Courtyard Agra garners praise for its diverse and tasty breakfast and well-kept amenities, all tied together by a staff renowned for their attentiveness. Guests are largely impressed with the spotless rooms and the hotel's overall cleanliness, although some feel the bathrooms and pool need more attention. While the rooms are comfortable and modern, occasional maintenance and service issues arise. Opinions on value diverge; some appreciate the reasonable pricing, while others find the cost not reflective of the experience.
Its location is celebrated for being close to the Taj Mahal, despite some concerns about its immediate surroundings. The service stands out, with many guests lauding the efficient and personalized touch of the staff. The hotel's atmosphere is described as welcoming, often highlighted by live music and festive decorations that contribute to its charm.

Detailed Reviews
It was basically a very short trip wherein we flew out from Japan to Agra on Friday and returned on Sunday. So basically it was reaching the hotel on Friday or should I say Saturday midnight. We checked in at around 1 AM. There were initial hiccups with a room designated for me since I was looking for a accessible room. The room allotted was 105 but the flush had minor problems which was resolved later on Saturday. It looks like the proactive factor was missing. But the major delight was walking in for the Breakfast at 7:30 AM in the morning. The entire crew was courteous. And as most of the people have mentioned about few of the crew members who stood out were Mr. Charan and Mr. Kaif. Both of them delighted with their heart winning smile and courtesy. The special masala tea does deserves a mention. Though we are Indians by heart and Citizenship but Japanese by Permanent Residency, we were looking for that extra serene and quiet but delightful experience. But unfortunately there was lot of noise in the restaurant. You cannot blame the hotel and staff for that. It was the crowd. So obviously next day we tried to find a place before leaving back for Japan which was not too crowded and we could find the peace to enjoy the sumptuous Indian Cuisine offerings. Overall we enjoyed our stay which was relaxing despite our busy schedule. We even did had a chance to check out the Tattva spa for a relaxing massage but it was more of an indulgent ritual of oil application than a massage. The spa was not up to the mark or comparable to what we have experienced in Japan. But anyways it served the purpose. The entrance of spa is good and you will feel like you will get relaxed but the steam room and the masseurs do lack the professionalism or should I say the wow factor. I think one more factor which Marriott should consider and not only restricted to our room is that they should send their procurement or infrastructure team to Japan to have a look at the bathrooms. Our home bathrooms are far way better than the bathrooms of many of the high end hotels. The flooring is not slippery at all and the drainage is very smooth leaving behind the bathroom dry. I am yet to find a bathroom comparable to bathrooms in any given Japanese Household. This was mere my point of view but overall you will find the hotel relaxing and the staff courteous. The crew did clicked the photo with us for a memory and delighted us with a Bon Voyage cake on the second day.

We truly appreciate your feedback and the time you took to highlight both the positive aspects and areas where we can improve. Changed hotel just 2 hours before I was due in Agra to Courtyard at Marriott and it was the best decision ever.
Location is slightly off the main road, but tuk tuks and taxis were available outside the hotel, while there is a travel desk inside that can arrange a transport/guide for slightly more.
Room was modern and clean (and spacious!), and 4 bottles of water were provided. Only thing is the metal screw caps of the bottles which were so difficult to twist open that I had to use my key to break the seal to open. Out of 9 bottles I drank, 5 needed my key.
Tolietries and amenities were provided, as expected of a hotel of such standards.
Had breakfasts, dinner and room service in the hotel, food was a decent spread of local and international, and even the Asian food tasted authentic enough. Tummy was definitely happy, special thanks to Mirza at Momo Cafe for serving dinner and breakfast.
Check in and out were efficient, thanks to Shajeb and Anam. And to all the staff who made the stay so pleasant despite me being in a backpack and backpacker wear, I was treated no less than the rest, thank you!

Wonderful breakfast. Variety of dishes, fruit, baked goods.
The room is quiet, the beds and pillows are soft and comfortable. The shower room has everything you need: shampoo, shower gel, and hair conditioner. The staff is friendly and ready to do anything to ensure that you are satisfied with your vacation. Jitendru special respect))). Upon request, we provided an extra bed for our child. Thank you. We recommend.

