The Grand Hyatt Bali garners praise for its splendid amenities, including lush gardens, multiple pools, and a variety of dining options, all complemented by a beachfront setting ideal for family activities. While the spacious rooms and Balinese-inspired atmosphere are appreciated, some guests suggest updates are needed. The hotel's location is celebrated for its scenic views, though its seclusion receives mixed reactions. Guests commend the cleanliness and the warm service, but opinions on value vary, with some finding certain services overpriced.

An exceptional, exclusive & beautifully-landscaped Resort. Ideal for both Couples & Families, because of its size and many seperate facilities. We booked the Club Access which included Breakfasts & Evening Aperitifs / Drinks, which essentially covered all meals. Main Restaurants are relatively expensive, but Casual Snacks & Bistro (Salsa Verde) represent good value for the exclusive location.

The Grand Hyatt is a curated experience. allowing you to escape the crowds and provides great safety & peace-of-mind in its secluded Nusa Dua Location. The Beach in front of the Hotel is world-class, and again exclusive, with many lounge-chairs and handy serving staff for drinks or snacks. Nearby Blow Hole and other attractions (Bali Collection shopping) again insulate you from the full-on crowds & nuisance hawkers. (Some designated hawkers allowed in the Hyatt area, but they are not too much of a problem)

Hotel rooms (Club Ocean View; 4th Floor is highly recommended) are excellent, although the bathroom/toilet was less than perfect in lay-out, and there was a slight odour throughout, but not terrible, esp. when door closed. Overall Hyatt Club Access is the way to go.

Hotel services are all very good, e.g. Car to & from the Airport at ~US$25 is excellent value and provides a safe, easy, bespoke experience.

Had a very enjoyable 14-night stay, and the ideal break as we only wanted isolation, great food/amenities and total relaxation. 10-out-of-10

We travelled to the Grand Hyatt in January and on arrival we were pleased to be greeted with a cold drink and a cold hand towel as it was very humid. Unfortunately we were then required to wait until the check in time (we were two hours early) but the Hyatt did provide us with a drink voucher each (the mocktails were delicious). When we did get into the room I thought it had a very strong cleaning products odour and I was horrified to find splashed blood on the inside of the toilet door. In all fairness it would have been difficult for the housekeeping staff to see with the pattern used on the glass. Unfortunately we also found brown stains (eek!!) on our fresh towels. On a positive note the grounds and pools are incredibly beautiful and our kids loved the waterslide. Food around the pool is delicious and reasonably priced for Nusa Dua. The location of the hotel is perfect for having a walk along the beach or to visit Bali Collection. We found the breakfast buffet to be just ok as it was swarming with flies at both locations (mango season apparently) and the scrambled eggs were very very raw so we could not eat them. Once we arrived home I reviewed our reservation and we had booked a package with Hotels.com which entitled to spa treatments and a cultural dinner (for both of the rooms we booked). We were not made aware of this by the check in staff which was very disappointing. Despite this I would recommend the Grand Hyatt as it is a beautiful hotel with very attentive staff.

Grand Hyatt Bali:
Time to say good bye to this gorgeous hotel. We stayed here 3.5 years ago for the first time and fell in love with it then, so when Luxury Escapes had the deal again last year we knew we had to book again.

Grand Hyatt is located in a beautiful part of Bali called Nusa Dua. It is in a section of 5 star resorts on the beach front.
We were treated to 3 dinners, 1 lunch, 8 x cocktails each adult and 2 x 30 minute massages in the beautiful Kriya Spa.

On check in the staff were so lovely and very accomodating. We gave our bags over, checked in and went to have lunch at Bali Collections as we arrived early and the room was not ready.
We came back about 2pm and we were given vouchers to a bar at the lobby to have a drink as the room still was not ready. We did not expect this as check in is at 3pm so we had no issues in just waiting but the staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.

We had a dinner at Salsa Verde which is italian based, steak and seafood dinner at Garden Cafe which was a set menu with the most delicious steak and also a lunch at Salsa Verde with indonesion delights. I can highly recommend the beef redang here.
During these meals the kids were given a kids menu with meals starting at $7 AUD which you pay for.
The last dinner was at Pasar Sengol which is a buffet dinner with a cultural show. We had ours moved to the Watercourt Restuarant which was beautiful.
All of the meals were first class and could not be faulted.

My daughter and I booked into the Kriya spa for our 30 minute foot massages. The staff were so amazing with great service. As my daughter is small they ended up spoiling her with a 30 minute full body massage instead.
As you arrive you are greated with an iced tea and a cold towel then taken off to a villa. It is there you are pampered and then given a bracelet with aromatherapy oil to wear and take home with you. After the massage you are taken to a rest area and given a ginger tea and biscuit to finish your experience.

The hotel itself is massive so expect to be walking alot. We were lucky to be given a spot just a short walk to the beach. The beach was so clear and amazing to have a swim in, but the favourite place of the hotel was the natural looking pool with the waterslide. We spent everyday in the pool and going down the waterslide.

