We booked a superior room with aircon and bigger room. Then when we arrived the host was very rude, not helpful and just opened the door to the room and didnt explain anything about breakfast or the facilitation.

the room was full of mold, dirt, poop smell, toilet was loose on the floor, shower barely worked and it sayd on the reservation that there would be shampoo/conditioner, water etc but there was none of that. only wet toilet paper that sat on the wet dirty floor. Also the aircon didnt work properly but i tought to leave it on for a while so it would turn cold after some time.

then when we came back after dinner the fridge in the kitchen was locked so we couldnt even buy water anymore. knowing there was no supermarket in the area. the security guy didnt want to open the fridge so we had to go to bed without water. then coming into the room the aircon was turned off and it was extremely hot, so i turned it on again and waited. after 15min it turned off again. i tried to turn off the timer for 20min until I had enough and asked the security for another room. he wasnt helpful or friendly at all and i had to beg for another room where the aircon did work. It took him 30min to get of the cough and actually help me.

the other room was even worse, blood and poop/mud stains on the bed and pillows, no towels, no soap nothing. cockroaches and spiders was our night at this hotel.

it was absolutely discusting and the next day the host told me we didnt have breakfast included and we couldnt pay by card only cash, even tho in the reservation sayd we could and breakfast would be included. We where so tired by now that we just payed and left.

DONT go to this horrible place

Staying here makes you feel like a criminal. There is particularly one lady who snaps at you for no reason for whatever you want or ask for.
When I got there she snapped at a lady who asked for lemonade and told her that there is non, but it was clearly on the fridge.
The lady then explained that the other lady who asked for lemonade was rude to her yesterday and I just took it like that.
Next day I tried to order food, she wrote it down in her book to charge me, but her answer was “I don’t know”. So I asked her again, if I could order the food or if I should go somewhere else. I didn’t understand her response due to she just walked away and did other stuff and asked me then if I have left whatever on the table. I asked again due to I didn’t understand, and she yelled at me that there is no rice but she will cook it. So I asked her to please cancel the order and that I would rather spend my money somewhere else. I also asked her to cross the order out of the book so that I won’t get charged for it and she yelled at me again.
Wouldn’t recommend staying here also it is an actual cute place.

We looked at staying here before we came out, as we got told by a friend it was cheap and cheerful.

We arrived and didn't get much of a greeting, so just went into the rooms. The rooms were simple, double bed and a single bed, both with mosquito nets, a fan, and a small cupboard. Outside the room was a garden view a small table and a small bed/chill area.

The price was good, 250'000 rp but you can haggle to 200'00 a night.

Leggies bungalows itself was clean. It had a small chill out area with pillows and a table area, the pool was a decent size, but cleaned once a week, (when it rains it gets very dirty). The rooms were cleaned everyday, and every other day new sheets and pillows.

You could hire a moped/motorbike for a good price at rp50'000 per day, the mopeds were in good mechanical order too!

The restaurant was well priced, good portions, and tasted good! But there are good cheap places down the steps at bingin.

The staff were quite friendly, and the owner was very nice

The location was great, 5-10 mins ride to uluwatu. It's in a nice quiet area away from the main roads.

Now to some not so good bits. Whilst we were there, 3 other guests had either money, electronics or clothing nicked on there last day. However we left our laptops, mobile phones and money and never got stolen.

The showers in the morning were very weak and the water smelt very bad, also the toilet wouldn't flush very well that often.

The wifi is very good considering you are in Indonesia, good connection throughout the complex.
.

Overall, it is a nice place to
Stay if you are looking to stay at cheap places, and aslong as you aren't expecting much.

