The hotel is in an area very close to the beach, perfect for surfing. You can rent a bike for 70k per day and explore everything.
Room: the room was pretty cozy with an outside shower and toilet, although there was no hot water, we didn’t need it anyway. There was no ac in the room, but we had a fan, which was enough for sleeping. The main problem was with mosquitoes, but the hotel gave us mosquito burners, and we had a mosquito net. The rooms are cleaned every day, they also provide fresh towels. Outside we had a nice terrace with couches and a small table.
Beach: Balangan beach is 5 min drive from the hotel. Large waves in the afternoon and seaweed in the evening.
Breakfast: breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:30 in the restaurant near the swimming pool, great ambiance. It was almost the same every day, with some variations. Coffee, tea, two types of juice and infused water, porridge, fresh eggs with croissants, rice/vegetables, fruits.
Service: all the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The reception helped us to book a cheap (800k) tour to mount batur, gave us flip flops because my boyfriend didn’t have any.
Overall it was a great experience for budget travelers like myself.

5 nights at Flower bud bungalows and it was perfect! We (2 adults snd two children aged 5&7) did 2 nights in the original resort (FB1- closer to ocean, breakfast only, nice pool) and then 3 nights around the corner at the newer resort (FB2 - still close to beach just little bit of a further walk 300m, it’s restaurant open breakfast, lunch and dinner and all day for drinks and snacks, also has larger pool) both were gorgeous rustic wood and straw bungalows. I recommend for surfers or families looking to be a little more remote, not very many aussies out that way while there but our kids had a great time playing with kids of other nationalities. Balangan beach has lots of beach Warungs and a gorgeous beach club and we ate at the warungs and beach clubs several times while watching the sun sets. We also had a lovely meal at La Joya restaurant (restaurant within La Joya resort which is a short stroll between the two flower bud resorts, food was great, service good, great vibe, aesthetically pleasing and awesome sunset views) Down the beach, Lots of rock pools to explore at low tide (late afternoon).
The owner of Flowerbud bungalows is lovely and more than helpful when booking the accomodation, answering all my questions.. we even got to meet him and our kids played with his kids in the pool.
Worth a mention- Breakfast that is included is quite simple, tea coffee juice fresh fruit and bread, however for a small price you can buy off the menu. The banana pancakes are amazing. We will 100% be back. We loved this little slice of paradise.

Flower Bud Bungalow Balangan is a small, family-owned resort with 22 bungalows, located in the southern part of Bali on the Bukit peninsula. Each bungalow is built in a rustic style using raw and natural materials like bamboo and wood, blending pleasantly with its eye-catching tropical surroundings. The bungalows have thatched walls and roofs, front porches where guests can enjoy the lovely sea breeze, and a well maintained lush garden, enhancing the tropical touch and feel of the place. Flower Bud Bungalow Balangan also has an outdoor pool, spa treatments as well as a restaurant.

I always thought this would be a nice spot to stay (the bungalows are very cute) but it was very overpriced, very noisy and the restaurant was empty most of the time even though the accommodation was full.
Dirty mosquito nets and sheets.
I’m not fussy and certainly no princess so I say to you save your money for better spots or to flower bud - lift your game!

3 Restaurant
You can eat well at an average price.
4 Wooden houses
Yes, comfort suffers, but in such houses you feel nature better.
5 Garden
Thank you gardener and landscape designer
6 Sunsets
When sunset, the atmosphere is indescribable. The colors are completely different.

Сons:

Shops and restaurants quite far
2 House layout
The stairs to the second floor made it difficult to go to the bathroom.

Just a view steps to famous surf balangan beach. This bungalows only had 3 huts with AC, others only fan. So with tropical climate near the beach, you just felt like boiled egg.TV, refferigerator or ather electronic stuff (except kettle) not available in the room. Overall the pool amazing, excellent breakfast and smilling staffs who will assist you. Thanx for the BBQ night they offer to us.

Room was very clean, stayed in the Joglo room. Would recommend as it has aircon. The pool was beautiful, the surroundings were lovely as well. It was great & I very much enjoyed my stay there. I really liked the decor of the room. Staff were friendly also. The breakfast was good, however everyday they didn’t cook the eggs well enough! Also the electricity cut out so much on the last day, don’t know if that was the property’s fault though, happens in Bali sometimes. I have to say there were many mosquitos, I was eaten alive ha! FYI The location is far out if you don’t have a scooter, but close to a beach.

All in all I would recommend the place, it was a nice tranquil spot :-)

Little spot of paradise.Had everything we wanted. Good air con, outdoor bathroom, pool and restaurant and an easy walk to the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful and organized pick up from the airport on arrival. Great surf beach but neet a driver if you want to go further afield which is easy to organize. There is a very well stocked supermarket 15 min walk up the road.

Really beautiful bungalows with even a top notch bath outside. Almost 5 stars. The staff is really friendly and speaks English very well. I stayed here for 1 day and felt directly at home. Beside the nice bungalows, the garden is also nice to walk towards your bungalow. You get good value for your money. Also a good beach for surfing. I did my first surf class as a beginner there, which was booked by the hotel staff. So also a good service.

The rooms have a well designed mosquito net. The AC works well. Cute windows in the beautiful wooden bungalows with cosy curtains.

The Flower Bud Bungalows is the nicest place to stay at Balangan Beach on the Bukit of Bali. The individual bungalows are owned and operated by a local Balinese family. They treat the guests like family and the accomodations are spotlessly clean and well kept. Every detail is attended to. The cost is only about $25 USD per night with breakfast included. The resort is located on the cliffs just above the beach which is one of the most beautiful on Bali. The surfing is world class and seems to always have swell. The wave is fast and very long and is best suited for intermediate to expert level surfers. I've stayed at the Flower Bud Bungalows several times over the past few years and sometimes for as long as 30 days. The manager, Welley, is always available to provide transportation to and from the airport and to show you around Bali. The bungalows are quite nice for honeymooners as well because they are individual and romantic. The same accomodations in Hawaii or Tahiti would cost several hundred dollars per night. Around the corner is a beach with a surf break called Dream Land. At low and medium tide it can be reached by walking on the reef around the corner of the cliffs.
