At first, we received bedrooms on the ground floor, and we could only see a grey wall in front of us. It was utterly depressing and felt like a cave. As we stayed for 2 nights, we asked for an upgrade and paid extra to be on the upper floor and at least have some light as well as a view on the fields. The pools were nice, location was central, breakfast was ok. This being said, the cleanliness of the room was sub standard (hair on the floor, not mine) and the shower pressure was really poor. Considering the number of accommodations in Ubud, I'm sure you can find a better option.

Central Ubud Hotel near Ubud shopping area and very near from Monkey Forest. They offer a multitude of rooms , suites and Villas. We booked a villa with a private pool. I send several emails for the hotel to explain my disability and my requirements. Their answer was vague ; otherwise I would have changed my reservation. I was surprised with the difficulty to reach our Villa with a lot of stairs and slopes which were a difficult task for an elderly with crutches. The receptionist could not help in any other room. Next morning, we explored other options and agreed to be downgraded to a simple room with fewer steps and nearer to the reception and restaurant. They refused to offer refund for the accommodation ; they reluctantly offered Dinner voucher and Spa voucher which I believe were much less than we deserve for 4 nights difference.
The room was spacious with little patio. Furniture is very old and needs facelift. There was a big bathroom with toilet , stand shower , tub and two basins. Daily cleaning and shampoos were supplied. Unfortunately, there were facilities for the handicapped in any of the rooms.
Wi Fi is weak and slow, gets better as you get nearer to the reception
Breakfast was buffet , with mainly Indonesian dishes. The egg bar , cereals and fruits were acceptable for international guests.
Staff were helpful , cheerful and smiling.
There were a lot of insects especially mosquitos. Care from nearby monkeys to hide food and keep windows and doors closed.
We tried dinner and lunch with limited options and not the best quality.
Also, Spa staff were not up to the standards.
Nearby shopping area offer a lot of choices , minimarkets , restaurants and Spas.

Pension ideally located right next to the monkey forest. 2 beautiful pools , breakfast with variety and choice. On the other hand, large room , but which deserves a refreshment (air conditioning, bathroom joint ), pleasant staff, smiling , polite .
monkeys can sometimes be very or too present and can prevent enjoying the terrace.

The hotel is located in the center of Ubud, close to many cafes, a souvenir market and a monkey forest.
There are two swimming pools with sun loungers on the territory.
The room has a TV, no safe, toothbrush with toothpaste, soap, kettle with tea and coffee, refrigerator and water. Toiletries and water are replenished daily.
The breakfasts are delicious. Tea, coffee, pastries, pasta, vegetables, chicken, bacon and juices.

The villa room was absolutely beautiful, Balinese style with huge bathroom and private swimming pool. Very clean! Very friendly staff and our tour guide/driver Dewa from the hotel was very kind, accomodating to all the places we wanted to visit and brought us to great restaurant spots! Thanks again, Gaelle & Roberto

The Champlung Sari is a great hotel at a Budget or 5 star price, depending on what you need.
We had the Private Villa with our own pool, this was an awesome experience with 150m sq Villa, our pool was a little cold due too lack of Sun on it.
The main pool in the resort was great, the Staff were great and very friendly.
The position is very close to Monkey Forest, markets and all facilities as it’s in the main area of Ubud, at the time there were rooms from $50 - $200 so take pick what you want, a Yes from me

The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, the showers were warm, the front desk was great (they kept my bags for me so that I could explore Ubud before check-in time) and the breakfast spread was all you could ask for, including an omelette station. You’re a two-minute walk away from the monkey forest, so be prepared to see a monkey on your balcony sometimes or on the grounds. The staff tries to chase them away but they come back. I found this to be quite charming. There’s convenience stores right next door and you’re maybe a 10-minute walk from Ubud centre. An excellent choice for a value property.

Very dissapointed as this place had good reviews. The grounds and pool area were nice. Fantastic massage. But the rooms are very average, and in need of a make over. The shower heads need to be replaced as it only spits out water and most of the time no water pressure. The food is very average, breakfast very basic and the cocktails taste like rocket fuel not pleasant.

30 min walk were in our 60s or ask the taxi boys who sit outside the mini mart they can take you up there for 70thou $7 (you can barta for 50thou) aussie money worth it as it is up hill. Then easy walk down hill. Ask them to take you to BINTANG SUPERMARKET OR COCOS SUPERMARKET cheap food and especially the souveniers. CHEAP Go there before you go to ubud markets you will see how they try to rip you off. Wife and i had lot of fun with Mario and Augusto and the other lads. All taxi drivers. Very honest men
