Boasting the classification of "Special Class Hotel", this grand old manor is an oasis of relaxation and quiescence, ensconced in the heart of the historical Mediterranean metropolis of Antalya. The Tuvana Hotel was once the centre of prestigious imperial visits during the early 18th century. Now it has been transformed into a distinguished boutique hotel, surrounded by lush and verdant gardens laden with orange, plum, tangerine and pomegranate trees, creating a fragrantly nonpareil atmosphere.

The only problem I had during my stay was navigating traffic in my rented car in the old city. Only one entrance, Google Maps doesn't get you there, so listen carefully when they give you directions. Once you figure it out, it isn't a problem.

This is a wonderful little hotel, with funky rooms and a very attentive staff. I was there during Covid and when they shut down restaurants. The hotel opened up its restaurant and served a chef's choice meal for lunch and dinner every night and it was wonderful, and very inexpensive at 10 Euros for 5 courses. The hotel is laid out in several different buildings from the Ottoman era. I imagine each is unique, I stayed in a room on the top floor with a balcony and slanted roofs, it was very roomy and was well appointed for an older building. The staff was very attentive. They have parking behind the hotel and it is very easy to get to all of the old city since you are in the middle of it. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights in late October 2020. It's in a great location in old Antalya with parking and easy to wander around the charming port area.

The decor of the hotel is good and visually pleasing and has an old worlde boutique feel to it with a good selection of restaurants, but there are lots of other restaurants nearby and the front desk give you some good recommendations as well. The front desk staff were always very helpful with any questions we had.

The room was rather small, but adequate - we had booked an economy room so you do get what you pay for and we didn't spend a great deal of time there. The pool looked pleasant, but we didn't get a chance to use it.

The only downside was the breakfast where other reviewers have also highlighted. The buffet was a bit underwhelming and tired - the hotel management should take a look at it and give it a revamp. Unlike the other reviewers, we didn't get the cooked egg or omelette offer as the staff were not particularly attentive. The tablecloths looked as if they hadn't been changed from the fine dining restaurant from the evening before, so not very welcoming.

Ignoring the breakfast situation (we should have just eaten elsewhere), I would recommend the hotel as it is charming and well located. If there was a revamp of the breakfast offering, the hotel would get much better reviews.

We have visited the hotel in summer 2019. We wanted to have a romantic and quite city center hotel, and Tuvana has been the best choice for us. The rooms are small, but very cozy and romantic, all in ottoman design. The buildings in the old town, are all renovated historical buildings, so they lack balconies, but not such a big problem, as they have a lot of open areas where you can sit and enjoy your time. The reception speaks English, and the personnelle is super nice and kind. They have also 3 A’La Carte Restaurants, we visited all of them, and we recommend you all visit them as well. Seraser Fine Dining Restaurant, Il Vicino Pizzeria and Pio Gastro Bar and Bistro, all with their own unique atmosphere, and definitely the best food by far that you can find in Antalya. Totally recommended!!!

Firstly I agree with most of the previous comments, beautiful hotel wonderfully located. Breakfast on the other hand is the worst we have had in Turkey. Tiny little buffet table crammed in a dark dingy corner, virtually no selection. One waiter to take all orders, but it is obviously too much for him... ordered 3 coffees and got 3 teas. Ordered 3 omelettes with cheese and tomato but tomatoes forgotten. Also expect a good 20-30 minutes before the omelette eventually arrives. What a sad contrast to the pricy dinner we had the evening dinner we had the day we arrived, with half a dozen waiters and a decent menu- I can only conclude that breakfast is included and not a money maker ?
Honestly, skip breakfast here and go elsewhere. It was the same disappointing experience 2 days in a row so obviously standard procedure.

When we first arrived everything seemed good even if the taxi driver did not know where to take us. We drove around for approximately 2 hours until the driver said that he will just leave us in the street because he cannot drive thus to narrow streets. thank good we demanded him to look for an other taxi, at last when arrived at the hotel, it was difficult to see the desk.

We had planned a week of holiday to celebrate finishing radiation therapy. Everything had went okay until my husband showered one morning and slipped, he fell down to the floor, he tried to support his fall but crashed into the left wardrobe door leaving a small crack in the plywood door.

My husband went to the check in desk and told what happened. the man at the desk told my husband not to worries, since these doors only look expensive but are cheap fake. this man, working for the hotel (he also checked us in to the hotel upon arrival) said to my husband that the cost is going to be approximately 190 Turkish Lira (6,59 €).

My husband wanted to pay immediately, but the man at the desk said to pay at check out. We accepted this without thinking that they would hustle us.

Next day, the manager of the hotel comes to us to tell us that we need to sort this broken door matter. my husband and I went to talk with the manager and they would fix the doors and call a repairman.

Later the manager came to us again and said that we need to pay for the broken door now and that it cannot wait (we were leaving in 2 days). We went to the reception desk and all of the sudden the price had changed from 190 Turkish lira to 190 Euro!!!!! This means that in turkish lira we paid 5474,24.

This was a RIPOFF!!

they fixed both doors on that wardrobe and replaced the plywood doors with mirror glass doors.

