What a fantastic place. So clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very large with a lot of yummy selections. I would definitely recommend and come here again if in the area. The room was huge with a kitchenette and a spacious seating area. Slept good too.

I stayed here for a month which gave ample time for me to decide if I liked the place or not. :) If it's any indication, I came back for a second stay a week later! I was very pleased with the accommodations and the service. My room was quiet, management called me by name, and my dog was treated like a wanted guest. Here are a few other notable mentions: Myasia (sp?) was often the person at the front desk who greeted me and tended to my needs. If I came in late from a long day of work, she always had a hot meal from the oven on the days they were being served. She was ALWAYS friendly, efficient and easy to work with. Sherwyn was the evening manager that carried himself with a calm which put everyone at ease. He is professional and respectful and if I needed anything, he was prompt to assist my needs. Jill and Jim run the breakfast team and they were great about learning my name and knowing what I wanted to eat before I even ordered. They were a wonderful start to my morning. Rich does a great job of taking care of the grounds, bringing things to the room when needed, and fixing items so that it all runs smoothly. Like I said, my experience was wonderful, so I came back for another round.

We have stayed at Staybridge Suites each time we have visited Albany while kids were in college. The rooms are brilliantly and thoughtfully designed. The employees from the front desk to the breakfast host are excellent, cheerful and truly helpful! I have stayed in a lot of hotels and just wish that they were all as delightful as the Staybridge Suites. We certainly do not take the people or the design for granted.
Joe does the breakfast and it is excellent! It is a full breakfast to appeal to any dietary restrictions or desires. They use real plates and utensils making dining seem both more pleasant as well as thoughtfully keeping unnecessary items from going in the landfill.
The suites have a door that closes off the bedroom from the kitchen and living area which makes early risers and late risers travel more compatible.
The materials used in the room are not the typical cheap, gross, plastic prefab showers, but instead are made of quality materials- ceramic tiles, heavy doors instead of the cheap flimsy make shift divider doors; the kitchen has just about anything you need for a short or even a longer stay.
They have a great small fitness center, an area to have family gatherings outside by a fire. It is an exceptionally thought out place to stay that I HIGHLY recommend. I wish other places put as much thought into what they offer their guests as Staybridge does.
Finally, I cannot give enough accolades to the management and the staff at the check in counter. They have to be the most friendly, helpful, accommodating, consistent, and happy front desk that I have ever encountered. They are the face of the hotel and what a fantastic first and lasting impression they leave. Great people doing a fantastic job of representing their employer!!

Staying in a hotel during covid can be nerve-wracking, and the staff member (Sherwyn) I spoke with in advance of booking was very accommodating in reviewing all of their safety and cleaning procedures with me. I felt comfortable booking two nights in the hotel for my family with my young kids. The hotel itself is nice, and the suite we booked was spacious and clean.
However, this hotel is clearly a party spot. One evening we came back to the hotel to a group of 20 people hanging out in the parking lot in their swimsuits, drinking beers. One of the nights, there was a loud, raucous party happening next door. Large groups of people were going up and down the stairs and hanging out in the courtyard. And while the staff can't control guests' mask wearing or social distancing, given the level of partying going on, there was no way to avoid proximity to others.
Overall, I would not stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to others.

We decided to go for a drive as we wanted to eat at the Cheesecake Factory and knew we would be staying the night somewhere nearby..we checked out some of our regular stsys..one was booked up ..the other closed due to Covid..So we spotted the Staybridge Suites as we were going to dinner and stopped in to see if there were any rooms available...fortunately for us ..there was..the desk was busy but fast and effecient..and very cordial..We got our room keys and went up to our room..very happy..the kitchen area has a full sized refridgerator, microwave,a two burner in counter stove, dish washer, in sink food disposal, coffee maker..dishes, utensils,cook ware and glasses.,the living area boasts a comfy couch and ottomans, desk with chair and a bar with stools for dining at..a large t.v. on a console,a set of doors opens into the bedroom,a large comfy bed, easy chair and closet to hang clothes, a dresser that the second t.v. sets on..the decor is understated but nice..a vanity and sink are across from the closet..another door leads into the bath/shower ..with toilet..nice towels..a trio of bath products are provided in bath..the Staybridge Suites offer breakfast in a pleasant dining area..they also have a pool ..they allow so many at a time from different rooms..due to covid...a workout room on the premises and an outside basketball court..we were very pleased and will be back..the courtesy and quickness to respond to our need for assistance with the t.v.and the heat/cooling unit..was appreciated..

