Rimba By Ayana Bali is celebrated for its comfortable and spacious rooms, which offer beautiful views, although room service and cleanliness can sometimes disappoint. The hotel's service generally receives high marks for staff friendliness and professionalism. Nestled in a tranquil location with picturesque views, the resort provides a luxurious and serene atmosphere with modern architecture.
While the food and drink options are appreciated, some guests find them costly and payment policies strict. Cleanliness and amenities, including the multiple pools and restaurants, are standout features that guests frequently commend.

Hotel's Favourite
Awesome stay at Rimba!
From welcome to checkout all the staff were so kind and helpful and attentive.
Service:
Best part of staying here
Check in and check out was easy
They have 4-5 staff over 2 desks checking ppl in and out so was quite quick
Lobby is quite spectacular, our favourite of the 5 hotels in the Ayana resort (Rimba, Wana, Ayana, Segara and the Villas)
We had lots of bookings and changes which the staff were more than accommodating of
The Ayana app is great though and would definitely recommend using this for concierge requests and booking of activities. Staff were always quick to respond on the app chat and confirmed changes very quickly
Can book dinner reservations from the app too which was great to keep track of all the different bookings
Room
We stayed in a 2 bedroom Jimbaran suite (1 bedroom suite with adjoining bedroom) massive room (especially the suite) with large shower with sitting bench, separate bath. Large lounge/couch to relax on and separate study desk. Also massive walk in robe area
Room was clean and well kept
Did have some issues with maintenance noise (which we were informed of on check in would be from 10am until 5pm).
On one night hammering still going at 8pm, which we phoned hotel staff who dealt with it quickly and within one hour was stopped. Also received an apology note from duty manager and some sweets the next day.
For me, the response to any issues is what matters the most and this was dealt with quickly and very well.
Food
Breakfast (To'Ge restaurant)
Great selection, changed each day (on a 5 day rotation from what we thought). All good quality food with espresso coffee that you can order, selection of western and asian food (we all loved the daily soup noodles and soup) as well as pastries
We sat outside each morning (table of 10) and kids were able to feed the Koi fish in the pond right next to us to keep them entertained
All the staff were excellent and very gracious. The hospitality from all the staff couldn't be faulted
Unique bar
We ate her twice and booked the round table on the edge near the pool
Mexican cuisine and food was really good and once again very reasonably priced for hotel restaurant
Beautiful sunset and kids could use the pool until 5pm, which worked well as they would get out and we would eat dinner
Once again staff were all really accommodating
Ah Yat Chinese restaurant
We didn't come to Bali expecting good Chinese food, but the food was excellent and better quality than what we get in Adelaide, Australia
They have a cantonese chef and the yum cha was cheaper that Aus and better quality
We got take away Kway Teow multiple times to eat in the room which was also great
Hotel facilities
We used mainly the Rimba lower kids pool, but also the forest pool and adults only top pool
Rimba pool was great for kids.
1.1m so our 8 year old could stand. We didn't have to worry about watching her too much
There are also 2 shallows areas (20cm or so deep) so our 5 year old could play in that comfortably and also the area at the bottom of the pool was prob 60-70cm deep and she could also stand in it.
The slide in Rimba is pretty good....not massive but the kids definitely had lots of fun with it (we had a few families there, but had a 12 year, 2 x 8 year olds, 6 and 5 years)
Pool was clean, with someone pretty much constantly cleaning up leaves in the pool
There are private cabanas that you can use for free (but $500,000 IDR minimum spend) which were comfortable as well
Pool wasn't that busy, we could easily get a sun deck lounge by 10ish, by lunch time most are taken though but definitely not crazy busy
Rimba has 4 pools and we tried all of them.
3 monkeys pool definitely the most quiet
Forest pool more just for use from the pool access rooms (my sister's family had this and used the pool in the morning)
Adults only top pool was very nice and more serene
Lower kids pool was where we spent most of our time and was great.
Massive pool, swim up bar and kids slide
Food service around the pool was great.
Very reasonable pricing considering it's hotel food (Pizza ~ $20 AUD, kids meals $10 AUD, drinks $8-10 AUD for mocktails, fresh juices)
Food tasted great and kids loved it
Tram service to the other hotels in the Ayana resort was easy to use and navigate
Comes every 10 mins and easy to hop on and off
Other activities @ Ayana resort
Definitely worth going around to the other hotels
We had dinner at Rock bar which was great for the views and sunset, food wise was average (will write separate review)
Used the kids club @ Rimba and @ Ayana, both were great for some activities we booked the kids into. Airconditioned and kids had fun and gave us a few hours to do adult activities
Thalassotherapy spa - we had 1 hour session included in our bookings and was definitely worth experiencing! (will write separate review)
Kubu beach
- definitely worth a visit
Clean water and sand, pretty quiet and has life guard on duty
Waves/water was a bit strong for the kids to go swimming in, but they loved playing in the rock pools and in the sand
Got really hot so we only stayed for half a day before heading back
From welcome to checkout all the staff were so kind and helpful and attentive.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my mother, having arrived after a long flight from the US. The service and staff were impeccable. They always helped with a smile and we were never left looking for help in any corner of the massive property. The huge array of pools, including infinity views, adults only, and children’s areas with slides, can keep you fully occupied. You get to go down an elevator on the cliff side to access Kubu beach club, which is quite scenic. The room staff visited often and never disturbed us when we were in the room. Everything is always cleaned up for you and they help with luggage even without a special request. Our favorite restaurant was To’ge at Rimba main lobby and the brunch there is to die for, carrying local staples and daily specialties. The staff even created an organic almond milk for my cappuccinos there upon my request, due to my dairy and carrageenan allergies. They also checked all of our food for the allergens listed. We were left several really nice hand written notes. Couldn’t ask for better service!

