Elegant hotel located on the main street. The hotel service both at the reception (like Angga Agung) and in the restaurant is at the highest level - polite, nice and helpful. Very large, comfortable rooms, nicely furnished, with a wide and comfortable bed. Air-conditioned rooms, equipped with everything useful even for a longer stay, such as: fridge, flat-screen TV, safe, tea and coffee making set, hair dryer, etc. Large, nicely decorated bathroom with a shower cabin and daily replenished cleaning products. Very tasty breakfasts in a spacious restaurant overlooking the swimming pool. Breakfast in the form of the Swedish buffet with a very wide selection of dishes, drinks and desserts, including: eggs prepared according to individual preferences on request. Discreet waiter service during breakfast.
Rooms on the upper floors with a large balcony overlooking the inner courtyard with a large swimming pool. Rooms on the ground floor with a terrace and access to the swimming pool. Quite a large swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers, umbrellas and tables. While at the swimming pool, you can also take advantage of the wide offer of the restaurant and bar.
The only disadvantage of the hotel is its location relatively far from the beach and on the main busy street, although street noise does not reach the hotel rooms. The inconvenience is that we have to walk quite a long distance along this street on a bumpy and holey sidewalk when we go to the beach or to a restaurant in the city and then return to the hotel. It's about 1,200 m to the sea, of which over 1/2 you have to walk along this street.
The hotel offers free transport to the beach by car, but only twice a day and only in one direction.

Location is good. I was here to experience a tennis camp at Liga Academy across the road, an excellent facility, professionally run. Noise from the main road wasn't an issue, crossing was challenging. . There are quality cafes, Joglo, and, Cafe Mural close by, with the restaurants Naughty Nuri's, and, The Hub. A medical centre with pharmacy, physiotherapist is just down the road. The closet ATM is near a Mini Mart, and, McDonalds five minutes, up the road , fifteen to the beach promenade. The rooms were big, and, spacious, regularly cleaned, serviced, water bottles replaced every day. The staff were always efficient, courteous, with a big Balinese smile. The breakfast buffet although an extra charge, had many options to choose from. and, was good value. On my last day the room suffered water damage, and, flooding. I have to thanks Kusama the Maintenance Manager who arranged another room for me to rest up, and, refresh after check out, while I waited for my transport to Denpasar Airport to catch my early evening flight home.

From booking to checkout, everything went smoothly. All correspondence was acted upon in the most professional manner, especially with the assistance of Ms Reny. She enabled us to have the most pleasant stay, arranging shuttle service from airport to hotel and making last minute changes due to delays with ease. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in Indonesia. It wasn't necessary to look for lunch later! Looking forward to when we can come again. Would recommend to anybody who wants to be in a safe pair of hands.

My 19 yo son had a pickle ball tournament in Sanur. We booked a family room (interconnecting) with a king sized bed and 2 single beds at the Grand Palace Hotel. The location was ideal as the pickle ball centre was directly opposite the hotel.
We were impressed with the rooms, facilities and breakfast. Although the mini fridge could have been a bit colder as our drinks were not cold at all. Staff were very friendly and courteous. They would go out of their way to assist you - nothing is too hard for them. It’s about 15 mins walk to the beach and there were plenty of restaurants along the way. The footpaths were uneven so need to be careful. Crossing the road was a nightmare but we soon got the hang of it after a few days.
Overall we will definitely stay here again for our future visits.

The room was big but sterile. We were not put 8n room we booked, they changed us to another room but took 3 days to change twin beds to double bed. Breakfast was dreadful, all Asian food and westerners all complained by the pool at how bad, so much so we did not dine here lunch or evening. Pool was very nice, gym only broken machinery. Staff need customer service training. Do not book a car through hotel, if something goes wrong they will not stick up for you the customer. Has potential but at the moment cannot reccomend.

