This is my first time experience on glamping. Saw review of this place and decided to try it. The location it was quite far from tol exit Bogor. We stayed at mongolian camp. Had a good time with my family. Of course for the tent, can't expect like hotel facilities. It was rather simple and also one of our room got ants and insects which was quite disturbing. Understand that this place has unique concept but it will be better if they maintain the room also. During our stay, it was raining in day time, we couldn't enjoy the outdoor facilities. It's kind a boring. And to go out for meal or shopping also quite troublesome. Regret that we reserved for 2nights stay. The food not great, just to fill our stomach. I think this is my first time and last one staying here.
The good thing we can see the mountain in the morning. Around 10am, the mist will build up and cover the mountain. Weather not that cool, around 27 degree Celsius.

The concept is Indian and Mongolian Camp which is nice. But the room smell not good. But they have beautiful view of Salak Mountain. And the place have activities area such as outbound or something like that. You have to bring your jacket because this place was so cold. 😨

But for you and your family who want take an adventure. And beautiful of Salak Mountain. Just go and relax

At first i thought it will be freezin' out there since Highland's location is at the downhill of Gunung Salak, but in fact - it was not. It's sunny (with no mountain wind) at noon and night temperature was quite normal.

I did not recall any special facilities available. But it seems Highland is well known as alternative to hold company's activities such as team building. I dont think this resort suits for (small) family vacation.

The Mongolian Camp style room is average with minimum light facility, the food was ok, staff are friendly.

Overall, I would not call it "disappoinment" but surely it was not meet my expectation.

I was really happy to be served by the staffs, I was there for maybe June 2019 and I left my ID card there. It has been a very long time ago but somehow the kept my ID safe until now. Thereby, the staff was very helpful to send my ID back to my place and it was really appreciated. So many thanks, I’m sure I’ll be back someday.

I stayed there with my family of 3 kids for a weekend somewhere in April / May 2012. There were several promotional articles on internet with beautiful photos about this place, so I decided to come and stay.

Well, let me highlight the good things about this place first :
1. The Mongolian Tent is a nice concept, different from others.
2. Nice view of Salak Mountain from the site.
3. Friendly and helpful staffs
That's all...!! ...yeaah...that's all...!!

The place is too far. It took us around 1.5 - 2 hours from Bogor exit toll. We arrived there at 12 noon, and it was so HOT..!! We had lunch in the restaurant waiting for our tent to be ready. The food were expensive, five star price with a 3 star taste. The tents are around 4x5 by size, built from bamboo as main construction, covered by a white plastic at the outside, and colorful fabrics on the inside. It makes all noises from outside almost have no barrier to hear from the tent. We couldn't sleep until 11.30pm because of the noises from other visitors walking around, talking, laughing, etc..

Inside the tent are one king sized bed and 3 sofa beds, with LCD TV and cheap quality furnitures. It is marble floored including the bathroom. Quite clean because it's a new resort, but looking at the built quality, I doubt that it will look the same in the next 1 - 2 years. The door handled of our tent was already broken.

The pool is ok for kids, but is definitely not meant for adult. There are only few big trees in the site, makes it too hot for us to stay outside the tent between 9.30am - 4.30pm. Literally hot..!!. The playground is also too small, in my opinion.

I paid around IDR1.6M/night on the tent, breakfast inlc. It was actually a 20% off from the published rate, but even so it was not worth it for me. I take vacation for weekend with my family almost once a month, have visited many places within 2-3 hours distance from Jakarta, and this place is certainly not a place I want to go twice.