My family stayed at Rimba Jimbaran Bali for 5 nights. We had a wonderful stay and did not want to leave.
Our rooms were very clean and spacious, they had a fabulous kids pool with slides,
and every one of the many restaurants they had onsite had delicious food (including the room service!). One notable mention is TOGE Restaurant - our 4 year old daughter who suffers from severe allergies was taken care of meticulously well. All the staff members introduced themselves and made sure she was able to have a delicious meal despite her food allergies. She said they made her the best gluten free spaghetti she has ever eaten! Thank you to Rani, Dwi, Cindy, Novi, Eka, Nana, Mika ad Bu! Thank you Rimba Jimbaran Team, we cant wait to return :)

RIMBA was beautiful, staff were amazing and the resort facilities were so beautiful. A range of different pools, restaurants and bars. You can also get the shuttle bus (every 10 minutes) to AYANA and use all the facilities there - the ocean beach pool and the Rock Bar are a must.
My only negatives about this resort are that everything is so expensive once you're there - we never ate or drank while we were there because it was ridiculous pricing. $8.50 for a Bintang! We purchased food and drink from the town and brought it into our room and pool (you're not actually allowed to take it to the pool which is crazy)
The other negative is that room service is so slow, we requested an ice bucket and it took about 20 minutes to arrive. It's also heavily populated with Chinese.
The resort is so beautiful with such great facilities, with a few negatives from the experience.

My husband and I traveled here for our 5th anniversary in September and this will forever be a truly memorable trip. I felt like I was in a dream the entire time we were there. The people of Bali 100% set this destination apart from anywhere I have ever been. Their joy and culture is unlike anything I have experienced and I loved being surrounded by this everywhere we went. We had excellent weather while we were there. The design of the resort is immaculate. I loved the modern room with the heated toilet seat. Loved the wide variety of swimming pools and how unique each one was. We had several meals at Unique Restaurant which has such a wonderful atmosphere and you can even enjoy the infinity pool while you spend time there. They had live music a few evenings here that was very memorable because they specialized it for us (I even got to sing a song with the band one evening)! The Orchid teahouse was such a delight, a little slice of heaven. We spent most of our pool time at the pools at Ayana (our days at the Ocean Beach pool and the River pool were some of the best days of my life) and Rock Bar is definitely a must-do, although it is hot as the sun sets it is truly unique and special winding along the cliff side. I loved watching the massive waves hit against the rocks on the beach. The food and drink at the resort is of course expensive and although I really enjoyed most of it I can't say it was the best I have had. Overall, this was a once in a lifetime experience for us that was truly special and the people of the resort were the most amazing/genuine in the entire world and were people that I will never forget. They made every aspect of this place 100% times better than it already was. I was in awe.

The nicest resort I've visited so far. The entire complex, the huge garden with pond and fishes, the rooms, restaurants and the pool area are very well-kept, clean, stylish and look incredibly good. You really feel very comfortable during your stay. The very nice employees also contribute to that. By far the friendliest and most courteous staff I have ever seen. Here every wish is read from the lips. On arrival you will be warmly welcomed and throughout your stay you will be greeted with a smile and your name.
The different pools offer plenty of opportunities to relax, sunbathe and refresh yourself. Preferably with a delicious cocktail and a fine meal, which you can of course also enjoy there. As a guest at the Rimba you also have additional access to the Ayana Resort complex, the pools and restaurants there and of course the well-known Rock Bar. You need a little time to explore the entire complex, but it's worth it! In addition, you have access to a very nice private beach, Kubu Beach and the bar there. The employees drive you to every part of the resort with a small shuttle.
Due to the variety of restaurants and dining options, there is something for every taste. The food is really delicious, high quality and fresh! The rooms are spacious and, as already mentioned, very clean and stylishly furnished. Even in the high season (at least it was in August 2018, cant select it anymore) everything is very quiet, both in the rooms and in the pool area, so that you can relax undisturbed and enjoy your free time.
The price-performance ratio is really great, you experience a consistently luxurious stay here! A vacation here is highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I stayed over New Years at the Jimbaran resort. The staff were super friendly, none more so than Wid at the Forest Bar.
We stayed in a pool access room, and it was lovely, highly recommend this room choice. The tram service that provides transport between the 2 resorts and the private beach are such a cool idea.
Unfortunately overall I don’t think we’ll return, the place was very overpriced. They have taken advantage of the secluded resort lifestyle, knowing most people won’t leave during their stay. Prices were double for some drinks and meals compared to what we’d paid in Seminyak and Legian. A round of putting golf, 2 buffet breakfasts, 2 dinners and 2 lunches amounting to an additional bill of $900+ for just 3 days on top of what we’d paid for accomodation hurt.
Absolutely lovely place to stay - just be aware of additional overpriced costs!

