The Sea Pearl was to be an exiting and fun holiday for our family, a week in what was described as the second to top suite in the resort, identical to the top of the line except for the spa rather than the plunge pool so I was informed by Wyndham when making my booking! I was also told that we would be upgraded if anyone cancelled or changed their booking, as higher point holding members make bookings ahead of everyone else to secure the room in case they decide to go to the better resorts but often cancel. The accommodation in it's layout was fine and manageable, overlooking a pool and gardens and a smallish deck to eat or have drinks and a two person cold spa. We had two bedrooms and in one was a queen bed and the other was two singles, although it did say sleeps four, we thought that family suite as it is called, supplying an extra bed should not be difficult as the two previous resorts on this trip did so without fuss supplying a ready made up full single bed strapped so as not to mess up the sheets etc and wheeled in and placed ready to use no problem, just pay for the extra breakfast. However at the Wyndham Sea pearl when asked for another single Bed We received a fold up bed with a thin mattress suitable for a small child and an asking price of $75 per night not including anything! We sent it back I slept on the lounge and We ate elsewhere for the week. The rooms are old and not properly maintained as far as repairs and cleaning goes and the grounds are at non priority level maintenance. The stay was just O.K. but We expected a lot more from Wyndham and would advise caution before becoming part of this group!

The Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket has so much potential as the property is located in a beautiful setting and well manicured grounds surround the property, and has an amazing staff, however, the following issues need to be addressed as I am currently staying in a two bedroom unit that is subpar.

This hotel is classified as a resort and my unit has a kitchen, however, there are no napkins or paper towels, corkscrew or bottle opener (upon request a staff member will open up your bottles and they told me only one exists on the entire property) no microwave (upon request someone will heat up your food which is a huge inconvenience) no iron, a non-operational scale. In addition to these aspects the size of the units are sufficient but it is very dated with very suspect area shag rugs that need to be cleaned. The shower walls and curtains were not clean and the two jacuzzi tubs on our patios were dirty and in poor condition, dirty pool adjacent to my room and had to go to alternate pool on property.

If this was not bad enough the shuttle service is the worse I’ve ever seen at any hotel. The shuttles themselves are old, run down, with poor air-conditioning, transmission, with one instance where it overheated and is poorly managed. Each guest must reserve shuttle service in advance as slots are limited for the hourly shuttle run and problem lies for pick up service in returning to the hotel. Tonight several guest were unable receive a ride back to hotel as there was not sufficient service for the guests and this led to an overcrowded bus and several guests to find alternate means of transportation. This is unacceptable and no guest should be left to fend for themselves.

I read the mixed reviews of this resort and agree with some aspects of the negative and positive reviews. The photos and promotional video appear to be old and hopefully changes can be made as this property has quite a bit of potential if it was managed differently and catered to the guest with whom they serve.

We were looking forward to ending our holiday at the Sea Pearl after travelling around for 7 days. First thing that struck us was the deposit.. Bht3000. We found this to be quite a high deposit as most places charged us 1000 or just took a copy of our passports.

Secondly the minute you check in you are sat down and tried to be tempted into a timeshare. We had no interest so politely declined to attend a talk on the matter but next day we had reception ringing our room asking us to attend which we weren’t thrilled with.

On the up side the pools are great, the one in our area was so peaceful with beautiful scenery. The cocktails at the clubhouse bar were top notch and we enjoyed happy hour. My boyfriend loved our jacuzzi tub on the patio. Most of the outdoor scenery is very well maintained and the rooms are very spacious but our one bed suite was a little tired in places and we were surprised to find it didn’t have an iron. Staff were very helpful and polite.

Overall a nice hotel, but just not quite what the glamorous pictures are showing you!

The service here is very bad. Showed up with confined reservation only to be told that they had been cancelled by the travel service I used to purchase them I never got any notice of this I showed them the confirmed email only to get a confused look by the manager and host . We ended up having to pay what there nightly rate was instead of what I had booked over a month ago. I called the travel company only to be told my reservation was still confirmed and they had never cancelled it, the travel company even called the hotel front office to find out what the issue was and they got told it was cancelled by the hotel but that the hotel had “fixed the issue”(charging us extra) . Once getting into the room it was filthy the hot tub out side was full of leaves and DIRT the room itself was not in the best shape. We then went back to the front office to let them know we called the travel company and that our reservation was still confirmed and they were the ones that cancelled our reservations the manager instead of apologizing seemed angry and annoyed with us only telling us that the reservation was already cancelled before we got there (obviously because they cancelled it )at this point money wasn’t the issue we just asked to get a cleaner room the manager then told us to try asking him again tomorrow. As a couple on vacation this left a really bad taste in our mouths making our vacation stressful instead of a relaxing get away ): still trying to make the best of this unpleasant situation.

We stayed at these hotel 2 weeks. Hotel fully met our expectations. Service is very high. Room was spacious, very clean, neat. Housekeeping work is excellent.

Just receptionists should be more organised as they lost my travel agents departure message for me at last day.

Territory so quiet and peaceful, very clean, green, silent.

Cockroaches, lizards, ants will not disturb you be sure. We were fully realising that we came to tropical country . It is also a part of the travel when you see such a new nature friends who are part of this ecosystem. Seeing them that was fun and interesting for us.

Very nice, silent, clean pools . No crowd at the pools))) .One of them was near to our room and there was another biger one.We had also own jacuzzi in our balcony.