I asked the manager what the h*ll but as a woman I was not in the position to negotiate with him. I was just angry on how manager says that the doors were expensive and old while his employee says that they are not and i can see that it is plywood. Secondly the manager says that they paid the repairman in cash and that it was expensive to get him to the hotel.

in reallity: This repair man had been sleeping near the hotel the whole week and I do not believe that they paid him over 5000 liras. They had also "fixed2 the small closet for the minibar (see pictures how fixed), this indicates more to my truth, thay fix it cheap and take everything they can get..

I would like to recommend this hotel because of the location and price, but I cannot. The rooms were dirty (no vacuuming, ever? and a lot of dust everywhere) and I cannot get over this massive rip off. I will never visit this hotel again.

It is impossible to come to the hotel by car. If you have heavy bags, you will have to walk about 50 m to the entrance.
We arrived at 11 pm. The receptionist was very unwelcoming. I have booked for 1 adult and 3 children two rooms, but for some reason the system of booking.com did not show the 3rd child. The receptions kept on and on that I had to pay extra for the 3rd child. When I showed him that the price for a double room is the same despite if there is 1 adult or 1 adult with the child. He did not want to listen and kept insisting that I had to pay extra. My kids were seating there tired and hungry. I was trying to explain that we could sort it out next morning, but he just would not give up. At the end he gave us the keys and we went to our rooms. There is no lifts, but thankfully we got some help with the bags to the 3rd floor.
The rooms were extremely old, very dirty, the window did not shut properly, the walls are all cracked and there are holes through. The bathroom was not washed from previous gusts dirty feet.
But the most awful thing: there were huge cockroaches crawling everywhere. On the floor, curtains, bathroom!!
We just ran out of there! The receptionist said that he was very surprised and that he never saw such a thing before!
He offered us another room in the main building. The room was better and more modern. All 4 of us had to sleep in one room.
The pillows and mattresses were really uncomfortable. So basically we just set the whole night next to each other scared to move.
The next day when I asked the manager for the refund for one room and the possibility to cancel the second night I got a flat refusal. She said that it was our decision to move to another room. Also that I should have paid for the third child but out of curtesy she would not charge.
Also the manager said: “I am going to give you a pleasant surprise”... The surprise was a plate of 2 weeks old fruits.
So, if you decide to stay in this hotel, make sure that you agree in advance that you get a room in the main building be ready to sleep with the code aches crawling on top of you and also drag your bags to the hotel from the road.
On a positive note, the breakfast is in a very cute near by restaurant and the service is very good there

The best part about the hotel is its location and its staff. It’s located very close to the places where you’d prefer to walk and the staff is very helpful.

The rooms are a disappointment. Some rooms open directly into the restaurant and you will land up on somebody’s table when you will open your rooms door to exit the room. To add to it the rooms are very small. The hotel strangely doesn’t even offer a single bottle of water neither is there an electric kettle in the room. I won’t come back again.

Myself & partner stayed for 9 nights in September, where do i start.
Pros - very central and beautiful area to stay in (Kaleici) the breakfast was abundant and there was variety from fresh fruits to breads, yoghurts and eggs. The staff were all very friendly and the setting of a 300 year old courtyard was ideal. The shower was lovely and had adequate pressure. The interior gave Dolmbache Palace vibes. The pool was lovely after a hot day of site seeing.
Cons- Our room was over the restaurant, we were woken every morning by staff dragging chairs/ tables across the dining floor and what sounded like them counting the cutlery. There is no sound proofing and we could hear the music from the strip and the surrounding areas. There was a communal balcony that looked directly into the room so we had to keep what curtains we were able to close, closed. If anyone was using this we could hear all talk and if the light was left on we had to turn it off in order to get some sleep.

All in all it seems it seems there was more attention given to the restaurant rather then the hotel. This isn't somewhere we would choose to stay again.

I’ll start off with the good points, hotel and the location. That’s it.
Now the bad points
The breakfast

We have eaten in hotels in most of the world but never had a breakfast so poor. For the price of the hotel most was on inedible. We had melon that had been set out the previous day and was just a ball of mess. The boiled eggs were either under or over cooked. The word “inedible” covers the breakfast best.
The bar prices.
My partner ordered two drinks, and when we paid the bill at the end, the cost was €36. No it wasn’t top end champagne but spirit and mixer!
A beautiful old buildings spoiled by greed.
If you can get a nice room at a good price then eat out and you may be a happy bunny.

We had a lovely room (the Pasha room), but quite noisy from the street below – the tourist season seemed to be in full swing here, with many places competing with music.
The manager was lovely and very keen to help. We had a couple of things that were not working in the bathroom and she had them sorted out quickly. We found a complimentary bottle of wine in our room afterwards.
Food from their (many) restaurants was excellent (we particularly enjoyed the Mexican restaurant. The pool was lovely and it was a nice way to end the holiday.

