we had an amazing time staying at the Delphin habib hotel , big shoutout to the animation team ( choco , hassan and Amir in particular) as they made us feel so welcoming and we’re unbelievably friendly . The receptionists and cleaners are also really friendly and helpful , zizou the trip organiser was also very nice to us and made it easy for us to book trips at a reasonably cheap price . The food is very authentic and mediterranean not very good for fussy eaters as they have no plain options like chips and nuggets however the restaurant on site ( the view ) is lovely food for a very good price. The only down side to this hotel is how long you have to wait for beach towels if you do not bring your own but all in all I would definitely recommend staying here if your visiting Tunisia, the hotel rooms are clean , the staff are all kind and welcoming and it is a beautiful country to visit.

Ok, so here goes, and we did a lot of research before choosing this destination. We arrived early hours of the morning, staff were friendly and gave a bottle of water on arrival. Went to our room ( quadruple) with a view of the beach, all seemed fine. The double bed mattress was sooo hard, struggled to stay asleep and get comfy. Whilst the rooms were cleaned, or at least the beds had been made and bin emptied, a couple of nights we had to ask for towels. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned, stuff put down the toilet, but hair on the floor from previous visitors, which were there for the duration of our stay.
Food is ok, and staff are really helpful when you ask for things, and will bring drinks to your table, there is something for everyone, even fussy eaters, pizza and chips always on offer. You need to get to the pool pretty early, before 8am to secure a bed, which is madness! They do have a snack bar from 10-5 daily, serving crepes and pizza for all inclusive, other items you need to pay for.
Good array of drinks, although all local. Don’t be put off by certain staff trying to sell you excursions or massages, they are just doing their job.
I will say the non all inclusive restaurants can be loud, playing music until gone 2am
Monastir wasn’t quite what we expected, a lot smaller and not as much going on at night. Don’t be put off by everyone trying to pull you in, it can be annoying, but just be firm and always haggle, if they want 125 Dina, 9 out of 10 times you can get it for 30 or 40.
We ventured out a few nights, which you need to do to find something different. Head towards the mariner and there are lots of restaurants, which are really reasonably priced. and certain nights little market stalls.
DO NOT go on the boat trip booked at the mariner, while the island you go to is beautiful, the trip is crazy!! When you eventually arrive at the islands, you have to board a smaller boat to take you to the island, which is usually 4 or 5 trips to get everyone to the beach and we literally had the locals ( women) fighting to get on it!! We spent more time travelling or waiting than on the island, and weren’t taken to see the turtles as promised 🙄
Sousse is also a train trip away, and at 1 Dina a person, absolute bargain and so easy to do. There are lots of shops there and a large market like place near the castle.
Will come back, sadly no, not to Monastir it wasn’t quite for us. It’s reasonably priced, just didn’t find enough to do. We may visit Tunisia again, just not here.
The staff work extremely hard, and on several occasions we were disgusted how other people would leave their tables after meals, food everywhere!! If you wouldn’t leave your home like it, don’t do it abroad!!
One last thing, we booked through Love Holidays, we had no rep which wasn’t much help, as we we were probably one of about 4/5 English families in the whole resort. If we had a problem we would have had no way of contacting them extremely poor service from them!!

We loved our time at this hotel. Yes the rooms need updating but the hotel staff could not do enough for us to make the best of everything they had.

As we have often found abroad, this is not a UK standard
4* hotel. It is in need of refurbishment but it is clear this is underway when possible. I will say this hotel was spotlessly clean.

I had a hammet full body massage at the start of the holiday and loved it. The only thing I will say is the steam room is in need of refurb as some tiles are missing from the seats but I still really enjoyed the experience. Good price to as it was approx £40 for nearly 2 hours of treatment.

The food was varied but after 8/9 days we did venture out for dinner as we needed a change, would say it was tasty and well presented. The waiters would get to know us and always bought us cold bottled water and our fave pink fizzy! The drinks are mostly local Tunisian versions but were fine. They certainly made a good gin and tonic at the all inclusive bar. There are other hotel guests who are not all Inclusive so not everything is included. The free bar is in receiption.

The entertainment and the staff are where this hotel really makes an impact. The team were just fabulous. Very friendly and engaging. There is lots to do round the pool from darts to aqua gym. You can do as much or as little as you liked JohnBoy and Tom really made our time special with Tom regularly taking time out to play board games or Uno with our girls.

We went on two excursions booked through the rep and Zizu who came around daily. If you say no he will leave you alone, he isn’t pushy and just does his job. We went on a full day pirate boat trip to Kuriat Island - not to be missed! It was £150 for 2 adults and 2 children with transfers to the marina an 8 hours on the trip. The island is just beautiful and included lunch. We went on another half day trip which was nice but not as good.

Private beach is private in the sense that only hotel guests can go on the sunbeds. Nice enough beach though.

If I had to say just one thing it is that the staff and all locals we met really did their best to make your stay the best it can be.

I would NOT recommend this hotel. I travelled with my husband and our 2 adult children. Upon arrival we were told to go and have something to eat whilst they found us a room, which had been booked for 6 months. We were then offered a room with 4 beds which was NOT appropriate for us with our 2 grown up children. We were then offered a room with an attached room for the kids which we accepted BUT we had to pay extra even though it was there fault! We tried to pay the extra by debit card and 3 cards were declined. The receptionist insisted it was because we hadn’t phoned our bank before travelling which we knew wasn’t the case as we travel every year. Our only option was to walk a 2 mile round trip ( with my husband who has mobility issues) to get cash from the nearest ATM. Upon returning to the hotel we told the receptionist she had been wrong as all three cards had worked fine so it must have been their machine not working- no apology nothing. Food wise there were very limited options and the same repeated everyday. Only one pool side snack bar on the other side of the hotel that serves just 2 types of juice. Any branded drinks had to be paid for. No I’ve creams etc for kiddies just pizza and crepes. All inclusive alcohol included local rum, vodka, rum or beer. Not the All inclusive package it made out to be. Rooms were very basic and the hotel was in dire need of repair in many places. With a bit of work and investment it could be lovely place. The majority of staff were friendly and accommodating . The best things about the hotel were the Spa packages and the animation team who were fantastic with little children. The beach was by no means private as advertised and Wi-Fi was virtually non existent! We made the most of our holiday and enjoyed Tunisia and would go back but NOT to this hotel!