Breakfasts at every day were nice, no complaints. Just need to add more fish meals a little bit maybe, because we came to country famous with their seafood cuisine.

This hotel I can recommend . Excellent. Many thanks !!

The hotel staff are excellent, they are very helpful, friendly and understanding. We stayed 6 days in a double room. The room we had was very clean and spacious and quite. it even had it's own spa on the balcony. There is no shortage of nice swimming pools. The restaurants are excellent and had excellent quality food which is some times missing in hotels. They have a Western and Asian menu. My only regretted is that we didn't pre book the breakfast package. I would recommend that you take the breakfast package if you going get up late eat breakfast overlooking the pool as it will save you money. The Alfa restaurant has great food and excellent service. The view of sunset over Patong and beach is breath taking.
We hired a car while we stayed their as the shuttle to Patong Beach was not operating as the resort was very quite and is not located in the beach area. we walked to the beach one day but we would not recommend it as the there no foot path and traffic is dangerous.

The pictures do not show the actual condition of the hotel - it is damaged, old and dirty. We had giant cockroaches, ants and a lizard in the room. There was a hole in the bathroom outside, probably through which animals entered. Photos and videos were taken a long time ago and do not show the current state of the hotel. In the breakfast restaurant it is difficult to get a seat, the food ends quickly and is not replenished on a regular basis. For most of the breakfast, one hot dish is available and all heaters are empty. Bedding and towels dirty. There were problems with transport to the city - no sidewalk, and crossing the side of a busy route was impossible. The bus into town / to the beach, that the hotel offers was all booked for two days in advance. The only option was a taxi, even if there were 500 meters to cover (about 35-40 PLN). There was noise across the hotel throughout the day (even in the room).

Dear Khun Kwach88: Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at the resort. Your comments are a crucial tool that assists me to maintain and improve our service standards and customer experiences. Unfortunately it seems we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We have more than 200 photos across our website and online travel agency partners and while we do our best to ensure each photo is a true representation of each room category mistakes can happen. We are currently conducting an audit of all sales points to identify any issues. We are located in a tropical mountainside and beetles, geckos and ants are part of the natural flora and fauna. Our housekeeping team, as well as our third party pest Control Company, conduct regular treatments however we will never eradicate all pests form this natural ecosystem. They are harmless but I fully understand your concerns especially if you are not familiar with this region. I have shared your comments concerning the breakfast replenishment speed with the culinary team. Please accept my apologies for our shortcomings during this stay. Having traveling around 22 countries globally, it indeed is painful for me to feed in this feedback for hospitality of an amazing country-Thailand. I have been the most loyal advocates to some of hotel properties like Sofitel and Westin in the region, however Wyndhamm Sea Pearls left no stone unturned to tarnish all my previous experience.

After a long and busy fiscal 2019, I opted to spend some time in serenity in Phuket along with my parents (Senior Citizens),my wife, my lil daughter and my infant son.

Leave aside the apathy towards basic courtesies, the hotel staff went to extent to deny us breakfast for my 1 year boy and that too to my old parents, just coz I wasnt present at the coffee shop. If I was , I would posted a live feed on entire Social Media and may be, have involved my lawyer then and there.

1. We were given twin beds instead of Kingsize( what was confirmed to us on booking voucher), with a blunt reply.....we can give what we have, without zero sensitivity to the age of my parents and my kids.
2. Jacuzzi was very unhygienic
3. Very impolite and discourteous reception staff
4. No customization or options in Breakfast

To summarise, I wont ever advocate anyone to spend any valued time ( as money is secondary) in this property, who have no sense of concept of Hospitality.

Karan

7 nights stay in our own pool villa was not long enough! Such a beautiful resort. Our room was perfect for us. Hot great shower, good kitchenette with full sized fridge freezer, toaster, kettle and sink. Great bed and pillows, great lounge area and the most amazing private pool with ocean and city views!
Couple negatives but didnt ruin our trip... missing thing was a sitting outdoor area, was just lounge chairs that were hard and uninviting.
A stained rug, sliding door lock broke but was fixed same day, housekeeping charged us for items we didn't use but was still in fridge, toilet paper wasn't replaced and was a little outdated but as I said didn't ruin our holiday.
The services within hotel are extremely expensive such as food and drinks but in saying that we went to buffet BBQ night and was amazing! Worth the money. Excellent service, bit over the top actually, beautiful sunset and lovely live music.
Loved the complementary shuttle bus but just plan your travel times as only 18 seater bus that goes every hour from 10am to 8pm.
We had no issues getting into town on it as we pre booked however could imagine issues for those who didn't preplan.
300baht to get back in tuk tuk which we thought was awesome, bit of cultural experience along with a safe ride home at anytime.
I loved my stay here highly reccomend this place. Just far enough out if town for peace and quiet but close enough for hustle and bustle!
Loved it!

We originally booked to stay at the Wyndham Sea Pearl for 4 nights, but after we saw the resort and the facilities we decided to extend because we loved it so much! The resort is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and the facilities are top notch.

Special mention goes to Vit the bell boy who was a great help; always so polite and made us feel very welcome.

It is with nothing that the hotel is removed from Patong, so be prepared to plan your day around the free shuttle, as you cannot walk between Patong and the resort. A taxi/tuk-tuk between Patong and the resort is ~300 baht per trip.
