Ubud Village Hotel emerges as a favorite for its prime location in the heart of Ubud, with guests frequently commending the proximity to local attractions. The hotel's ambiance offers a harmonious blend of luxury and cultural vibrancy, complete with a tranquil poolside retreat and engaging entertainment options. While the spacious and tidy rooms are celebrated, a few guests have noted issues with dampness and ambient noise. The array of breakfast choices and the exceptional service, highlighted by the friendly staff and complimentary afternoon tea, contribute to the hotel's perceived value, despite the occasional mention of maintenance and water cleanliness concerns.

Where to begin with our stay here, this hotel exceeded all our expectations from the moment we landed in the reception. Right from the very start the staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful in every way. We were greeted with a delicious welcome drink when we initially arrived. We had a deluxe suite with a view overlooking the pool below. The room itself was fantastic, very spacious and finished to a high standard with a large balcony which was like having a second room. Being our honeymoon they had petals arranged on our bed in the shape or a heart when we initially got to the room. The room cleaning service was excellent, with even our clothes we had scattered around the room being folded neatly.
Both the air conditioning in the room and the shower were both excellent and it was lovely to come into the room when we had enough of the high temperatures outside. We ate in both restaurants towards the front of the hotel, one had Mexican style food and the other had more Indonesian style, the food in both was lovely and washed down with Bintangs! We had a romantic rooftop dinner one night while there and that was a pretty special meal. We had the rooftop to ourselves where they had laid out candles all around the floor, some in the shape of a heart. We went for the Indonesian style menu and the food was delicious. In terms of location this hotel gives you a good base to explore Ubud as it’s quite central and has plenty of other bars and restaurants just a very short walk away. Also you have the Monkey forest just 10 to 15 minutes walk away and is a must do if you stay in the area.
All in I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough to anyone staying in the Ubud area, the staff are incredible as is the hotel and food. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we ever find ourselves in the area again!

Our family of four stayed in the hotel for nine days. We found the staff very charming, friendly and welcoming at all times.

The hotel room was very spacious and included a balcony

The complimentary breakfast was included and offered a good range of continental breakfast food including cooked food. The breakfast staff were very kind and helpful.

There were two swimming pools which I enjoyed swimming in daily. Most of the time the pools were empty which was helpful. The gym was fairly limited and two of the three exercise machines were out of order.

The hotel location is on Monkey Forest Road which is a convenient area with plenty of modest priced restaurants to choose from nearby.

Overall the hotel represented great value.

This hotel has been an amazing stay in Ubud,

The staff are super attentive, nothing is too much trouble. You are greeted very nicely every time you see a member of staff.

Breakfast is fantastic with a great choice of buffet selection as well as an al a cart menu to choose from (they are great and will generally cook anything you like)

The hotel grounds are spotless and the pools are very well kept with fresh water

Afternoon tea is included daily between 4-5pm, we didn’t make it unfortunately but be sure to head up to the top floor bar as it has amazing views,

Just outside the hotel they have a mexican restaurant that has lovely fresh food

The hotel is located on monkey forest road, perfect location for any tourist.... super quiet inside but directly on the main strip, literally no outside noise can be heard once in the hotel at all. Convenience store directly across from the hotel

The room was spotless with a gigantic shower and bed....

Overall the hotel felt more like a 5* rather than a 4. Hope to be back one day! Thank you so much 😊

We were very happy with our 9 nights stay - staff were all very friendly and their service excellent. They can speak English, but we also tried to use some Bahasa Indonesian language. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. We hired car with driver from the hotel which were very reasonably priced and very happy with our driver Agus(we requested repeat drives with him, very good driver and can speak English well). We were in the premium deluxe rooms which were a very good size. The daily breakfast which was included in our rate was excellent - lots of choices. I also like that the toiletries now come in household size containers which they re-fill if required (less plastic containers).

My partner and I just spent five lovely days at Ubud Village Hotel and our experience was amazing! The staff are so lovely and friendly and they made us feel so welcome, we felt like we were a part of this friendly family. Any request we had were fulfilled immediately.

Dewa and Desi particularly made us feel very welcome! They even surprised us with our bed and bathtub filled with flower petals which was so amazing and kind of them.

The rooms here are big and they have a very nice pool downstairs with delicious drinks served at the bar next to it.

The complimentary daily breakfast is so amazing, the chefs here really know what they are doing!