We visited off season and many of the facilties were not available however we had a great time and consider the experience excellent value for money.. We arrived late at night and were processed quicky at reception and provided with a welcome drink. Throughout our 7 day visit we received exceptional service for the reception staff, in particular Manel and her colleague Mohammed. The restaurant provided a variety of foods although there was minimal variety from day to day. We certainly did not go hungry. Puddings were delicious, calorie rich and plentiful. Breakfast consisted of cereals, croisants pan au chocolat cakes, cheese, cold cuts eggs and a variety of cooked offerings. Bread was fresh omelettes and pancakes were available to order. Fruit squash, a variety of coffee types (Espresso, capuchino. etc) tea and infusions and cold bottled water were provided. Dinner served a buffet style of, locally made soup and tagine, salads, a variety of hot dishes, fruit squash and tea or infusion (sadly no coffee) Wine or other alcoholic drinks available to order. Bottled water was free and available on request. Rooms are simply decorated but clean although a rather dated. We received good service from the cleaning staff. A secure safe is available in the room at a small extra charge against a 20 dinar deposit. The room does not have a fridge nor mini bar nor facilities to make tea nor coffee
Alltogether a very enjoyable experience. I would not hesitate to stay again.

We decided to go on a cheap holiday, 3 weeks before our wedding, to have a bit of chill time before the madness begins.

Paying £750 for both of us, all-inclusive, we certainly didn't have high expectations, especially given some of the terrible reviews left recently.

The service and attitude of all the staff was amazing. From the reception to the maids to the entertainment team to the barmen, waiters and the chefs.

We arrived at midnight and before we got into our room we were ushered into the restaurant (which closes at 9) and given a 3 course meal and drinks. When we returned to reception we were given a bottle of ice cold water to take to our room.

Our room was clean, spacious and with a view of the pool and the sea. Our linen and towels were changed every day!

The food in the restaurant was varied and would cater for most, other than the most fussy eaters. There were staff on hand to cook you an omelette or some fresh pasta and there was plenty local cuisine as well as pizza, chips etc, and a large salad bar.

I've never experienced an all-inclusive hotel where the waiters will bring you drinks and food without asking.

The alcohol was of decent quality, considering it was all local brands, and although we went to the bar for our drinks there were plenty people around the pool getting the staff to bring them out.

There are 2 outdoor pools. We only used the main pool, which was a lovely temperature. The quieter pool had some slides for the kids.

We went a 2 day excursion which cost the equivalent of £100 each. It was basically a tour of Tunisia. We saw the cave houses of Matmata, the largest amphitheatre outside of Italy in El Jem. We stayed in a city called Douz, which is the gateway to the Sahara desert and had a sunset camel ride for an hour. The next day we went to see the largest salt lake in Tunisia, before climbing the Atlas Mountains to see an Oasis and Canyon at Chebika. Then we had a 4WD experience through the desert to see one of the sets from the Star Wars films, before stopping off at the Great Mosque in Kairouan on the way back. The price of that trio included the overnight stay and 4 meals. We only had to buy our drinks! (The camel ride and 4WD was an extra £17).

We loved that excursion so much we went for a boat trip the next day, which was another fantastic experience but then we chilled for the rest of the holiday.

We were sad to come home today but to show how attentive the staff were, we got a late check out (for free) as our transfer wasn't picking us up til 6.30pm.

Our first time in Tunisia and the hotel staff have left an impression thst will never be forgotten.

Came for 2 weeks with my family. On arrival at midnight was offered drinks and water helped to our rooms with cases, air conditioned and spacious Rooms, very clean and cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Entertainment/animation staff extremely attentive and made my daughter’s and sisters and nephews holidays. Special mention to Sirine who always went out of her way to make my family feel comfortable and even took my sisters and daughter out to get henna tattoos. All staff are very very polite and go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. The food isn’t too everybody’s pallet at each meal time but there is something you can find to eat. Breakfast could have more choice.

Stayed for 11 nights 2 adults 2 children. Gave us a room without a balcony, requested for this to be changed, guy on reception wasn't happy with us changing and kept putting us off. Lady on reception changed our room next day to the older part of the hotel. The room was really big with a separate bedroom, and a very large balcony. The toilet in the room absolutely stunk of urine, I scrubbed around the toilet and it masked the smell for a short time but then was back, there was feaces smudged on the tiles. The shower was grotty, I washed it first as there were the previous residents hair in there. The floors were not cleaned in the room they were very dirty, bed sheets were not changed at all. Bed sheets, my child had a slight accident, so we placed this with the dirty towels and it was put back on the bed!! The air-conditioning was really poor. The life guards were rude, and whistling for no reason half the time, drove us mad ! One of the security men was such a creep, he would stare and arrange his private areas, and watch from the shadows in the hotel, really creeper me out. We was given a shower room on day of departure, they guy who showed us the room was very miserable and huffed and puffed when we said we didn't have any towels, he managed to get 3 for 4 people.
We enjoyed Tunisia the previous year but now will never return. Really disappointing. The hotel really needs an uplift and good scrub, it has potential!
