This resort is a definite must! The staff was very nice, always had a smile on their face (even the cleaning staff). You get a so called butler who is responsible for your well-being during the stay which sounds fancy but is basically one specific person from the front desk who will help you, but it is nice to be recognized with your name and be asked how your day was or what is planned etc. Our butler Ketut was always asking if everything is okay and if we needed anything. He was very attentive and solved any problem we had within a few minutes (our hair dryer wasn’t working, dinner bookings etc).
They have a daily afternoon tea which is included in the package with a classic version or an Asian version (with Indonesian treats) that gets served in a three tier set, and all-you-can-drink including cocktails. You should get there as soon as it starts as it gets very crowded but definitely a must because it’s very tasty.
The breakfast a la carte was interesting as you could order whatever you want in whatever quantity (you get so full at the end) and had so many choices we couldn’t try everything in 4 days. The food was good, the juices very refreshing and tasty, and the staff just amazing.
With half board we could dine at the Edogin (Japanese), Table8 (Chinese) or The Cafe (international buffet), and we definitely recommend the Edogin. The food was amazing, with good sashimi (the tuna was very good, opinion from a Japanese) and other Japanese delicacies, and a grill buffet where you can choose what the grill master cooks for you. Our waitress Nadya was super nice, had a very contagious smile and was very attentive. The international buffet at The Cafe was not bad but the place was crowded, the food not overly amazing, although the dessert room deserves more credit with so many choices.
The Earl suite was very comfy, very big, and very nice. Two toilets (!), a big shower and a big bathtub, a jacuzzi, and a huge balcony. The cleaning staff also was very nice, giving you complimentary drinking water as much as you want twice a day (or just call your butler for more!).
The only downside was, there were a lot of ants. There was an ant street inside the closet which continued into the bathroom, and ants walked on our clothes and baggage in search of food that was not there.
The spa was relaxing but to be honest a bit too pricey. We tried it once and the staff was very friendly and the Balinese massage felt so good that both my husband and me fell asleep but the price was too high to go there twice.
All in all the stay was so comfortable that we decided to just stay at the resort without doing any sightseeing and just relax, eat, and get pampered.
The resort is expensive but I think you can get your money’s worth there.

Btw I recommend to stay at The Mulia or Mulia villa (not the Mulia resort) as you have more access to different lounges, the afternoon tea, and a less crowded pool. And the staff at the entrance of The Mulia was more friendly than at Mulia resorts.

The Mulia has exceeded our expectations in the best way possible, in more ways than I can express in this review.

The package included daily buffet breakfast at The Café or the Lounge, daily afternoon tea at The Lounge 4-6pm, $100 AUD for lunch/dinner at selected restaurants, 1 free buffet dinner at The Cafè and 1 free buffet dinner at Table 8 for 5 nights.

Book The Mulia if you don’t plan on going outside Nusa Dua and you want the ultimate Heaven on Earth experience.

Food:
The Cafè offered a wide selection of cuisines during breakfast and dinner. You can choose from western, Indian, Indonesian, Chinese, Korean and Japanese options. The desserts ranged from croissants, gelato, crepes, cakes, cupcakes, fruit and so much more.
The buffet breakfast is what I looked forward to every day! Everything was scrumptious and everything was fresh. You have to pace yourself so you can taste everything! Nothing could disappoint! They walk around with coffee and tea but also offer your typical latte and cappuccinos and milk selections.
The buffet dinner was equally the same which also included seafood and live pasta cooking.
If it’s busy, the service isn’t always one on one but that’s not what you want when all you want to do is eat and eat!

The breakfast at The Lounge has a semi buffet option but allows for one on one service from an A La Carte menu. If you prefer being seated the whole time with one on one service in the morning then this is the place for breakfast! Otherwise, get some steps in you and do the buffet breakfast for a wider range.
The afternoon tea at The Lounge has a beautiful concept of high tea and daily live cooking that included smalls bowls of ramen, burritos and churros etc. The high tea was a choice between Indonesian and Western, please try both! I preferred the Indonesian high tea over the Western one due to range of flavour and texture. The chocolate cake in the Western though tasted amazing!

Table 8 offered clay pot selections, live stir fries of your choice, soups, the best fried rice I’ve ever tasted and a small selection of desserts like fruits and gelato.
I didn’t feel like doing my steps that night so Monika provided us a range of dishes, paying utmost attention to dietary requirements.
It’s best to choose times around 7.30-8pm or later if you prefer to avoid peak times and indulge on one on one service in a relaxed environment.
Thank you Monika for having us, your service was friendly, kind and a delight.

