Detailed Reviews
Fabulous experience. The location is easy walking into Kalkan (less than half a mile) where there are cafes, shops, restuarants and bars. It is a lovely walk to the harbour front.
The hotel rooms are clean and airy with en suites and a balcony. Breakfast, is on the terrace downstairs and is continental type with a choice of eggs any way you want them.
Food is available from the pool bar any time and is a good mix of light meals and snacks all reasonably priced; tables under the olive trees provide and excellent shady area. The pool itself is kept scrupulously clean and has a a number of sun loungers around it.
There is a restuarant on the roof terrace.
The hotel is owned and managed by Kate and her husband Ahmet, both of whom are extremely approachable and will help in anyway they can.

Just had the best week staying at this wonderful hotel , incredibly friendly with great owners and staff . A very kind couple have the hotel and are always on hand to make sure your looked after and having the best time . It’s obviously a hotel that people regularly return to year after year . The clientele were extremely friendly , everyone greeting each other and nice to chat with . If you were there on your own you would easily feel relaxed and included. We went as two couples and it was our friends first time in Kalkan and they absolutely loved the hotel . We have all rebooked for next year . The ladies that clean keep the place immaculate, every day they would clean our rooms and change our bedding to a high standard , one day they left a beautiful towel and petal arrangement for us so my husband left his elephant towel arrangement with a tip the next morning. We had a lovely view of the sea from our room and found the room nice and cool .
The wines they serve were very good and everything reasonably priced . We enjoyed having a drink in there bar area outside on an evening very cosy and romantic . We had no noise issues at all waking up about 9.30 and going down to breakfast which was incredibly healthy and delicious. We were all sad to leave but looking forward to our return stay .

Clean, comfortable, well located, nice pool area, good breakfast. Our double room was a touch small but well furnished, would like a blackout curtain. Small but good bathroom.
Roof top bar is nice.
Staff all friendly.
Strangley very quiet when we were there, although the town was very busy.
Good value for money.
Strangley the food and drink is priced in sterling, guessing as protection against the collapsing Lira, this did make it expensive compared to bars in town.
Taxi from harbour at midnight was only £2 ish.

Very pleasant hotel, the room are small but for the price you pay they are fine. The bathroom shower is small and water goes outside shower curtain.
The roof top terrace has great views so worth a visit.
The pool area is small but fine issue is the regulars put there towl down early so never a bed free. Breakfast was fine service slow but not used to doing table serice but all staff are lovely, would go back as location is great as so close to the town, beach and port.
Again good value for money

This is a great value, family run, hotel situated ten minutes' walk from central Kalkan. Rooms are compact, decorated in a clean and fresh style and are always well maintained. The pool is an adequate size for the hotel and there is a 'beer garden' drinks area opposite where guests can watch major sports events on TV. The breakfast offering provides a range of fresh fruit, cereal, cheese, yogurt and different choices of eggs.
Kate and Ahmet are charming hosts and Kate was particularly helpful in suggesting a local osteopath when I was suffering from back problems

If I had the ability to give Hotel Dionysia a higher rating I would because our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel apart of the family by all the staff. Ahmed, Kate and all the staff were superb, the hotel was perfectly located, it was exceptionally clean and tidy and all the facilities were top notch. We were on the lower floor a couple of doors down from the breakfast room which was a delight waking up to the spell of fresh coffee every morning. Breakfast was fresh every morning and Kate was on call to cook eggs. The pool and pool bar were first class and there was no rush to get sun beds as there were plenty. In fact there was a couple of days where we were the only people around the pool, fantastic. The pool bar was staffed all day and a special mention goes out to Kadir, who was friendly, chatty and couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel cafe opposite the main building was spot on and we ate there a couple of times but mainly used it for a night cap. Again, Kadir was the star here in the evening and looked after us.
The hotel is approx 5 minutes direct walk to the harbour down a very steep hill or a 15 minutes walk through the busy part of Kalkan past all the bars and restaurants but the hill is less severe.
An awesome 10 days stay at Hotel Dionysia. We will definitely be returning and I highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thank you Team Hotel Dionysia.

This was our 4th time to Kalkan but first time staying at Hotel Dionysia.
I have nothing but good things to say about this hidden little gem and the fact everyone we spoke to who were staying here were saying they return every year to the hotel speaks volumes! People had already booked for 2025!
The street the hotel is on is lovely, quiet but only a 5/10 min walk to the main town of Kalkan.
Kate and Ahmet, the owners, are most welcoming and always around if you have any questions.
All the staff were lovely and very helpful.
The room was small but had everything we needed. Shower was brilliant!
I have never stayed anyway as clean as this hotel - it was spotless! Shoutout to the lovely cleaners.
Breakfast was lovely - Kate was on hand to make eggs to order. There was a selection of fruit, cake, breads and cereal. Everything you need to start the day really.
Pool area was brilliant, lots of comfy sun beds and a pool bar. Again, the area was spotless!
The bar across from the entrance of the hotel was where we ended most of our nights, really good vibe (it is part of the hotel).
We will definitely be back and can’t thank all the staff enough for being part of our holiday and making it such a good one.

Ahmet and Kate were very helpful and friendly.
We loved the street where the hotel was located - convenient for town but also quiet which is essential on our holidays.
We had a little balcony which made our experience much better.
Swimming pool and surrounding area very clean and well looked after- also largely quiet with a little bar at the end.
We enjoyed our stay and would return.
If the following could be helpful please take it in the way it is intentioned……
Only things were -breakfast would have been improved with better quality coffee/ more options with regards milk alternatives and more healthy alternatives eg more variety of fruit which is very reasonably priced at local greengrocers, and whole meal bread- again cheap at local bakery ( only white available). No oats.
Plastic bowls and small cutlery seemed a little strange / low end like free ones from the old days!
Also bedding strange- no sheets to have over you and wondered if the ‘blanket’ is changed and washed between guests?

We stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights prior to moving into our apartment at Kalkan Suites. The welcome from Ahmed was warm and friendly, our room was clean and tidy, the pool and surroundings were lovely and the whole experience was agreeable. If we had been staying for longer we would have booked a larger room but in terms of value for money it was great.

What a lovely hotel, perfect position to stroll into town.Run by Ahmet and Kate who are warm and engaging. Impressed by the Covid measures they have taken which has upped their workload but are always happy, cheerful and nothing is too much trouble.Rooms are small in the hotel but are super clean with great a/c. You can hire an apartment or a lovely villa. Pool area is great, relaxing and chilled with a nice pool bar for lunchtime refreshments (Efes). Rooftop terrace has great views of Kalkan so definitely worth a visit or two. The staff, Urhan, Suleyman and others are friendly, helpful and good fun. Already booked for May 2021 and cannot wait to get back to the Dionysia.🇹🇷❤️🧿