+1
There's a lot to say about this resort. First of all, it's a VERY good resort. The rooms, reception, restaurants, grounds, pools... It's all beautiful, exclusive, in very good condition. The staff is amazing. Not only do they do everything you want them but also anticipate stuff and are very quick.
The Kubu beach is the best beach I've seen on Bali.
So far this is a 5+ hotel/resort no doubt.
There are a couple of improvement areas though.
Bathrooms. Yes, beautifully designed but lack in functionality in one major aspect, sound proofing. The sliding door that does not latch/lock leaves nothing to the imagination when someone's using the toilet. And since Bali Belly happens a lot this is a major oversight.
Price of food and especially drinks. Small water bottle for 4 EUR and a can of Coke for 6 is a bit too much in this heat. Luckelly they replenish the water bottles in the rooms frequently/on request that at least you have water. Food is also a tad too expensive.
Hotel hack - download apps Grab or Gojak and have everything and anything delivered to the hotel at normal Indonesian prices. The delivery is extremely cheap and you'll get 3 meals delivered for the price of one at the hotel.
The set menu's for some packages are not adapted for kids at all. Even for adults it is a bit restricting. The food overall is OK but for this type of resort I'd expect more.
Anyway, at the end of this rant, gotta give it 4* because you kind of have really high expectations for this type of place.

We stayed at Rimba for the second time, and we are looking forward to many more stays. Last time we were there for 2 nights, but arrived late on the first night and only got to enjoy 1 full day so this time we booked 4 nights, and made sure we made the most of our time there.
Everyone at the resort is friendly and happy to help.
Food at breakfast is delicious, my favourites were the noodles, fresh pastries and french toast is not to be missed! Special mention to Sukarini and Sumitayasa and the rest of the lovely team at To'ge for the lovely service every morning. They remembered our coffee orders every morning. We love the ice Americanos and will miss them!
The Kampeong Bali buffet was also a highlight of our stay. We tried many traditional Balinese dishes and enjoyed the traditional dance.
Rooms are always clean, we had our rooms made up twice a day, service cannot be faulted. It was very nice for the housekeeping to leave little notes in our room everyday. :)
There are so many pools. Everyday we went to a different part of the property for a swim. All the pools are big and there is always space because everyone is so spread out.
If you are looking for a place to relax and has variety, this is it. We stayed for 4 nights and didn't leave the property. There is so much to do.
We looking forward to our next stay and seeing everyone again!

This is the second time at this resort with my first visit 12 months ago staying at Ayana and this time staying at Rimba with my wife as well as family. On both occasions the staff around the resort were awesome but at the front desk all they care about is money $$. They are so blinded by money that they put it ahead of customer needs and that's a real shame but i guess that is what management drill into them. I gave it a second shot as i thought maybe the first time was a bad day or experience but the front desk of both resorts and reservation staff of both resorts are exactly the same money hungry and money driven over customer needs and comfort and i for one a long with my family will not return or recommend to anyone.

Dear georgez007, First of all, thank you for choosing our resort as a holiday destination for the second time in Bali. We pride ourselves on offering stellar standards of service, and naturally I am disappointed to hear that you did not feel this was delivered. I have raised your concerns to our leadership team and will be working even harder to ensure we improve the service provided to each guest. To hear that the resort did not match your expectations is deeply disappointing as we pride ourselves on offering uncompromising product and service standards, so we do hope that your overall positive experience at our resort will tempt you back for a third visit, and that the specific negative experience at our Front Desk will not deter you away from us. Please let me know when you plan on returning to Bali so that we can showcase the true AYANA service that you have come to enjoy at our resort. Kind regards, Stefan Fuchs General Manager

We actually didn't leave the resort once in 8 days as they have so many different restaurants...we didn't get to them all so we have to go back😂
If you do want to go somewhere else, there are taxis available easily and definately drivers. Our driver - Dwi - is amazing and thoroughly recommend him. If you want his details let me know too.
Thank you for your reply. It looked like there would be no problem picking up . My question is, can grab pick up guests at the hotel and take them to the airport?
Yes they are Buffet Food for Breakfast, so many types of food. And desert and fruits.