I went there just for observation, the school of my kid were planning to go there, so I thought I better check the situation first.
We took the road that they suggest at the map on their brochure, and we got lost.
There's no signages at all after we reach BNR. The road is very difficult, small, and full of slope upward while turning...
It's raining when we get there at noon, and the security tell us we can not approach the restaurant with our car. We have to leave our car in the parking lot down below and we have to walk there and they didn't offer umbrella while it's raining....
I said I'm bringing children and my mother, can we at least drop them ?
Again the security said the drop off area are full.
Imagine my surprise after sending them with our own umbrella and reach the restaurant...
There are no car at the drop off area, and there is a parking lot, enough for 10 more car in front of the restaurant ...
I ask where should I put my umbrella and the security guy tell me to put the umbrella in the umbrella basket in front of the reception. I did it and we enter the Lobby.
We eat at the restaurant and the service is very slow...
We just order steak and nasi timbel and half of the nasi timbel is finished when the steak arrived... I guess half of the appetite is gone too...
After we finished at the restaurant, we ask the price of the camp.
For me it is over priced (IDR 2 million per night)...
A 3 star hotel in Bogor with nice service is IDR 1,2 million per night.
The front office is not busy but she doesn't seem interest to fill all the information I need.
So we decided we have enough of it, and try to get back to our car, park down below.
Now, my umbrella is missing..
I put them in the umbrella basket in front of the reception.
Again the security guard didn't even suggest to offered their umbrella, and when I tell them my own umbrella is missing, they blame me for storing it in front of the reception.
They said I must store the umbrella at the front desk...
Why didn't they tell us that before ?
They are so busy blaming others, they forget to search...
What's the use their walkie talkie then ?
So my husband angrily go down without any umbrella (it's still raining), and reach the restaurant to pick up us by car.
There's no courtesy to open the door of the car, all the security is gone I don't know where...
So my conclusion is, they are not ready to accept guess let alone service them nicely...
Imagine to leave your kids staying there overnight with the security all gone when we ask about a simple thing like a missing umbrella...
I don't want my kids stay there... Sorry...

High expectation become a huge disappointment, going here to attend company workshop. Quite far from the city, average facility, and a poor room especially about the cleanliness. There's so many spider web at room. Not recommended for honeymooners, but if you wanna try prepare for the expensive charge of the room. I'm sorry, I'm not impress at all with the facility and others.

We went to this place during a rainy season, which expectedly you will encounter rain at any time.
With a group of 160 people, we travelled through a quite narrow street which was a challenged for a 50 seater busses to walk through.
At first when we arrived, the view was looking quite nice and green. One initial concern was the staff were quite passive. Our participants were neglected at the parking lot for quite some times without knowing where our event took place.
Secondly, it took nearly 1 hour to transport all of our participants to their room, camps, barrack - with a very limited seats of golf cars ( 1 golf car can take 3 passengers), not to mention if it ran out of battery.

When we arrived at our room, we got a quite small tent like room called Apache with a very strange and gloomy design (brown and dark). The room itself basically fit nicely with couple inside. Yet, we arranged our room with the same sex persons. Can you imagine having 2 men in the same room and have to share a queen sized bed??

Amenities were quite limited like a 3 star premises, with soap and shampoo dispenser, standard stuff like toothbrush, handsoap, tissues are available if they didn't forget. I have to ask several times before it came complete. Hairdryer pretty much suck - no power, no heat - it will take ages if you have big hair. Hot shower barely available if you happened to stay in a fully occupied villages. Expect to get freezed or no shower at all. Electricity plug were also limited, they only put 1 plug inside the wash basin with a T-Jack, just make sure your electronics didn't get short circuit while you're plugging. They put a coffee maker inside the room - again you have to plug it in inside the wash basin area.

During the event, we also have our Gala Dinner. With the thought that we will have the Ballroom for our own activity, we dressed up nicely and excitedly enjoyed our Gala. Apparently, when we arrived, the ballroom was splitted into 2 mini ballrooms, we have our gala and our music on and there were different music and noise next to our room. The sounds were annoying enough that you knew you already lost half of the excitement of your event.

The next day, we planned to have our outdoor event, we booked the area and advance paid it, booked team building activity worth 30 millions for 6 games (approx 2 hours) - only to find out that it has been screwed by the Resort unprofessional behavior!!!

