Reviews summary

Atanaya Hotel's prime location is consistently lauded by guests for its convenience to city attractions, making it a strategic choice for urban explorers. The hotel's atmosphere strikes a pleasant balance between artsy and modern, particularly noted in the renovated café and the tranquil yet central vibe. While the service is generally regarded as friendly and the rooms clean and comfortable, some guests have remarked on issues with noise and the need for room updates. The value proposition of the hotel is recognized, especially due to its location, but there are mixed feelings about the overall quality and the upkeep of amenities like the pool. Cleanliness is mostly praised, but there's room for improvement, particularly in the breakfast area.

Situated in a central area, Hotel Atanaya is a short drive from Kuta Beach, Discovery Mall, and other popular attractions. It’s ideal for travelers who want to be close to the action but still enjoy a relatively quiet environment. The hotel offers good value for money, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers. The rates are generally competitive for its location and facilities. The rooms are clean, modern, and well-maintained, with amenities such as air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and comfortable bedding. The decor is minimalist but stylish. Guests often report friendly and attentive staff, who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The customer service is generally well-reviewed, and the hotel staff are willing to assist with local tips or transportation needs. While the hotel offers a basic but pleasant experience, some travelers may find the facilities limited compared to larger resorts or higher-end hotels. For instance, the spa and fitness center are basic, and there may be fewer recreational options available. While the breakfast is adequate, some guests feel that the selection could be more varied, especially for longer stays. However, the food is generally decent and fresh.

Attending a dinner gathering last month at this resort and found it interesting. We had mountain view as a backdrop as the sky was blue. The chef provided us with tasty barbeque grills combined with delicious Thai food selections. A recommended type of function!

The initial entry was very good with the room key using a card. The mattress, blanket and pillow are also very comfortable. The AC is cool and cool. Drinking water can be refilled and is clean. The lack of mold in drinking water heaters is because they are rarely cleaned

Be aware that the hotel recently renamed itself as "Atanaya Kuta Bali". We booked three rooms and they were were passable at a tourist class standard.

We arrived at the hotel at about 9.00on and had a late ala carte dinner at the hotel restaurant and the quality was decent. There were a few food and beverage outlets conveniently located within walking distance of the hotel.

I was travelling with my 93 year old mother and as part of our reservation requirements had requested for a number of arrangements to be made more than a month before our check-in: a plastic chair to be placed in the shower for her to sit on while she showered herself, a rubber bathmat for the shower area to prevent slipping and an extension cord for her light electric blanket. The hotel agreed to these in writing. We had booking.com call up the hotel again about a week before we checked in to remind them. We had a late arrival and checked in at about 9.00pm and none to these arrangement had been met. Calling the reception staff on duty didn't solve anything and I had to come down to the reception at least 3 times to bark at the reception staff. The reception staff was scurrying around in ignorance and panic mode as housekeeping services appeared to be non-existent and he didn't know what the hell was going on and didn't know what to do except to say that matters were in progress. He then had someone bring a filthy plastic stool and an extension cord coated with grime and dirt. The grimy extension cord was sent to my mother's room and it was discovered that it was defective and had to be replaced. The receptionist could not find a clean plastic chair/stool so I hauled off one of their banquet chairs and placed it under the shower - the reception staff said that there was no objection to that. Refer to pic of dirty plastic stool below.

The breakfast buffet although ample in terms of variety was of rather poor quality. Restaurant staff were overwhelmed by the number of guests. Breakfast environment was noisy with noisy children running helter skelter and some parents even placing their infant children on their breakfast table.

The water in the roof top pool looked rather murky in places perhaps due to inefficient filtration and there was a fully clothed woman with a head covering in the pool when I went to inspect it. Refer to pic of the pool water.

A hotel with strategic location, in the center of Kuta Bali. It is next to the famous Krisna Souvenir Center, so you can easily shop there. The condition of the hotel was poorly maintained, perhaps also due to the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic which has affected tourism in Bali. This hotel is quite old, so there are some parts of the room that are peeling off and need repair. The room was quite comfortable, although in some parts it looks old and worn. TV, freezer, wardrobe and bathroom amenities were also available. Wifi in the room was smooth.
There were only 2 breakfast choices, and there were not many menu choices due to pandemic conditions. The swimming pool is on the top floor. Based on our valuation during the stay, Atanaya Hotel is more precisely categorized as a 3 - 3.5 star hotel rather than a 4 star hotel, considering the current condition of the hotel. If you want to travel in the Sunset Road area, Atanaya Hotel can be one of your choices.

Let's visit Bali again, and support tourism in Bali.

I stayed here for approximately 3 days. In my opinion, the rooms are artsy and clean, the area is very clean and the location is quite strategic for a traveler like me. The employees here are also very friendly and very responsive when I asked to have my room cleaned. The food is so delicious also. I like it. It’s a very pleasant experience staying here

The location is very strategic in the city center near Krisna & the staff is very friendly and helpful and responds quickly to our requests.
The rooms are also clean and fragrant with a good swimming pool rooftop
Always success for Atanaya who continues to improve their services...and the prices are quite cheap

Got a good price for the stay for idr300k with room feels like 3* or 4* hotel. The only disappointment was the request of preference in getting room in high floor cannot be accommodated. It was said that those room were not ready (i’m doing check in almost 2pm). Also in the room, some of the lights not working
But overall, really happy w/ the stay

The hotel looks like an old property. Upon entering the room, the wooden parquet floor was sticky, and the room's facilities clearly need an upgrade. However, I didn’t expect much given the low rate. What disappointed me the most was no towels, with the reason being that they hadn't arrived from the laundry. How can a room be considered ready if the amenities aren’t fully set up? There was no welcome drink, and the pool facilities couldn’t be used because of an event, but there was no prior notice. Guests had to find out and read the information themselves. I only stayed for one night because I had an event in the Seminyak area, so I couldn’t enjoy the facilities. Personally, I won’t be coming back, even if it's cheap, because there are other hotels around Sunset Road that offer better quality at the same price. The plus only staff is friendly enough
