requests.
There were 3 large pools, in this great heat it was at a perfect temperature, and there was also a bar next to it.
The sea was pleasantly warm at 29 degrees, slowly deepening and sandy.
The Old Town was about 5-10 minutes from the hotel by taxi, we were also at the Manavgat waterfall and the Mosque, it wasn't too bad either, about 20 minutes from the hotel.
The taxi drivers were also nice and helpful.
As we left the hotel, there was a row of bazaars and a bigger one 1 km away.
Next to the pool, there were entertainment programs and a foam party every day.
Through the organization of the hotel, we visited a nightclub there (Seven Side Eventhall), which we really liked, it was an unforgettable experience, the animators of the hotel were at our disposal for everything, they were very nice and we were never bored with them😁.
A girl named Kudret helped a lot with everything and was very kind and fun.
And she dances very well.😁💃🏼
He made the programs and the atmosphere at the pools next to the bar.
The hotel is in a very large area.
The Wifi is not exactly the best, they have a specific usage option after which you have to pay for it, we bought a card outside, which is better for that.

So after reading a lot of terrible reviews about this resort, myself and my partner decided to go anyway - and thank god we did! Had the most incredible time at Horus.

We did have an initial problem with the room as it was connecting with another room via a locked door, with a family in there who were very loud. We requested to change rooms and were moved to a lovely sea view room for no additional charge.

The staff were all lovely and a lot of them do speak very good English - so if you've seen previous reviews from other English natives that have been here complaining about rude and non-English speaking staff, don't pay attention to them! If you are polite and respectful to the staff, they will go above and beyond to make sure you have a lovely stay!

There were plenty of sun loungers both around the pool areas and on the beach, and never had an issue with finding some. The bars around the resort had a great selection of spirits and soft drinks and the beer they had on tap was amazing! The cocktails in the lobby bar were perfectly made fresh-to-order in front of you by super friendly bartenders. The water slides at one of the pools were amazing and so much fun - but on some of them you can't go on without a doughnut inflatable, which can be bought (for a fairly steep price) from a shop within the resort. Would recommend to bring your own!

The food was average in the main restaurant, nothing to write home about, but there was always plenty of selection to choose from and a lovely range of fresh fruit, breads and salads. The only drawback was that they don't stagger eating times in the evening, so the buffet area gets very busy and hot in the evenings - would definitely recommend going between 18:30 and 19:00 if you don't want other guests getting in your way when you're trying to get your food! The pool bar had Gozleme (similar to a crepe but better) in the afternoon, the beach bar had a snack / lunch buffet and the patisserie had so many cakes to offer! There's always food to be found so you wont go hungry

One of the many highlights of our trip was the al a carte restaurant above the beach bar. This is free if you're staying 7 nights or longer and can be booked via guest relations. We went for the Mexican option and the food was gorgeous and freshly prepared. The service was incredible and we left feeling very full and happy. We saved this for the last night, but would recommend doing this earlier on in your holiday.

Our room was cleaned daily and had a stocked mini bar with water and soft drinks which is completely free of charge! It came in handy as we didn't have to buy water every day. There are also water stations around the resort where you can fill up your bottles with safe to drink, ice cold water.

Would recommend booking excursions through Ali, who will most likely be sorting your return shuttle to the airport. He was lovely, funny and very knowledgeable.

Overall, everything was clean and tidy, the staff were incredible and super friendly! We had the most incredible and amazing time at the resort and would definitely come back here again.

Honestly wouldn’t bother if you’re an English family. We booked through Love Holidays and wish it was advertised that this is a Russian dominated hotel. The building itself and the swimming pools are five star, they’re perfect, the rooms are lovely if you can get working air con, but everything else was terrible. Staff speak minimal English, other guests don’t know how to queue and are SO rude. Very ignorant, made our experience not worth the money we paid. Food is shocking, same things every day, very continental and very bland. We spent most days eating at Linda’s bar and restaurant a little down the beach. The staff there were great, prices were fantastic and the food was lovely.
You have no chance of getting a sun bed unless you wake up at 5am to put out a towel or if you’re lucky you might find an empty one at 4pm. Even though there are signs saying do not reserve sun beds, nobody pays attention and does it anyway. There is no lifeguards looking at the swimming pools except the pool where the bottom of the water slides are. The hotel shops are very pricey and they tend to rip you off. Go outside the hotel if you can.
The All Inclusive “plus” part, is what confused us. There was nothing “plus” about any of it, basic horrible food, watered down drinks, cocktails only available at the lobby bar, ice cream included but I wouldn’t call that a plus. Smoothies and things you have to pay extra for.
Spa is lovely but very pricey, me, my partner and young daughter all had a massage and it was very good but expensive. Never got to try any of the restaurants as every time we tried to book the reception staff told us “impossible” and put the phone down. Beach wasn’t great, sand full of cigarette nubs and god knows what else.
When we arrived (7am) we was told we could check in at 11.30 and be given our room then, yet when we went back we was told no 2pm was when we was allowed to check in. Leaving me heavily pregnant, my young daughter and partner stuck waiting in reception for hours with no air conditioning until we could check in. Staff were just so unhelpful. Our room was then the other side of the complex and we was driven round with our bags by a chauffeur. He tried to not leave our room without a tip, very rude. Midweek we tried to request late check out, we was told impossible again. Last day we called reception and asked if a car could help us with our bags again and pushchair, was told impossible again so we had to push three suitcases, hand luggage and a pushchair through the complex (all uphill) back to reception. Yet we seen foreign families being driven with their bags. If you’re English then you are not in for an enjoyable time. Do not recommend.