Soleil offers a wide range of food at reasonable prices!
There’s a lovely view of the pool and the beach. We ate here many times for lunch and loved the mixture of flavours!
They also offered a Sunday brunch, including seafood for $90 - worth every buck!

Environment:
The landscape is made up of lush greenery that expands over many acres of land that’s well maintained.
Due to the size of the resort you require a buggy to travel between areas allowing you to see the workers trimming and mowing to keep the garden pristine. Make sure you get a tour from your butler as soon as you get there so you can fully appreciate the beauty. They offer five pools! Depending where you stay, you can visit all five or stay in the main pool. All five are beautiful! But the vibe in front of Soleil was the best!

Suites:
There is more marble than wood in the rooms to create an elegant and luxurious design. The pillows were almost my size, the king bed wasn’t two beds squashed together and they didn’t have useless sheets - they had a quilt! It was all soft and buttery as if you were sleeping on a clouds.
They provided a replenishment of fruit, milk and coffee.
The toilet seats automatically open with a bidet and the raining shower head (with back jets) was exquisite!
The room was absolutely stunning and it’s the most fanciest room we’ve ever stayed in!

Spa:
The spa was sublime - expensive but worth it. Do the Wellness Suite for an hour! It included a sauna, infrared steam room and a cryotherapy room. I also did an Asian Blend massage that was relaxing and precise and worth more than three cheap massages combined.

Service:
The service was incredibly friendly and attentive - however the Mulia Suites Team was absolutely faultless.
Throughout the day we were greeted by different people, but they all knew who we were and what we were up to. “How was your breakfast?” “How was your massage?” “How was your dinner?” To some it might be overkill, but the attention to detail to their guests was incredible and out of this world! To feel familiar and welcomed through out our whole stay was important and felt more so when I felt ill one day. The staff continually asked if I was okay and provided tea to the room, during lunch and during dinner depending where I was eating.

I want to specially thank Debi, Amellia, Adi, Edy, Gibran and Faisal for their exceptional service and making our stay a memorable one.

This place is on another level from most hotels and resorts. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Our 5 night stay bought through Luxury escapes was absolutely fabulous. We stayed at The Mulia which only has suites. They also offer the resort which has rooms and the Mulia villas which has multiple bedroom options.
On arrival we were escorted to our suite and shown how everything works. The balcony had a hot tub and a double daybed. The 2 toilets will be missed they automatically open the lid when approached and have a heated seat. Lol. Beds and pillows comply. 2 TV's and quality furniture.
Breakfast was included and could be had at the lounge which was a la carte and the Cafe up at the resort. We preferred the lounge as it was quiet and the service was impeccable. Choice at both places was extensive. Dinner was available as a buffet and there were an Italian and Chinese restaurant too. All were great
Lastly I want to stress that the staff's attention to detail was incredible and certainly beyond anything I have experience at other 5 star hotels. We were made to feel special and valued as guests. The butlers were amazing, especially our 3rd floor butler who was more than happy to book restaurants and taxis ect. I really should have brought a note pad to write down names so I apologise for not providing them individually.
Afternoon tea was part of the package and for 2hrs each afternoon we endulged in savoury and sweet items accompanied by cocktails or any other drink we liked. Be prepared to put on weight! Entertainment was also provided.
We sadly said goodbye and were presented with a box of chocolates from The Mulia. As I said at the beginning this place is on another level. We will be back.

The Mulia suite was good very comfortable bed nice shower and amenities however lighting was poor in the bathroom. House keeping did not clean the floor we stayed 6 nights we saw them run a dry mop over it no vacuuming no clean wet mop with disinfectant so we wore slippers in the room. The towels were often ratty and worn they need to buy new bath towels. We dined at all the buffets on property each time right on opening time it was disappointing the at the food that was ment to be hot was cold. The server staff were all lovely it was sad they had to keep giving everyone survey cards to fill out at the end of the meal it became very annoying. Edo gin Japanese restaurant was they only one we kept going back to because manager and team of staff and chefs were all very confident and all the food was served fresh and hot and then was of great quality. We will write a separate review for that restaurant. There are much better property’s close by with better hygiene standards that offer services of higher quality at a lower price and they don’t harass you for a review every day.

