Wasn't perfect because of some bad experiences. Certain concierge/reception staff where rude at times and not very helpful and sometimes made comments when they weren't necessary. Sometimes they were quite dull and disassociated when speaking to them, but they would smile at others and not us, not something you would expect at this price.
The only critique for the room was that the Lighting was quite dim and made it difficult to see yourself in mirrors or when looking for stuff whilst so getting ready to go out and packing wasn't practical.
Music often played until 1am and it was repetitive club music, it would also start early morning so it was very frustrating. The rooms were soundproofed to a certain extent but it was still quite prevalent and got annoying after a few days.
The beach/sea facilities were closed when we were there given it was March
Food and drink was expensive so we made the ten minute walk into the old town to eat and drink. there’s a taxi rank round the corner so never more than 2 mins wait for a taxi if/when you need one.
We got a value for money upgrade to a sea view room which made this stay superb. Not sure the garden view rooms would give you the same experience
We had a garden view room, retrospectively we should have booked a sea view room and will certainly do so on our next visit. This is just down to preference there is nothing at all wrong with the garden view room, however the views of Antalya from a sea view room would have been stunning.
All staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.
The breakfast was a feast of fresh and plentiful food served at your table, a bonus in my opinion.
We enjoyed long leisurely breakfasts whilst enjoying the stunning view of beautiful Antalya.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the hotel was very quiet.
Ten minutes walk through a local park into Antalya where there’s lots of great places to eat. We did enjoy a meal in the hotel restaurant, again the food was delicious and plentiful. We only used the sunbathing deck once due to the March weather and the bar wasn’t in use, but this will be fabulous when back ip and running in full season.
I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and we are already planning our return visit.
We then went downstairs and were never told chairs are reserved and a waitress came and kicked us out of our beach chairs. She didn’t speak English and was kind of rude about it. Later when someone who spoke English communicated we resolved the issue but still had to move chairs.
Then we had issues getting drinks down to the deck where we were and had to constantly walk up the stairs to get water or anything. Downside, you pay for water (20tl per bottle) which is normal but you could walk to the front desk and get the same bottle for free. Next issue was at dinner where they said we didn’t have the reservation (when we did make it) but then later realized our room number was on there. Frustrating but fine. Next issue was during dinner where I grabbed the water bottle from the waiter who set it down to find that this full bottle was already opened. I didn’t unscrew and feel the cap break meaning I was paying 20tl for a water bottle that was opened already and possibly refilled with tap. The waiter quickly grabbed the bottle from me and poured themself.
Last issue was the girl who checked me out the next morning was rude and provided me with a bill with extra charges that I had no receipt for. It was around an extra 250tl. She didn’t understand English and I had a car waiting so I just paid for it and will dispute it was American Express later. It was just a nightmare from breakfast to check out. The only good part was the nice man at the front desk who checked us in and the hotel views and water. Honestly won’t ever come back here.
The receptionists (the new lady and the young guy) were fabulous. The first one was very chatty and smiley and the guy was super professional and always managed to get everything sorted (bookings, taxis and even helping us sending the post cards to our family, as we were leaving on Sunday and post office was closed. The cards reached the destination, so thank you!). He also spoke perfect English.
The room was spacious, with gorgeous view, nice amenities and very comfy bed. We were very happy with it. The cleaning lady was very attentive to the details, thank you! We wanted to upgrade to the jacuzzi one for the last night of our stay but the jacuzzi were under maintenance and we were told, the rooms are out of use. We could see the work being done, so legit excuse.
The night before leaving, we also ate downstairs in the restaurant. The food we had was lovely, we both had pasta. Following waiters recommendation, we ordered local red wine and it was one of the best one I’ve ever had. He also was very attentive, professional and smiley.
Breakfast at all days was nice, served very quickly and fresh. The waitress lady was ok, sarcastic at the times but very attentive.
What we approached the most, was the fact that there were no children in the hotel, the place even if busy, was very calm and relaxing. People were mainly couples and you could hear all languages possible.
We had a really lovely stay, thank you for all of your help. To whoever is considering the stay, that jacuzzi looked really cool, even if you want to upgrade yourself just for one night. The sea view balcony was massive and we had drinks on it every night, enjoying the sunset.
1. Room (402) decor, size, amenities and VIEW from terrace
2. Hotel Location
3. Boutique hotel: intimate with privacy. Not crowded
4. Beach: rocky, directly into the deep
Not so great:
1. Service: poor, lack of interest from staff, don't seem to really care. They either are not trained or in desperate need for a refresher.
2. Communication: almost all staff does not speak nor understand English.
3. Breakfast: starts at 8 which is too late and is nothing to write home about
4. Internet Connection: non existent in the room
5. Cleanliness: in room could be better. Our bathroom was not properly cleaned at times.
6. Not every member of staff is wearing a mask.
7. Many basic things are not available: croissant at breakfast, fresh juices by the beach...
Bottom line: come but, other than the decor and location, do not expect much.