Booked 2 rooms: family and pool view. Family room was okay although the aircon wasn’t great. The pool view room is where we had issue. Booked twin: got 1 bed. Okay could deal with that for 1 night. After pulling back sheets there were blood stains, make up stains and hair IN the bed. Rubbish in bathroom bin, hair on floor and broken hair tie under day bed/couch. 30mins after calling reception house keeping came and removed blanket sheet but left others. Didn’t come back until I went down to reception to complain and requested that they come see room for themselves. As I felt this room was not cleaned and unsafe for my daughter & sister who were staying in this room I requested a room change. After seeing the condition herself she apologized and agreed. Not fun after a full day of travel to move room late at night. They offered compensation but didn’t provide any. They offered to follow up and contact me regarding issues raised. I waited 7 days before contacting them again to discuss. I did get a phone call 10 days after stay with another apology but told that the room change was considered by them an “upgrade” and compensation. They were moved to a twin room no pool view. Not what was paid for.

No welcome drink, breakfast average- had to ask for bacon. 3 pieces given for a family of 5. They had conference going the night we arrived. Very noisy and more attention given to those guests. The hotel looks lovely from a distance but not up close. Wasn’t expecting 5 star but was expecting clean room and the normal friendly Bali hospitality. Didn’t get either.

The pictures on bookings are very misleading Room
Fridge blows hot hair and is not cold at all
Aircon struggles, even on the highest settings and is loud
Menu dirty, room dusty
The pictures on bookings make it look like a tranquil private garden which is certainly not the case.
Area to store the suitcase is only big enough for 2 backpacks. Out normal size suitcase did not fit

Staff inattentive and slow even when the restaurant only had 3 couples
Demanding a bond of $500 for a three night stay making us feel like criminals that would not pay our bill
Cocktails well below average and while the breakfast was alright the satay was inedible, plus they tried to charge for a meal that they did not bring out.

Pool is shallow all the way along, only waist height.

Not the relaxing retreat that we were expecting for our last 3 nights and definitely a massive step down from our last hotel that was a third of the price. Disappointing

Cannot fault this hotel
The rooms are lovely, clean & spacious, bed comfortable & huge, even comfy pillows.
We had a pool access room which was great, but our teenage kids were in a nearby ground floor room which was equally as good.
The foyer, layout & amenities are modern and luxurious
We used the day spa which was offering a special couples massage for 500K per couple
The only drawback is the location.
The hotel is located on a very busy road which you have to walk along to get anywhere. We did eventually establish the quickest route to the shops & beach (about 10mins) but it still meant navigating a short stretch of this road which is poorly constructed even by Bali standards so there are plenty of holes & hazards to avoid.
Definitely recommend the hotel if not the location. Do not be tempted however, to visit the large restaurant across the street. It is definitely not worth the death-defying feat of crossing the road!!

We stayed for 6 nights in an executive suite with pool access purely to relax and unwind and that's exactly what we did. Although the hotel is on the main road there is no noise at all. The staff are very attentive and the breakfast was plentiful. The beach is only a ten minute walk with warungs along the way. I believe there is a shuttle to the beach but it wasn't needed. The road is busy but we felt comfortable with the walk.

Booked and paid up front for a 10 day stay at this hotel. Our first time in Bali. On arrival we were shocked at the level of road noise penetrating the hotel. Hotel is grubby and very rough around its edges. Not what we had hoped for. Our luggage had been left behind in K.L. so we asked at reception how do we cross over the main road to go for a walk. Was told to walk left to the junction and run across when there is a gap. As we did not want to die just yet we declined.
Checked our room. All the bedding was stained, pillows, pillow cases, sheets and duvet and towels. Housekeeping came to change the bedding and after 5 deliveries of linen all were declined by staff members as stained. Eventually got the bed made still with stained sheets.
Went to dinner. Most of the dishes were empty. Obviously not replenished once empty. Our food was cold we asked for it to be reheated but got shrugged shoulders!
Re united with our cases late that evening. Decided to check out next day. Was told at reception that no way would we get a refund and we haven't.
Extremely disappointed with the condition of this hotel should be a 2 star not 4. The attitude of the reception staff was very poor.
