What a wonderful hotel! Nothing is too much effort for the staff. As soon as we walked into the palatial entrance we were asked to take a comfy seat to complete registration card where we were also given a cool long lemon drink. The room is a junior suite with a huge balcony overlooking the pool and gardens which lead onto the beach so we also get a stunning sea view ! Very clean rooms and an amazingly huge bed! Huge white towels and bath robes. Soft beach towels provided. The buffet food is a very high standard with an incredible selection changed daily. We had a very nice A La Carte meal as part of package. Branded drinks are part of all inclusive package. We cannot recommend enough and will definitely return!

This was not the hotel we had booked but we were allocated to it when our original hotel was closed over New Year. I am glad this happened because this hotel exceeded every expectation I had for our holiday! From the moment we got off the bus this hotel was soothing and relaxing. Check in was from a sofa with a delicious drink. Our room was huge; seating area, dressing room, balcony with another sofa, table and chairs and bathroom with separate bath and shower. Food was excellent with great range of choice at every meal. All inclusive drinks were of a high standard. The gardens, lounge and bar were beautiful. We used the gym and indoor pool too, both great. The nearest town is a 20 minute walk along the beach. What really makes this hotel though is the staff. Every person worked so hard to make our holiday a wonderful experience - including cleaners, bar staff, waiters and ents team. I was sad to leave this relaxing bubble!
If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, relaxing experience then this is definitely the hotel for you.

The actual hotel and grounds are stunning. All rooms are either Junior Suites, suites or higher end. The junior suites are huge. A queen size plus bed , large wide screen tv , comfortable chairs and well decorated. A large balcony overlooked the sea and pool from #314. Food was a lovely buffet with live food stations to order from. Service was impeccable ( Thanks Basheer). Even with my wifes eating disorder they were able to accommodate her eating and drinking needs. I was able to watch many of the Premier League games in the evening in the sports room with a cinescreen projector. I lost my room key during the stay but wasn't charged the 25TD stated to replace. The hotel was quiet but this is their coldest weeks and quietest time for the hotel, however they did have a contingent from the African Hand Ball Association there for the tournament in Tunisia. I think we will return again this time next year!

A perfect 5 night stay, in one of the junior suites with a pool and sea view, starting on the 9th March 2020. The room and bathroom were both large and very well equipped. There was a dressing room which housed plenty of storage and hanging space, a safe and free mini bar which was restocked every day. The large balcony had a large, comfortable and relaxing lounging bench to watch the sun set along with a table and chairs to enjoy a beer and gaze in the opposite direction out to sea. In addition for us the main highlights were the exceptional service from all the hotel staff and the excellent fresh food served at breakfast, lunch and dinner. A great hotel for couples to totally relax and feel well looked after. We hope to return once the travel restrictions are lifted.

I have to agree with all of the average reviews that have been written before this one, a beautiful hotel but definitely not 5*.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, as are the gardens and pool area.
The building is stunning.
The food is good but same’ish day after day. The deserts are generally the same thing but reproduced in a different shape or colour.
The chefs work very hard to maintain supply but the waiters are very hit or miss.
Be prepared to wait in the restaurant…for everything! At breakfast there’s a wait for coffee, if the waiter likes you, or if you speak their language it seems you got their service quickly but otherwise we waited sometimes 10-15 minutes before they even spoke to us.
If you don’t put something on your table, it’s taken by someone else, hence why we’d wait to get drinks ordered.
Then there’s the wait at the cooking stations. These are a great idea, producing fresh pancakes/donuts in the morning and pasta/pizza at lunch/evening…but…the wait is crazy, I got through a bowl of soup and 3 pieces of bread before my poor daughter had even got to the guy making the pasta dishes. Then there’s the wait for the bill that you have to sign at the end of lunch and dinner.
We were all inclusive but they still insist that you sign for drinks everywhere, which is a pain, especially with the slow waiters, we just left in the end.
The rooms are very dated, we had a disconnected phone in the toilet area, this was hanging out of the wall with a hole behind it, cracks/chips in tiles have just been filled with silicone sealant and the shower produced a small river over the outer floor after each use.
The air con in the building feels very outdated and barely worked in our room, this is an internal system and not air con machines in each room.
During our stay there was also an externally organised event by the pool. This meant that not only did we have to listen to the incessant banging of a metal frame stage being erected all day on the Friday from 9am, the testing of the speakers and microphone etc, then the music of the party, we then had to listen to it all being taken down, along with the carnage that ensued following the “fitness event” and white party, including broken glass on the grass, debris all over the gardens and strewn alcohol bottles and glasses. During this time, the paying “5*” guests were forced to only use one side of the pool, this made it cramped and meant some people didn’t get sunbeds or shade.
Sadly the beach looks nothing like it does in the photos on Tui website, it was dirty and the sea was choppy every day and full of seaweed. I walked down once and came back with chewing gum on my foot.
Reception was slow to respond to problems and please note, they don’t exchange money, so you have to get a taxi into town for an ATM to get cash.
We chose this hotel over a 3 or 4 star in a more expensive location because we really thought we’d get a 5* experience but sadly this wasn’t to be.