My husband loves the Gym & Wellness Centre.
The gym has a mix of cardio machine, free weights, weight machines and a workout studio. The wellness centre has a sauna, steam room, cold plunge pool, jacuzzi and private outdoor pool where kids are not allowed. When he went missing, this is where he could be found.

Located just out the front entrance of the hotel is an outdoor shopping mall called Bali Collections which have restaurants, retail shops, massage places, hairdressers and souveniers.

We stayed for 8 nights with our children aged 8 & 5 in one of the standard rooms. This room was great as the day bed within room was able to be made into bed which fitted both kids. Rooms were of a good size and very clean.
Hotel grounds were absolutely stunning and very well maintained and clean, including the pool. Our kids loved the pools although we found the lagoon pool a little too warm. Waterslide was a hit and also well maintained. Staff throughout resort were all very friendly and helpful.
Resort is massive but we were lucky to be there in low season and unfortunately at the beginning of the covid-19 crisis (which on another note was managed very well by the hotel) and I would imagine in peak season it would probably be very chaotic and less enjoyable.
The only negative of this resort was the food - we didn’t have breakfast included in our rate but had one breakfast in garden cafe and not only was it super expensive but not great variety for the price we paid. Pool side bar was limited but the quality was good and only slightly more expensive than out of resort. The rooftop bar was lovely and drinks reasonably priced for a resort. The best options for meals are either across road at Bali Collection (5 min walk), along beach just out of resort or just outside of the ITDC main gates (most restaurants will provide transport).
Kids club was also very good - as it was very quiet our kids were lucky enough to be only ones there so the variety of activities may of been less, nevertheless it was very clean, lovely staff and a good variety of activities.
In summary, highly recommend this resort to families but probably only if traveling in quieter periods as due to size of resort if would be very busy in peak period.

Our first visit to Bali and we cannot praise the Grand Hyatt Nusa Du enough after a spectacular 8 night stay to celebrate a special birthday. With our family group of 13, ranging in ages from 7 to 72 it could have been a logistical nightmare however the staff were exemplary in their attention. From the initial check in, to the wait staff to cleaning staff , everyone expressed a friendly welcome at all times.

Our 6 rooms were close by on the ground floor, over looking beautiful water lily ponds with wildlife in and around. We could sit on our balcony and relax in its tranquility. Rooms were large with an extra day bed. The bathrooms were spacious and good pressure. Learnt the hard way that the hot water needs the main power switched on. The AC could be adjusted to individual needs.

Our package through Luxury Escapes included buffet breakfasts, nightly cocktails, Spa massages, and complimentary dinner/lunch packages

We chose the Watercourt Restaurant for breakfasts for its Balinese atmosphere. Our favourite evening meals were at the Italian Salsa Verde (where the staff showed their great patience and delivered the exact ordered dishes to the right people) The Balinese cultural buffet dinner was a feast. We had nightly cocktails in the gardens above the Verde at the Salsa Bar where light meals could also be ordered. A quiet spot to see the sun go down with magnificent garden and ocean views.

January is obviously the hottest time to visit so we all loved the pools – the Lagoon being the favourite with its waterslides. Pool side service was great with a good selection of food and drinks. Several hired bikes and rode around the coast jumping into the ocean to cool off.

This is a huge complex so be prepared for lots of walking in very hot conditions.

Thank you Grand Hyatt for helping us create some amazing family memories.

This our first time in Bali and I genuinely don't think we could have picked a better hotel.

The rooms are good, with maid service every day and bedding changed every 3rd day. You could ask for it to be changed daily but we didn't see the point in asking for something I would never do at home. They are kept clean and had all the extra little touches you could ask for.

We could only afford to come B&B but breakfast was probably one of the biggest buffets you have ever seen and was help yourself, which my husband did happily. There was hot food bacon, chicken sausages, eggs cooked however you wanted, rice, noodles, pancakes, pastries, croissants, muffins, yoghurt, fruit and so much more, unbelievable and all help yourself. The staff were so polite and friendly, you feel like you've known them forever very quickly.

The grounds are amazing, so many different types of birds, lizards, geckos, fauna, flora and ponds with beautiful paths to meander around over the odd bridge here and there.

The swimming pools are great with the top one being a hit with the children for the waterslides. However, despite that it was such a large pool it never felt too busy. The lower pool was very hot and stayed relatively quite most of the time. However, even though it was hot you could still find some areas with a bit of shade to stand under.

A lovely selection of boutique shops onsite and a corner shop with postcards. Drinks, ice lollies and a small range of other bits you might want on the spur of the moment. Just opposite the complex though there is a lovely shopping centre with a good variety of shops and fish spas.

The restaurants on site looked beautiful, we tried the takeaway pizza and ordered room service during our stay, both of which were delicious.

The grounds of the hotel lead straight out onto a beautiful beach which didn't get busy the whole time we were there. We were told that the hotel rents the beach and only guests are allowed to use it. I don't know but either way the beach is a sight to behold.

To conclude. I can't think of one thing I would change. As a preference I prefer to go to adult only hotels but I am very glad we made the exception here as it definitely surpassed all our expectations.

The staff are all amazing and will go out of their way to help you. Tip them if you can, they don't expect it but they definitely deserve it.