We booked a 5-night stay at The Mulia but checked out after just 2 nights. While the property is undoubtedly beautiful, it didn’t meet our expectations as a family-friendly resort, especially after staying at The Padma Legion, which was lovely and catered so well to families.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was that the hotel couldn’t accommodate an extra bed for our 4-year-old, despite children being allowed to stay in the room at no additional charge. The expectation was for children to sleep in the same bed as the parents, which wasn’t ideal for us.

The property itself is huge but feels like a maze and isn’t particularly well signed. Most of the amenities are part of The Mulia Resort rather than The Mulia Suites, which meant we often had to exit and re-enter the property to access facilities. This added to the inconvenience, especially when traveling with a child.

The hotel grounds are stunning but massive, and the kids’ club is located on the other side of the property in The Mulia Resort. We’re not ones to leave our child in kids’ club all day—just for a few hours—but the distance made this impractical.

Finding shaded daybeds around the pool was another challenge. Guests reserved them early in the morning by leaving personal belongings and then heading to breakfast or other activities. We attempted to secure a daybed with shade by 7:30 a.m. in the shared pool area with Mulia Resort but were unsuccessful, even though the pool itself was almost empty at the time.

The restaurants had lovely food overall. Breakfast is à la carte, which we appreciated, but the service was slow on both mornings, which was difficult with a hungry 4-year-old in tow.

The pools, while visually impressive, were not child-friendly. They’re very large, and our son couldn’t touch the bottom or swim to the edge given the size, which made it difficult for us to relax while he played.

Overall, The Mulia is a beautiful resort, but it’s not designed with families in mind. We requested a partial refund for the remaining nights of our stay, but this was denied. While the hotel was within its rights, given we booked a non-refundable rate, a partial refund would have been a thoughtful gesture considering our experience.

For families traveling with young children, I’d recommend considering other resorts that are better equipped to accommodate little ones.

Dear JBGotto, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your stay with us. We regret to hear that we did not meet your expectations as a family-friendly resort. We greatly appreciate your insights, particularly regarding the extra bed arrangement, accessibility to facilities, and pool suitability for children. These areas will be reviewed to identify opportunities for improvement. We also regret the inconvenience caused by difficulties in securing shaded daybeds and the slower breakfast service that may have added to your challenges. The Mulia was an absolute dream destination. We traveled as a family (myself, partner and toddler, plus my parents) we all walked away feeling relaxed, refreshed and pampered.

The hotel buildings are palatial, with grand proportions and beautiful decor throughout. The same is true of the rooms; we stayed in the Earl Suite, which was huge and well appointed with an excellent shower (complete with massage jets), two Japanese-style "smart" toilets and a balcony Jacuzzi.

The food was excellent throughout our stay. The buffets for breakfast and dinner had abundant choices, and the a la carte dining was equally delicious. Breakfast in the Lounge offered beautifully presented dishes to start the day, and the complimentary afternoon tea and cocktails included in our accommodation package were generous.

The facilities are excellent. We took advantage of yoga in the mornings, the Kid's Club and the various pools around the property. All were fantastic. We were struck by how quiet everything was, despite the large number of guests - for example, it was easy to find a deck chair by the pool side no matter the time of day. Even at peak hour during breakfast, it didn't take long to be seated, have our order taken and our meals served.

A special mention to the amazing staff. From remembering each of our names and room numbers, to offering menu suggestions based on our preferences and interests, to taking a genuine delight in interacting with our toddler, the staff went above and beyond to make our trip special and help us feel as though we were the only customers staying there. Can't wait until our next visit!

One of the best luxury resorts stay I've had in my life. The Mulia is simply grand opulence and we would go back over and over again!

Travelling with a 7 month old, we booked a 7 night stay in an Earl Garden Suite and The Mulia blew us away with the personal service, food and the most gorgeous beachfront location.

Staff from restaurants, housekeeping, butler, lifeguard, pool and beach side attendants, and concierge were all so accommodating and impeccable with their level of service. Definitely the famous balinese hospitality. A cot was prepared for our room, and they even offered a steam sanitiser for our baby's bottles.

Food was bountiful and varied. There was never a fear of going hungry! Whether it was buffet or ala carte, it was exceptional particularly at The Lounge for breakfast, Soleil's famous Sunday brunch, and at our dinners at Table8 and Edogin.

Lastly, the resort itself. The iconic Oasis pool flowing on to a beautiful and quiet beachfront was the cherry on top. Given this section was reserved only for guests of The Mulia and the Mulia Villas, we always had our pick of sunbeds at the beach or a poolside cabana. Unlike the busy beachsides in Kuta and Seminyak, it was pure quiet bliss at The Mulia!