We have just got back to England after staying at this amazing hotel, We have stayed at this hotel previously and got the exactly the same service as before very welcoming on arrival. Waiters, Cleaners and Bar staff can not do enough for you making you feel comfortable nothing is too much trouble and are always happy to help. Indoor & Outdoor pool are cleaned every morning and are kept clean though-out the day also plenty of sun loungers for all with shade. Waiter service round the pool & beach are brilliant with regular frequent visits during the day. Restaurant service is very attentive with drinks also it is kept very clean with a good choice of FRESH cooked food for example Fish,Meat,Pasta and Pizza so all in all well worth a visit. Rooms are larger than average with a separate dressing room and a large balcony with a table and chairs and a outdoor sofa. We also had a amazing evening on the Beach view Restaurant they put on a amazing BBQ for all guests with live entertainment.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Front Office Manager Salah Mlaouah and the young lady on Reception also the rest of the staff. As without there help and kindness after our flight was cancelled due to a IT Outage. We were transferred to another Hotel which we did not want to stay at, We contacted Oceana back to stay back at the hotel and they organised a room and taxi back for us. During our extra stay there they could not have supported us enough. Making sure we had everything we needed we finally left the hotel 2 days later, they organised all the transfers to the airport for us. I would also like to thank the rep Ozer for all his help during the stressful time with having our flight cancelled.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year

Thank you again

J. Turner

My family and I spent a week at this hotel on a TUI package, flying from Manchester. We were somewhat apprehensive as none of us had ever been to Tunisia before. Our week at TUI BLUE Oceana Suites was absolutely fantastic. The hotel itself is stunning, and the rooms are very large. We followed the hotel on several social media sites before going, and were a little worried as the stories they post make it look like there is a constant party atmosphere and we were concerned about noise. The reality could not have been more different. There is entertainment, especially on weekends, but from the rooms you can hear nothing and the hotel has a very peaceful ambiance. The pool is beautiful, and once you walk out, someone brings you beach towels for the sun loungers. The same happens on the beach. We did aqua aerobics which was brilliant, and there are lots of other events too. We also hired a Jet Ski (which you have to pay for) which was really fun. All of the staff at the hotel are really, really lovely. Nader who refills the mini bar daily was especially kind, and made a real effort with guests and we spoke to him every day. Our stay here really was lovely and we will definitely be coming back to TUI BLUE Oceana Suites. Thank you!

I have never written a review before, but thought this hotel deserves one as from the start of our holiday until we left everyone and everything was absolutely amazing .

We arrived on Friday 27th January for a 1 week stay ,the reception staff were polite and extremely helpful ,the food in the a La carte restaurant was some of the best meals we have had on holiday .

The restaurant staff were helpful ,polite and couldn’t do enough for us ,they even brought a birthday cake to our table for my wife on her birthday .

We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the hotel grounds and out to the beach and sea .

The room was kept spotlessly clean by a lovely lady who created bird sculptures from towels for us on most days .

It was our first visit to Tunisia and we would definitely return to Tunisia for another visit and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel .

May we take this opportunity to thank all the staff for looking after us and making our stay memorable.

Ann-Marie and Mark

Disappointed with this hotel but mainly as to how it was advertised by Tui. It was meant to be a family hotel but this was far from it. It was more of a retirement hotel although it had a kids pool but was not cleaned until after we complained.

The staff did go above and beyond however there was no daytime activities other than pool aerobics. Nothing for children. We were told it was because of Covid.

The food was very repetitive and got boring after a few days. On a number of occasions, the grilled turkey skewers were raw in the middle. When the hotel had management in the staff all wore masks, put screens up in front of the food and you couldn't help yourselves. However, as soon as their management left everything was back to how it was i.e. no masks and help yourself service. It is a shame as it was clearly all bravado.

For the first 4 days of us being there it felt like we were in a business conference centre with exhibitions in the main area of the hotel. At lunch it became very busy and the visitors were rude which ruined our experience.

Most of the restaurants and bars were not open. The beach bar was closed, a la carte only open on Wednesday and 2 other restaurants never opened.

Amenities in the hotel were so inconsistent. One day we got 2 towels, another day 3 and when requested we finally got 4 even though the hotel knew we were a family of 4. Some days nothing was refilled and we had to keep asking.

I am sure the hotel is lovely in peak season but what we had was not what was advertised by Tui.

The hotel was amazing, great views, beach, lovely place for a couple. There is a spa inside the hotel alongside swimming pools and much more. The hotel staff were amazing and made sure we were well looked after, especially Muhammad and rehab at reception who helped us book travel and excursions. The staff at breakfast and the restaurant were very welcoming and friendly and all other staff like cleaners always said hello with a smile. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, 10/10! Amazing experience :)