I stayed at Leggie's for 4 days as I wanted to be in a peaceful place and close to the surf spots of Uluwatu, Padang Padang, Bingin and Balangan. I arrived there by just looking around on my scooter, and the place does look nice. Spacious room, small clean swimming pool.
Inside the room, I got one double bed and one small bed. Spacious closet and mosquito nets around the bed. It looked fine until I went to bed and then the view was disgusting. Brown stains on the bed sheets over the bed, hard to believe they dared putting them on. Anyway, I turned the lights off to get some sleep anyway, and my back started to feel itchy. Although the mattress looked okay (no sheet to cover you with though), the morning after my back was really itchy. I am not sure what it was, but I had to later sleep with long sleeved T-shirt on.
The bathroom was fine, although the shower had nearly no pressure.
Now the real bad thing there is the staff. The lady in charge was so rude it showed that she didn't like us guests to be there. When I arrived she just pointed to which room was available. Not a single smile, not a thank you, she seemed to be angry the whole time.
Now I need to say that the food she prepared was good. Pancake quite basic, but meals were good, although she looked upset that she had to cook.
Anyway, I stayed there because I didn't want to keep searching, but I will not come back, there are plenty of options in Bingin, it's just too bad that the service is ruining this place which has great potential.

I regret not having read the reviews before I stayed here. As others write, the staff is very unfriendly. only when the owner is around, they manage to get a sort of smile on their face. The owner is quite friendly though.

The staff didnt take effort to register me upon arrival, didnt walk up with me to show the room. they just pointed out which one I had to check out myself. No help carrying bags, providing information, showing me where helmets are available in case you rent a scooter.

worst feeling I got is when I found out the cleaning personel stole about 30-40 US dollars from me while I was having breakfast. I always lock my bag but hadnt done so yet as I hadnt expected them to clean that early (and while I would check out that morning!). I cant help but think: how can such religious people who are so busy bringing offerings all the time, have such bad karma?

Stayed for two nights and wouldn't go back. The staff was rude and arrogant, especially the manager. The room was overpriced and smelled damp. My toilet was blocked and the light in the toilet didn't work, and I talked to 2 other guests whose shower didn't work.

Other reviews state grumpy staff which is true, but it wouldn't put me off coming back as you can't beat the amazing location and it's the only one near the beach with a pool.
Super clean, a short walk to Bingin beach for surfing people, while their partner can relax in comfort by the pool. Good scooter parking which isn't the same for ones further down the path towards the beach (like Kelly's Warung).
My first room was noisy due to a big night at the neighbouring hotel so I moved to a new room which Wayan (Mrs Leggie) was fine about. However the new room had no water pressure which didn't change all day despite being told it would 'just be another hour'. So I asked to move to a room with water but it was then that she got very very grumpy with and wouldn't talk to me. I did move but I felt the staff weren't happy with me after that! My third room was excellent but the shower pressure was still poor.
Excellent wi fi but not available in the rooms. Only cold water showers.
Restaurant is fine but I often went to The Cashew Tree down the road as it was better.
I paid 300k rupiah for a room with a fan, it was 400k for air con but there were only two of those rooms. However travelling in June I found just the fan was fine.

There are a couple of 'original' rooms that were built first - floor of stone, thatched roof, and outdoor shower. So if you want the more 'authentic' Bali experience with loads of character, then ask for these rooms.

Overall I would definitely come back again, it was very comfortable.

We were recommended this place by some backpackers so thought we would try it out. The rooms are lovely and clean and the pool is great with a short walk to the beach. Unfortunately what let down our stay was the fact that the staff were very rude and unfriendly and unhelpful- apart from that the place was great

Good location and courtyard garden, but they are about the only redeeming qualities. The staff were the most unfriendliest Balinese I have experienced in over 16 years. They could barely raise their eyes to acknowledge us and gave mumbled, one word answers. I witnessed other guests getting very terse answers to simple requests, or worse still, no answer at all. I got a reasonably better response as I speak Bahasa Indonesia, but the staff always seemed like they would rather be somewhere else (which perhaps they do).
Our room was clean enough but the bathroom absolutely stank, I could hardly stand being in there. No sheet on the bed (which is standard for cheap hotels in Indonesia), however they gave me one when I asked.
There are plenty of options to stay around the area so I suggest looking elsewhere. The only reason we were there is because we had a family wedding next door at Mick's, and we simply wanted a cheap bed for a couple of nights.

All the recent reviews sum this place up. A freind and I stumbed in looking for accomodation for two nights. The staff were hard work to say the least, they were bregrudging that we asked for blankets to sleep under on our beds and had minimum optimism to make our stay plesant.

After staying here I was also subject to a severe case of identity theft which I suspect either this property or one other of committing. Obviously can not make any conclusive accusations, but be reluctant to hand over your home address in addition to a coppy of your passport.