Sometimes you just need to get away. Away from the routines, away from the grind. That is what I needed when I decided to get away for a week-end in Albany.
I believe that the comfort of my stay was greatly enhanced by Staybridge Suites Albany. The staff were very friendly and extremely courteous, especially the Front Office Manager Sherwyn Clarke. There were some unsavory guests at the hotel during our stay. Mr Clarke went out of his way to ensure our stay remained pleasant.
Staybridge Suites Albany is conveniently located across from the Colonie Mall! It was so nice to go shopping without worrying about finding a place to park.
Our suite was clean,spacious and offered all the comforts of home. Staff were COVID conscious and ensured the environment was kept clean and enforced social distancing and masking. I know I will return here soon.

So I really wanted to like this hotel but a couple of things really detracted from the experience. First, I am a Platinum member of IHG and I actually emailed the hotel in advance of our stay and asked for a hotel room on the highest floor and a quiet room. I never received a response back. When I checked in, I was not upgraded at all despite multiple rooms being available and I was put on the 4th floor when the hotel had 6 floors total, which no one made me aware of. In addition, we were given a room facing the fire pit area, which was not at all quiet. As to quiet, I would not expect that at all. We stayed for a week and every night, there were loud parties in the fire pit area that lasted until 1-2am. I was shocked as the door to the area said it was only open until 10pm. We had multiple guests who would stand in the hallways, banging doors and causing terrible commotion at all hours of the night. Finally, our room was never cleaned for the whole week we stayed; no knocks on the door to ask about housekeeping or any direction as to how to request it. So unhappy with my experience. Please think twice before staying at this place.

We have traveled all over the country and have stayed at different kinds of hotels and this is by far the most welcoming hotel we’ve been to. MyAsia and Casey (the supervisor and front desk agent) have gone above and beyond to ensure we have everything we need to enjoy a comfortable stay. The amenities are exceptional and all the facilities are kept clean. The complimentary dinners Monday through Wednesday and the breakfast each day are fresh and delicious. Jim and Jill are excellent employees that make us feel at home during our meals. We have loved our stay thus far and will be back next time we are in Albany!!

Located close to shopping and restaurants we checked in early to a clean, modern one bedroom suite with an attendant who was less than forth coming with information that we as first-time guests really needed to know!
While we were informed that the breakfast room was under renovations a fact we already knew, it was a chore on our part to receive the location of the temporary breakfast room from the staffer at check-in.
When we asked the gym location, we would now be informed that the gym was also closed due to renovations, a new fact not mentioned on the web site
Next, we had to pull out the social hour and breakfast times from him, and again then inquire where was the social hour being held during renovations
Again, there was no mention of “light daily housekeeping” which we would
Apart from the slightly difficult check in person, all the staff at the hotel are a cut above. They will bend over backward to assist and accommodate with pleasant welcoming and appreciative manner hood that really makes the stay terrific!
We found the room nicely furnished, the king bed ever so soft and comfortable – Outside was a courtyard conducive to sitting out and enjoying a drink or a meal cooked on the BBQ.
Onsight offers do it yourself complimentary washers and dryers secured behind a key coded door
Social hour on Monday was one of the better social hours experienced in some time – The evening fare consisted of green appealing fresh salad, Macaroni, and tasty Buffalo and reg breaded chicken.
Surprisingly delicious and enhance with complimentary Cold beer on tap or a glass of white, red & rose wine which were all of decent “house quality”
Breakfasts were of a definet step up from “Residence In junk” and had a decent selection of hot and cold items to vary the daily experience.

We felt like we were at home in this hotel. It had everything we needed. Great location for stores and restaurant and just a few minute away from the airport. They offered a courtesy shuttle ride from the airport to the hotel. We've stayed at a few hotels in the past year and this is the only one that served actual breakfast- in a very safe way. The staff were always available to assist with any questions. There was no charge to use the laundry facility. Traveling with younger kids, this is a great option. We ordered a few things online and the hotel staff called me prior to my arrival to let me know it's there. I had no issues retrieving my package at check-in. My wife and I always make sure to return to hotels like this. We travel with kids and this hotel is 100% kid friendly. While we didn't check out all of their amenities we were made aware of them.

HI, Yes we are a pet friendly hotel. There is a non refundable pet fee of $75-$150 depending on the length of your stay. Your pet also has to be under 80 pounds

We do offer adjoining / connecting rooms, however we cannot guarantee their availability. My best suggestion is to look into our two-bedroom suites since our adjoining rooms have a similar layout (one room with a king bed, the other has two queen beds; each with their own bathroom)

Our standard One Bedroom suites (either King or 2 Queens) have a tub/shower combination. We do have several handicap accessible One Bedroom suites that can accommodate guests with different shower accommodations.