The location is nice, close to the beach and with a nice garden, the staff is friendly but I think thats all. The most dissappointing were the restaurants, same foods all week with not too many options. Most of the meals were tasteless, the drinks even the beer was served in small paper cups. We had a reservation for a sea view main bulilding room, but we got a beach house room at the bottom of the resort. Between our room and the neighbour's room was a common tiny door, we could even hear each others conversations. We asked for another room, but every day we got the answer to try another day because they dont have any other available room. The Shisha bar is a scam, they ask 10 Euro for a cocktail in a broken glass, with same poor quality alcohol drinks which are served also in the free bars. At 8AM already all the sunbeds around the pool are reserved, even if they are not used, or just for 1-2 hours all day. So if you wake up at 7 its hard to get a sunbed. I dont know how its allowed in a 5 star hotel this kind of method. The animation show is poor. At the pool snack bar we stand 2 times for aprox. 10-15 minutes to find out the food is "finished". So in 1 week we had no possibility even to taste the snack. The room was cleaned daily but the bathroom stinks sometimes because of the bad drainage. In general I had a feeling of a 3 star hotel.

We returned yesterday from this hotel. Firstly, the hotel and grounds are beautiful. Staff and animation team very friendly. I asked way before we arrived if the hotel was wheelchair friendly and was told it was. Believe me, its not! We were located in a nice disable friendly room between the pool and beach. What we didn't know was that there were 2 huge hills we had to navigate. If it were just the two of us we would have been really stuck. Luckily we were with 4 adult children but believe me, it was still extremely difficult going up and down to the hotel at mealtimes. We missed breakfast on 8 out of our 10 day holiday because of this. Lunch was in the beach bar and because of COVID was served to us. The queues were unavoidable because of this but still an extra few staff serving would have minimised the queues. It wasn't quite organised for example if you wanted a burger on abun it was necessary to queue twice, once for the burger and again forthe bun and salad. The food was the same every day so we had to eat our evening meals out every evening. You could always get something to eat but with the trek yo the restaurant, the queueing, hubby being in a wheelchair and the heat it was much more comfortable to eat in one of the restaurants close by which were very welcoming and very reasonably priced. I realise that this year is difficult for everybody but all in all we enjoyed our time at The Horus but will not be returning. A beautiful hotel though.

October 2023. Two adults vacationed. Of the minuses: the hotel is a weak 3 stars, stuffy everywhere, especially in the dining room, the staff is unfriendly, like in a camp. On the beach there are mostly plastic sun loungers without mattresses, it is impossible to lie down (we walked along the coast, such sun loungers are only in this hotel). We walked to the beach along a strictly established “goat” path at the beginning of which security guards the passage, all other passages are closed, and there is barbed wire on the fence. At the same time, the beach bungalows are separated from the coastal promenade by low bushes, so anyone can easily get through. Who is being protected? From what? Apparently, I’m still trying to prevent her from disappearing if strangers get in. We rested in a beach bungalow, the rooms are very old, there has been no renovation for a very long time, it smells like sewage, even from the air conditioner (the room was changed 3 times), there is little furniture in the room, the cups are cardboard and get wet from the water. There is no kettle, iron, snacks, coffee bags, there are 4 small bottles of water in the refrigerator every day for two people. Wi-fi is paid for 7 days 15 euros, then every day 1 euro, Internet is not per room, but for each device separately, i.e. for 7 days for two iPhones 30 euros. Instead of a blanket, a waffle towel, upon request, the reception gave two more waffle ones instead of one normal one; miraculously, in the third room there was an old camel blanket without a duvet cover. I note that the entire bay is built up with hotels and in the evening there is smoke in the air from the preparation of dinner in all the hotels and cafes; you cannot hear the smell of the sea or the aroma of pine, only smoke. On the plus side: towels and linen were changed every day, the dining room was set and cleaned promptly, there was enough food (the diet was meager), the beach is sandy, the sea is shallow (for whom is this important), the sea sounds soothingly through the window of the beach bungalows, developed infrastructure around the hotel ( pharmacy, shops, restaurants, etc.), nearby are the ruins of an ancient city. There are four swimming pools with modern sun loungers, unlike the beach.