No communication on the breakfast area, so people confused on where to have their breakfast.
Got delayed in doing our morning event for 1+ hours because apparently the area we've booked were used by other smaller group (160 people vs 30 people)!!!
No sense of responsibility, knowing that they screwed their coordination, they hide somewhere and letting us fought over the place with other group!
Event planned for 2 hours has to be shorten to 1 hour, because our return access will be closed that afternoon.
We did demand our half event refund worth of 15 millions, although it seems that the management only care about how much money they earned without thinking of the service level!!

Business is Business, but in the hospitality service if you do awful services, people will only come once and that's it!!

So, with the price for at least 2 Mio per night, 3 star hotel service, Bad Management Behavior, Money Oriented place, this place is so not worthed when you want to have an employee event. You can get other surrounding hotels with more reasonable price and more experienced with service.

We felt that we're being cheated by such unprofessional services!!

Adios, Highland - never come again!!

Quite expensive room for IDR 1,6mio/night for standard camp room, although the room could cater 6-7 persons with sofa beds, however the quality of the building is very fire prone, bamboo and tarp vinyl.
They provide golf cart to pick up from room to lobby/swimming pool.
Food is mediocre and very expensive, expect lower.
However this place is great for family with small children as they have playground and mini waterbom, horse riding and outbound area/ flying fox etc.

I visited this resort in this Eid holiday together with my fams. Im interested to stay at this resort because of the mongolian camp concept that this resort has.

Let me tell you the positive aspects first:
This resort has a unique concept. No other resort/hotelin Indonesia has this Mongolian concept. The resort has many kinds of mongol camps. I chose superior camp that can accomodate 7 people. One king size bed, and extra beds for the rest. This concept definitely will bring you into a different atmosphere. It is supported by clear view of Salak Mountain right above the camp.

This resort has a very wide area. There are many areas that we can explore. Child playground? Yes. Swimming pool? Yes. Billiard? Yes. Mini golf? Yes. Flowers garden? Yes. Outbond? Yes. Horse riding? Yes. tabble tennis? Yes. Fishing? Yes. This resort gives you one stop service.

In short, from the positive side, this resort has a very good concept. Childs would be the happiest, as this resort is indeed fulfill child's happiness.

Now the negative side.
- check in and check out process is very-very poor. Very slow and not fast response. I think there should be a serious training held for the staffs in order to improve this.
- besides very slow service in front desk, the staffs in front desk are also not so fluent in English, while there are quite many foreign tourists want to stay there.
- front desk staff is also careless and not organized. When i was already in the car heading back home, staff called me that she lost the payment receipt. Pffftt. How can. Ah, ya! Staff also forgot to call me that my room was already ready when i checked in, as she promised to call my phone once the room is ready. Another pffft moment.
- housekeeping service is also not quite good. I should call them three times to provide towels to my room. Slow service.
- There's lack of spots to hang our clothes in the bathroom. Ah ya, for me, it's quite strange to place refrigerator in toilet area. Pffft.
- i found many flies flying around dining room. Pffftt.
- not well maintained. Considering that this resort is still quite new, but i found many parts not well-maintained. The resort looks older than it should be. (Based on my point of view). Some facilities for adults like table tennis, etc are not quite maintained seriously.
- the room looks like a wedding room (kamar penganten) for me instead mongolian camp. I dont like how the room is designed.
- the air. You might be surprised that the air feels so hooooottt in the afternoon. You're also better to bring and wear sunglasses. Seriously hoooot and will make you sweaty. The air is not so fresh. Dont expect the air to be as fresh and cold as Lembang. Puncak is way much colder than this resort. Thus, the rooms are still equipped with AC.

Overall, hm...
This resort actually has a very good concept, but not executed well. Most importantly it is because the staffs are not professional. Their service, clothes and appearance are should be improved, immediately.
I also can say that this resort has very complete facilities, but all of them should be maintained very well. I personally wont ever go back to this resort. I know that the maintenance cost for this resort is very high, but there is no other way. Train your staffs and do good maintenance. You should also plant many many trees, flowers, etc.

Thank you!