Finally, it was my birthday during our stay and we came back to our room and I had a lovely flower arrangement and birthday card left from the hotel. What a lovely touch.

Thank you so much to everyone at the Grand Hyatt Bali for making our stay such a lovely experience.

This was our first and last stay at the Grand Hyatt Bali. Check in process was ok, there was no information given, just a map of a large premises that was pretty vague. Rooms were clean, although dated and beds were very uncomfortable, we both woke with sore backs each morning. We had 2 rooms (ocean view) and 1 fridge didn't work and 1 was just cool, we brought it up but no one ever fixed.
Staff were pretty heads down and only a few would say hello. Breakfast at the main location (Salsa Verde)was nothing awesome, but we found on day 3 the Garden Cafe and the service here was fantastic. I had booked back in April to have dinner at one of the restaurants and on the afternoon of found i had to pay $130/head (incl. children) or wait til 9:30pm for their a la carte menu to be available, there as never any mention of pricing other than having to trek up to lobby area.
We ended up eating most of our meals across at the Bali Collection shops.
The 50m slide and kids club is what drew us in and to have to pay for the kids club, even if you were with your child or Nanny was with child, everything has a large price attached!
I understand it is known as the nicer part of Bali, but this Resort was not.
On checkout we asked for a porter and no one ever came, so we lugged 5 suitcases (kids ages 11,7,3) and carry on bags up by ourselves.

Not our first time staying here but our last stay was almost 9 years ago. The resort is massive with 4 wings (or villages), we got the room on the South Village overlooking the pond on the ground level. Despite its old age, the hotel has been refurbished and still highlights traditional Balinese style but with a modern twist. Absolutely love the main lagoon pool & river pool, the beach area is massive & pretty quiet when we were there. Room is spacious with balcony/terrace & the bathroom is spacious as well with separate shower & tub. Breakfast is served at their Garden Cafe & despite the selections are not as varied as other newer hotels, it is still adequate. Service at the restaurants are great with friendly waiters & Housekeeping staffs kepr our room meticulously clean all the time. The only minor point from us is that we can not check in at around 1:30 pm, I know that the normal check in time is after 3 pm but the resort is empty at that time due to Corona Virus issue & they only have less than 50% occupancy. Other hotels even during peak /busy periods will still have rooms for check in at 12 noon even at 11 AM, I just dont understand they do not have a clean room at almost 2PM. We finally have our lunch first at their restaurant but despite the receptionist promised to call us once the room is ready, no one called us. We finally got the room at 4PM after we approach directly the Front Desk. All in all, it was a good stay.

My cousin and I have recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Bali for 2 nights. The hotel is huge consisting of 700 guestrooms located on many low-rise buildings. One morning I went walking by the beach. When I walked back to the hotel using different path, it took me, let's say, 15 minutes to find my room. Of course I did ask hotel staff where my room was located. The good part of getting lost is that I learnt the hotel exterior was beautifully designed and well maintained. There is a big shopping center just opposite to the hotel called Bali Collection. So it is very convenient. Although Nusa Dua is considered far, we could get taxi easily and the fare from the hotel to Kuta beach was reasonable. In sum, very enjoyable stay.

I must admit I had my reservations about coming to this hotel after reading the reviews but it was the most amazing resort and I was very impressed.
The check in was very professional and quick and we were promptly shown to a fantastic room in the North Village, on the fourth floor with sea views overlooking a massive pond with ducks and birds. We had a king size bed and the bathroom and air conditioning worked well the entire time.
The room was spotless, with clean sheets and towels provided daily.
We were on a Luxury Escapes package which provided free cocktails and meals at the various restaurants and there was not one complaint from us at all. Great food and drinks everywhere we ate.
The pools are huge with loads of lounges available all day. Pool staff was attentive and made sure you had everything you required. My only small complaint is there’s no atmosphere around the pool. Perhaps some music or the offer of volleyball or something would be an idea. The pools are hot but the river pool was the cooler option or head to the beach to cool off.
The gardens are breathtaking and the staff are so friendly and would greet you every time you walked past.
The Bali Collection across the road has loads of options to eat out or we ventured along the beach and past the water blow is a variety of restaurants that serve delicious food.
I absolutely loved my 8 night stay at the Grand Hyatt and have returned home refreshed and relaxed.
It’s sad to see the impact the corona virus is having in Bali. Hopefully things will improve and all the tourists will return to this wonderful island.

It’s a very large resort. There are lots of paved areas/ramps to get around without stairs but some areas will be a little difficult I think. Our room was very close to the club lounge with no stairs and just a short 90 second walk. There are quite a few rooms within the same distance so request a ground floor room.

Club access provides Buffet Breakfast in the grand cafe which is for club rooms only Tea / coffee, soft drinks during between end of breakfast 10.30am and drinks at 5 pm Drinks and snacks .. more substantial than calling them snacks as some nights it replaces a meal . Cocktails , beer and wine are offered 5 to 7pm Rooms are in the quieter east wing of the hotel with its own pool area Been a Hyatt member since 1989, the club in most major cities was meant as a business lounge but in resorts like the GH Bali it’s a quite retreat from the more crowded areas