For those who gym - the most impressive resort gym I've encountered. Large array of Smith machines and dumbells that maxed out at 50kg. Honestly better than the gym I'm paying membership for back in Melbourne.

Definitely and highly recommended if you want pure beachside bliss and luxury!

Stunning views with impeccable service. Massive resort incorporating too many places and restaurants to visit. We've stayed at the Earl Beachfront view, located within The Mulia Suite, positioned between the iconic Oasis Pool lady statues viewing the Indian Ocean. Being a guest at the Muila Suite gave us immediate priority to access the complete facility, where the Mulia resort was limited.

We had a personal butler throughout our stay, who transported us around the complete resort via a buggy upon our request, assisting with the organisation of restaurant bookings and room requests. Any discrepancies were addressed and resolved.
It's immediately apparent that the Mulia were deeply focused on providing the best customer service and experience, which they passed in flying colours.

Dined in our favourite restaurant, Soleil, and the following morning, breakfast at The Lounge.

Everyone from the entrance lobby, restaurant, and lifeguards to cleaners were very friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed the pools, such as the Oasis Pool, drinking crispy cool Bingtangs at the Ocean pool, and a morning dip at the Aqua Pool.

The amazing experience would not be without the support and paramount customer service from Adi and Debi (number 1), who were our personal butlers.

Thank you very much for giving us a lifetime memory at the Mulia.

Regards Vedat & Merlinda.

Make a last-day review at Dasoria Suites. The room was really spacious, clean and comfortable, so I did it every day. Breakfast in Douro is really delicious. The view is really good, so you can eat while looking at the oasis pool view. Breakfast can be ordered one by one menu and each one is delicious! The Koreans are really strong in training!
The pool is well managed, and we asked for a servicing service and took care of it so we could enjoy swimming. PRASETYA, a safety officer, is kind to guide you and will leave to swim with pleasure.

This was a fantastic experience for my wife and I. It was the perfect honeymoon for us. My wife isn't much of a swimmer thus we chose this location instead of Maldives or Hawaii or other popular destinations. I do not regret this decision in the slightest and would still choose this over going to maldives or hawaii any day. I did lots of swimming at both the peaceful beach and the amazing swimming pools. It was fantastic and I highly recommend it. The gym is incredible for a hotel gym, all the equipment is new, the range of equipment was great and feels like going to a new modern completely fitted local gym with all the amenities and more. Staff there were very accommodating too.
The hotel lives up to its reputation and the staff are amazing overall. The airport transport service is incredible makes you feel like a VIP. All of the butlers provided service that was above and beyond (Agus and Yuni were both exceptional for us). The in-room dining staff and the food selection was great as well. Breakfast and afternoon tea were both incredible at the Lounge, (Pande and Gusman provided great service and are memorable, there were others as well). Food was fancy, think lots of fine dining. Having the cafe as a secondary choice for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner also made things interesting and we never got bored. I highly recommed the deserts as they all tasted as if they have a world class patissier running the kitchen. Solei for Sunday brunch was world class as well and dinner there is also very good.
We also did the couples massage session at the mulia spa twice and that too was worth the money and was an incredible experience for us. They even provide a private steamroom, sauna and iceroom for couples prior to the message session.
All of the rooms at the mulia are good and give off a feeling luxury especially the huge bathroom. We were lucky enough to secure a beach front on the third floor up with our private jacuzzi on the balcony. It was worth every dollar spent. Laundry service has a cost but after you get it done you realise why it cost what it does, clothes comes back packaged nicely as if they're presenting you with new clothes and comes back in a quick timeframe even without the express service. I recommend using the laundry service it is worthwhile.
We had a great time and was able to organise a private charter (our own driver) to escort us and show us the real bali and go shopping too at popular destinations on the island.
We highly recommend the mulia and would visit again for sure. It is good for both couples or families.
Thank you to all the staff at the mulia for your great service and ensuring that we had a good stay!

Dear jojo292018, Thank you for considering The Mulia for your stay in Bali. The Mulia is a family-friendly resort, which means there may be a lively atmosphere at times, especially in common areas. While our suites and villas offer a more private space, noise levels can vary depending on the resort's overall environment, especially during busier periods. However, we are committed to ensuring your comfort, and our team is always happy to assist with any special requests to help make your stay as peaceful as possible. If you have any specific needs or concerns, please feel free to let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate them. We hope to welcome you to The Mulia soon!