To top everything off we booked the candle light dinner one night for our anniversary and the lovely staff here went beyond our expectations and made our trip to bali much more amazing.

I highly recommend this place specially if you want to spoil yourself or loved ones.

Amazing staff and attention to detail. They brought out a cake for me on my birthday at breakfast (must have seen this from my passport at check in?) everyone says hello to you as you past them whether it be reception, cleaners, pool staff etc. 10 min walk to sanctuary and right on the main road - very quiet main road not hooty scooters. Please support the local taxi businesses and restaurants. Air conditioned gym is good as well, basic but good for work out. Very good air con doesn’t give sore throat or dry eyes. Fridge in room & mini mart over the road for water/drinks/food. Very happy with stay - stayed 4 nights

I really enjoyed my stay at this centrally located hotel. The rooms were simply furnished in a typical Balinese style, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was perfect. The pool and sunbed area was small but perfectly formed and a great place to wind down after a full day of sightseeing. The rooftop terrace was a pleasant surprise but we only visited once for the afternoon tea.
Would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Ubud due to its perfect location right in the heart of the resort centre, close to really beautiful local shops, bars and restaurants.

Wow! What great value our stay at Ubud Village Hotel was. It is a smaller full service hotel (74 rooms I believe), and we were treated like royalty.
The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the Ubud market and big temple (starts with an ‘S’), as well as the Monkey Forest. Within a 3 minute from the hotel, you will pass by places to get a massage, many restaurants and shops or convenience stores for buying cold drinks.
When we first arrived, we were greeted by genuine and personal attention, given a welcome drink in their comfortable lobby and doted over as they completed the check in process. We were 3 hours earlier than check in time but since a room was available, we were allowed to go straight to our ‘upgraded’ room.
The room was very recently done and had all necessary amenities and very modern design finishes. We also had a beautiful private furnished patio that was part of the upgrade. One thing that was a bit of a problem was that the room, even though it had a lot of lights, was a little dark. Maybe the bulbs needed to be bigger wattages?
The breakfast was a daily different assortment of delicious choices from a menu such as omelettes, eggs Benedict, smashed avocado toast, bacon, sausage, or ham and some Asian choices. Before that choice arrived, you would visit the cold buffet or breads, baking, fruit, cereals, salads and juices. The food and coffee was excellent, and service was outstanding. The breakfast restaurant was partly outside next to the beautifully landscaped and lush pool area.
Daily from 4:00-5:00, at the rooftop bar there was tea and small bites of baking offered complimentarily.
There is also a lobby lounge and pool bar with a food menu and happy hour from 3-6.
We had a problem with our safe, and someone was sent up within minutes after we requested help.
Every time we came back or left the hotel, we were greeted as if we were family. They even helped us learn a lot of basic Balinese terms.
I emailed the hotel, with questions, a couple times before I arrived and always got a response within a few hours.
Definitely stay here if you can afford it which many for sure can as compared to Australian or Canadian prices.

We were both really delighted with the Ubud Village hotel. Our room and the hotel were wonderfully styled, with the right mix of Bali ‘touches’ and modern conveniences. Dewa and the hotel team made us very welcome, and always greeted us with a smile - whether at 6am for our morning walk, or 11pm returning from dinner. Location is perfect, close to many of the best restaurants, walks and shopping so we were able to walk and avoid the Ubud traffic.

We stayed 28/2/20-3/3/20 for 4 nights. We had a deluxe king room. We loved this hotel. The room was large, well laid out and had a lovely peaceful feel. The bathroom was large with separate area for a large shower with raindrop head, toilet and bath plus large vanity area.
The safe was easy to use and conveniently located. The robes provided were large (which suited us as we are 'largish' people).
We used the spa a couple of times, went for a swim (the pool isn't deep but the setting is lovely, a few lounges and the pool water has minimal overhang so stays a nice temperature).
We had breakfast included in our accomodation and enjoyed the changing menu.
We took advantage of the complimentary afternoon tea twice upstairs on the roof top which was stunning.
Had dinner one night in the restaurant Maluku which we enjoyed.
The staff, all of the staff, that we met were very lovely, friendly and beautiful people. They welcomed us, engaged and were happy to help, very professional but also friendly.
We really enjoyed our time here and would happily come back. Very peaceful, well laid out and quiet.

Ubud is not close to any beach. It is in the hills about and hour or more from airport, Kuta Legian and other areas. Very beautiful area with paddy fields walks and many tourist things to do. Well worth a visit.