Hello, Greetings! In Tuvana and all antalya, the staffs related with any entity are using masks. They have to be worn in the hotel. When you are walking in the town, it is up to you. In the restaurant, staff should use, and it is up to guests to use. Regards,

Good Afternoon Dear Tiffany, We are very happy to be hearing from you, and for you to be interested in Tuvana Hotel. The capacity of the hotel is 48 rooms, it's a small boutique hotel, in the middle of the old town. During full occupancy of the hotel, the number of the guests can vary, but the average is 90 to 95 guests, in very high occupancy. Tuvana Hotel, is absolutely a different Turkey than what you are used to, if you were usually coming to Antalya to have an All Inclusive vacation. Tuvana is located in the very center of Antalya city, in the old town of Kaleici. Even though it's the city enter, the old town is a very remote and calm place, where you can feel like you are having a vacation in the old towns and streets of Italy, due to it's very old and rich history, charming ambiance and beautiful architecture. Tuvana is an alive ottoman house, that was transmitted from generation to generation in Tankut family. Every guest here, is welcomed like a family guest, and as we all know, turkish families, are very well known for their hospitality. Not only that we welcome you to our hotel, we welcome you, to Tankut family house. We have all kind of food concepts in the hotel. BB, FB, HB and even A'La Carte Inclusive. Breakfast is open buffet, in a boutique style. In FB, the dinner is fixed menu, which means that our chef, chooses by himself what he is serving for guests every evening, but the menu is fixed and includes: a starter, a salad, a main course, and a dessert. The drinks are not included. In FB, breakfast and dinner occur in the same way, and lunch is A La Carte, which means you order by the menu in our Kaftan Restaurant, located in Tuvana's remote garden by the pool. From the menu, for lunch, you can order one starter, one salad, one main course, and one dessert, same way the drinks are not included. La Carte Inclusive, is not the same you have seen in other hotels, because we focus on gastronomy and not on beverages primarily. In Tuvana Hotel we have 3 A La Carte Restaurants, which are also opened for outdoor guests. Our main restaurant is "Seraser Fine Dining Restaurant" which since 2018 is one of the 30 best restaurants of Turkey. Here we serve international cuisine and turkish cuisine with a modern twist. It's a very romantic restaurant, where almost every evening we have proposals happening, and we organize here even weddings. Our second A La Carte Restaurant is "Il Vicino Pizzeria" is out Italian pizzeria, which serves real Italian pizza, homemade pasta and other delicious meals of the Italian cuisine. Our 3rd restaurant is Pio Gastro Bar and Bistro, which is also famous for it's first and only mixology bar in Antalya. Even though you can think how can you have good food in a bar, we can assure you, the food you will try in Pio, is going to leave an imprint in your soul, and you will always want to come back. Here we serve Latin and Mediterranean cuisine. If you are a guest of A La Carte inclusive, you have breakfast same as in all other boards, lunch takes place in Kaftan Restaurant by the pool, and for dinner you choose by yourself one of the 3 A La Carte Restaurants to have dinner. During dinner you can as well order one starter, one salad, one main course and one dessert. In this board type, home white, red and rose wine are included, as well as beer, Gordon's Gin, Red Lable, Smirnoff Vodka, and other imported alcoholic beverages, during all meals and the whole day. With all these board types, you can also choose bed and breakfast, and then just use the restaurants at any time you want, for extra charge, this way it's also possible, as you wish. If you would like the prices for our restaurants and for the beverages served there, you can check them on our official websites by just Googling the names of the restaurants, you can reach the websites, as TripAdvisor doesn't allow to share html links, or contact us directly by e-mail. Kaleici is the perfect location for you, as it is in the very middle of the city center, from here you can get to any part of the city by public transportation and even to some places out of the city. You can check: Tunek Tepe Teleferik, Duden Waterfalls the Upper one and the Down one as well, Sandland, Konyaalti beach. Moreover, Kaleici's history dates back to over 2000 years, many of the most important historical monuments are right at you disposal in 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel itself. You will not be able to find a better location of a hotel, in order to be so comfortable regarding accesibilty. Moreover, renting a car is more than affordable, you could rent a car for few days and travel to places that are 2-3 hours away from the city of Antalya, or even buy tours here at the hotel. Any kind of tours and travel packages you could possibly imagine. We can honestly and firmly tell you that Tuvana Hotel will be the perfect place for everything you wish for: a beautiful comfy little hotel, not a huge amount of people but would like the option to go to busy areas, bars, restaurants, beach, shopping if we want it. Every single guest that comes to Tuvana comes here to rest their minds and soul, at the same time being close to all the most beautiful attractions of Antalya and best shopping malls. The old town has also a part where there are full streets with bars, of any kind, with live music, turkish or international, with DJ Performances like Pio as well. We are looking forward seeing you as a guest of our hotel, and we are already extremely excited about it. We promise that once you come to Tuvana you will want to return here again and again. Please be our guest and let us make your vacation unforgettable. We are at your disposal, at any time, if any further assistance is needed, please let us know. Regards, Özgür Tankut

Food quality is very good, all freshly cooked seasonal produce, but portions quite small. As there is no choice we occasionally could have eaten a bit more if there was a dish we didn't like - after all we were on holiday 😳.
