It was just beautiful, relaxing and convenient. We needed to find a place to stay for a wedding in the mountains and it was the best surprise to our weekend. The biggest surprise was the breakfast, the décor, and the constellation on the ceiling, the stars and that beautiful midnight blue sky, such detail. It was truly amazing.

We stayed at this beautiful B & B when our son was at a summer camp at Alfred University.
What a delightful experience! We stayed in the Country Elegance suite that provided a comfortable king size bed, feathered pillows, stars on the ceiling, two person whirlpool, and robes. The hosts prepared a scrumptuous home made breakfast of spinach frittata, pecan crusted french toast and fresh fruit! They also went the extra mile by allowing guests to use their video library, and small refrigerator stocked with water and soda. It is a perfect place for a couple to stay for a romantic weekend getaway! We would highly recommend it! We felt pampered and refreshed!

I found this comfortable bed and breakfast when looking for a place near my hometown while planning a trip to visit my siblings. I had always wanted to try a bed and breakfast, my husband wasn't so sure. By the end of our stay, he admitted he enjoyed it and would stay there again! The room was very comfortable and picturesque (I took pictures to show my family and friends). The bed was so comfortable I fell asleep before I had time to admire the stars. We enjoyed meeting judy and Alan and learning about them, their family, and the area. We also had some wonderful breakfast companions which we really enjoyed. The best part of a Bed and Breakfast is meeting new people. It is a great option if staying in the Alfred area.

As my son is a student at Alfred University, I often need a place to stay in this tiny town. Last week I discovered this wonderful B&B and I am thrilled to be here. The room is quaint, immaculate, decorated to perfection, with a super comfortable bed, sheets that feel like silk and every amenity that you can think of. From a wonderful reception from Judy the owner, to the tiny fountain for relaxation, this country place has it all. Complimentary wireless internet, TV, free use of the phone in the room for long distance calls, a shower with massage jets to die for. I love this place and I will stay here from now on whenever I have the need the visit Alfred. The bathroom amenities include razors, a toothbrush, toothpaste in addition to everything else that you would find at a chain hotel. When I arrive, Judy asked me what I would like for breakfast, my preferencences down to what kind of coffee I like. I love this place

Absolutely lovely; the impeccable accommodations, the hosts, the food! Falling asleep under the "moon and the stars" was a beautiful added feature and certainly a perfect setting to drift off to a restful sleep. Looking forward to returning again and again!

I stayed at Country Manor Bed & Breakfast during my alumni reunion at Alfred University. It was simply elegant and beautiful and just 5 minutes from campus. We had a lovely king size room with a jacuzzi tub and private bathroom. You could light up the constellations on the ceiling at night, such a nice touch. Judy and Alan did everything to make our stay memorable. And Alan's breakfasts were wonderful, from spinach fritatta to blueberry pancakes to wonderful baked french toast with a brown sugar, maple syrup, pecan topping! I can't wait to come back.

You cannot tell by the exterior picture in Trip Advisor or on other sites, just how nice this place is. The Burdicks make the customer feel very welcome and they seem to think of things that you might expect at an attentive hotel, such as razors, toothbrushes, mouthwash and so forth in the bathroom. We went to Alfred Station in order to scout out the recumbent bikes at Bicycle Man, who recommended that we stay here. It was an excellent recommendation. Our hosts paid close attention to our dietary needs and provided guidance on where to eat. You might think that that is what is expected at any away-from-home accommodation, however, Alfred Station is in the sticks, and the only other B&B in the area is 17 miles away. Also, the limited hotel accommodations at Alfred University are generally not an option and the cruddy low-cost motel in Alfred (not the University hotel), looks like a series of storage units. So, the amount of attention that the customer receives at Country Cabin Manor is excellent, Our hosts were also excellent cooks and served up varied and nutritious breakfasts. We were booked for one night initially, and decided to stay two. We highly recommend this B&B, but do not wait to book, as it is well-known in the area as a superior accommodation.

We have been returning to this wonderful B&B since it opened. Our daughter went to both undergrad and grad school at Alfred, so we have been here many times. Each time we feel pampered by the delicious breakfasts, the super clean rooms and bathrooms, and by the thoughtful extra amenities that our hosts offer us. Do you know that you can see the projection of the night sky on the ceiling of one of the rooms? Judy and Alan have gone out of their way to accommodate us. We always feel that personal care they give us each time we visit. We go there as friends visiting friends, and we will return, although our daughter will no longer be at Alfred.

Thank you for your vote of confidence and positive comments! We so appreciate your many visits and the chance to get to know you and your family. Glad you enjoyed the stars! By the way, there are stars on the ceilings of three of our rooms. So there are several opportunities for our guests to "sleep under the stars!"
