When you first arrive, you cannot tell how large this property is, but once you walk towards the back it has a super peaceful vibe. The pool is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are amazing. The coolest thing about this hotel is the privacy is it is able to provide for each room with a little garden area outside of the bedroom. It's great that you can keep the windows open to your garden and have lots of privacy. They refill your waters and fruits daily, which is really cool. The breakfast was one of our favorites as far as hotels go, with these delicious papaya and pineapple jams.
The staff is super friendly. The only thing we encountered was that our AC was a little loud the first couple of nights and leaking. We told the staff and they actually fixed it that same day, so they were super fast to get it working perfectly again. Do book a walk in the ridge - which is one of the free activities. Skip the birds... not that great. Unless you're into birds I guess. You have to pay for the viewing spot - I forget how much but it wasn't worth it.

This place is very central. Has some great restaurants and bars nearby definitely recommend "Honey and Smoke: across the road but you will need to book. Small details is that this place really looks after you with daily fruit platters and nuts. Breakfast was enough. As I said very central to everything. Our Villa room was beautiful and tranquil. We loved this place and highly recommend it.

Great location, full center of Ubud, everything is within walking distance. So it's noisy in the evening because concerts in bars nearby. Beautiful and spacious room, very large bathroom with shower and bathtub. Lack of lighting, proper cleanliness (except behind the nightstand), welcome product very well. Take care of your belongings because the monkeys come to your terrace at the end of the day, you also hear them running on the rooftops at night. Breakfast served at the correct table. The hotel is very centrally located between the Ubud Palace and the Monkey Forest. Lots of shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. No problem to get transport via Grab etc, there seems to be a public bus as well but we did not try it.
Rooms at the back of the resort are really quiet and offer a lot of privacy due to dividing walls and the garden setting. There are numerous steps and stairs, hence this place is not very accessible if you are mobility impaired.
Pool is nicely located but there are very few loungers and apparently no showers.
Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Plenty of mosquitoes but you are given nets and repellent. A lot of ants as the windows and doors can’t be fully closed. We had a few cockroaches in the bathroom, probably for the same reason. WIFI is weak, at least in the back of the resort. Plumbing is poor. AirCon very efficient if a bit noisy. Private plunge pool was nice.
Breakfast was freshly prepared and quite nice. Service is very friendly.
Value for money is OK.

Staff were friendly, amazing and accommodating, they also remembered our conversations and circumstances. Both bungalows were perfect with daily servicing and evening turn down with added treats. My husband and I stayed at 5 hotels during our honeymoon and this was definitely the nicest. We got one of the rooms with a private pool and it was AMAZING. The room was huge, there was fresh fruit provided, two lounge chairs by the pool, and a day bed outside by the fountain. And of course the pool itself was super nice. The hotel is pretty centrally located,the staff were helpful, and breakfast was tasty. Highly recommend!

Our first trip back to Bali after Covid. We finished our holiday with 3 nights at Barong Resort. From entering the resort we were warmly welcomed by the happy, friendly & attentive staff. We were very grateful for the high level of service throughout our stay. The a la carte breakfast had lots of selections. The three of us settled comfortably into our pool villa. Spacious rooms & outdoor lounging areas. We loved the thoughtful surprises left every day. Perfect location right in the centre, easy walking to many attractions. Very decent rooms, very nice place to feel relaxed. Bit noice in the front room at night due to neighbour playing loud music but still ok.
Breakfast is all good and good services. Room service is good and good stay for family. Beds were very comfy. Accommodated 2 adults and 1 kid of 12 years old. Provided us with extra full size bed. Mosquito net was good and French window was also relaxing. Close to Monkey forest, Ubud market and restaurants and Ubud palace. All close enough of 5-10 minutes walk only.

I have been to Bali many many times but this place is by far the worse I have ever seen and for over $200 AUD what a complete joke... This place should not be called a resort in any way....disgusting is what i call it....mould ridden, decrepit yuk yuk yuk !!! I wouldn't stay here again if it were free... we booked for 5 nights and checked out at 7 am the next morning... Coughed all night because of the mould spores spewing around the room. Only booked here because of the location and reviews but now i wonder where those reviewers have stayed before if they think this place is good in any way.
Over $200 AUD a night!!!! Should be more like $50 a night...

Walk was about 1hr very enjoyable not hard walking - we are at the Three Lonkrud but a couple of doors up are some authentic great local restaurants- I have a great restaurant on my Instagram lostinfrancais - 3 courses $3! Brilliant food