We came back yesterday and I'm sorry that we didn't stay for at least 10 nights. It was wonderful, a clean hotel, excellent and diverse food, so that it was impossible not to find something you liked. I didn't get to taste everything. The beach is excellent, with sand and a smooth entrance to the sea. If you want to spend the whole day at the sea, there is no need to go to the restaurant, because there is also food at the beach bar. Until 10 o'clock you can find a free sunbed on the beach.
The staff is very kind, it's enough to talk to them nicely and smile; the negative reviews are probably from some who got what they offered.
In the resort you can go on the zip line above a wonderful landscape and you can film your descent for a very good price. There is also a route that my child was delighted with.
The aquapark is excellent.
Excellent animation, fun shows. Children can be left from 14.30-16.45 at the Kids Club, where a young lady who my son "fell in love with" is very well taken care of.
I had a beach room.
I will definitely come back.

First things first! Be prepared to be expected to tip everywhere you go! Are transfer was 1 hour and half late after we had landed! Then once he finally arrived we made our way finally to the hotel. Then the driver had the cheek to stop at his friends cafe, for us to get off an spend money in his friends cafe, after us waiting 1 hour an half for him ! Then When we arrived at hotel we thanked him got are bags an he said to my partner arnt u going to tip the driver lol!

when we got out of r transfer the staff member out the hotel run down to get r cases, we said ahh no Thankyou we r ok with r bags. At reception he stud right behind us untill we checked in an just took r bags upto r room! All to get a tip!

The food I have no words. I have stayed in 3 stars and had better food. I paid £1500 for a week an didn’t eat breakfast once! You can’t even get a baked bean or a simple piece of bread to make toast on the breakfast. I even spotted sprouts on the breakfast! Lol! Never seen anything like it. The restaurant in the evening there is a grilled sectioned outside we’re you can get grilled chicken etc what was better for us! We ended up mainly eating out the snack bar we’re you could get burgers / chicken nuggets, but by day 5 I couldn’t eat another burger! So we ended up eating out 3 nights out of a 7 week stay, It’s all catered for Russian people. 5 family’s if your lucky are English, This didn’t bother me as much however my partner Likes to chat to other holiday makers an to say the other holiday makers had very miserable faces! and didn’t speak English! Around the pool and late night party at the beach club it’s all Russian music, maybe 2 or 3 English songs may be played out the whole day lol! We new the songs by the end of the holiday!

The lady in guest relations room who takes bookings for al a carte was RUDE. We stood in a que to see her, Russian people infront of us, she had a lovely smiling face until it was are turn, very very miserable and rude. We gathered it was because we were English.

Apart from all the negatives The hotel an surroundings is absolutely fabulous, spotlessly clean, pools are amazing we didn’t have a problem getting a sun bed, they also had a foam party while we were here! It was great for all the kids, but again all Russian music! slides 10/10, Entertainment is the best I have ever been too, The beach is nice but it’s not private as advertised. The rooms were spacious, we stayed in a sea view room and I would recommend the room was lovely. only 1 English Channel on the tv like, air con worked great and the beds we’re comfortable. but that’s were it stops.

I tried to contact r holiday provided on the 2nd day to be moved hotel but I couldn’t get in touch with them, so in the end we just made the most an tried not to dwell on the negatives an ruin are holiday and just laugh about the situation! but if you are English I really would suggest to try change hotel Before you arrive here.

We went for a week stay at Horus and like many reviews this is not a 5 star hotel.
We arrived late and when we went to reception they gave us 2 rooms in two different locations although we booked two rooms next to each other.
Reception was adamant nothing they can do but after a harsh word we got two rooms near each other.
Reception staff are very poor and rude.
The hotel rooms are dated and have broken fixtures. Bath was cracked and looked awful.
If your English then you are bottom of pile, they cater for the Germans/Russians/Turks.
Food is repetitive so you would end up going out to eat.
No staff smile or say Morning, very miserable.
Hard to get a sunbed unless you get up very early and even if you put your towels down they get removed so you need to leave personal belongings.
The only one good thing about this hotel is the kids pool my little one enjoyed playing and going on slides.