My recent stay at this hotel with my family was, unfortunately, not up to the mark. We booked two rooms, hoping for a pleasant and comfortable experience, but were left quite disappointed.
Firstly, the quality of the food was subpar, which made dining at the hotel an unpleasant experience. Additionally, the room supplies such as towels and soap were of inferior quality, which is not what one would expect from a 5-star property. The furniture in the rooms appeared dated and in need of an upgrade.
On a positive note, the location from Taj Mahal is under 4km and the staff (like Sunny, other food servers, and Nikhil at the front desk) was active and ready to help, but it was evident that they were working within certain constraints. Thank you for the early check-in and late check-out. Despite their efforts, the overall charm and elegance that this hotel once had seem to have faded. It no longer lives up to its 5-star rating. A more 3-star average hotel, where the staff is desperately trying to save face and protect the brand name.
The food (buffet) quality and taste needs urgent attention. At breakfast: items like dry fruits are not served, no yogurt option, no cold food platter, re-purposed food from dinner, and dismal food options. At lunch and dinner: heavy oil-rich Indian food with extensive use of spices (masala), no healthy options. Overall tasteless food, which looks stale, and more fried items, with the use of inferior oil (dalda may be). After every meal, everyone in the family felt uneasy. We had to opt for outside food as a result. The lunch and dinner buffets are always available at a 50% discount in Swiggy and Zomato, but it is still not worth the price, given how bad the taste and quality are. The chefs need to up their game.
In summary, this hotel has lost its former glory and elegance, and our stay was far from the luxurious experience we had anticipated. Worst Courtyard Marriott Property to date.

Dear Abhishek, Thank you for taking the time to provide detailed feedback following your recent stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Agra. I deeply regret to learn that your experience with us fell short of your expectations and did not reflect the standards of service and quality that we strive to maintain. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the subpar quality of the food during your stay. The issues you encountered with the breakfast and buffet offerings are unacceptable and do not align with the culinary standards we aim to provide to our guests. Rest assured, I have addressed these concerns with our culinary team to ensure that immediate improvements are made. We continuously strive to maintain our facilities to a high standard, and your comments have highlighted areas where we must focus our efforts to ensure a more comfortable and luxurious experience for our guests. On a more positive note, I am glad that our staff, particularly Sunny, Nikhil, and the restaurant service team, were able to assist you and provided a level of service that met your expectations, despite the challenges you mentioned. Your acknowledgment of their efforts is appreciated, and I will make sure they are recognized for their dedication. However, I understand that these positives do not mitigate the overall disappointment you felt during your stay. Please know that we take your feedback very seriously and are committed to making the necessary changes to restore the charm and elegance that you and so many others have come to expect from our property. I sincerely apologize for the discomfort and dissatisfaction you and your family experienced, and I assure you that we are taking steps to address these issues comprehensively. Courtyard Agra - 6/10
Rooms:
The rooms were big and spacious, however there was mould growing over the walls and the room overall has not been well maintained by the staff working here. However, the bed was comfortable and the amenities in the room are pretty good.
Service:
We had some pretty poor experiences with the service at Courtyard. We were just ordering some plain rice for my sister who felt sick and the staff said it would just take 15 minutes before it would be brought up to our room. But an hour and a half later we finally received a cold bowl of plain rice.
Food: They had a few tasty options for vegetarians, however they didn’t have an extensive list of foods for my family.
Overall:
To make it a great hotel, the workers here need to do a lot of work on the cleanliness of the rooms, as well as improving the service.

The hotel is exceptionally clean, and every staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful. Arshish, who assisted us at the restaurant, showed great attention to detail, making sure everything was perfect. Before we checked out, we were surprised with a special menu, which added a thoughtful touch to our stay. This experience left us with wonderful memories, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great service and a warm atmosphere. It truly made our trip unforgettable

Very comfortable stay with exceptional food. I visited several five star hotels during my stay in India and this hotel had the best food of any hotel I visited. Comfortable rooms with modern feel; the view of the courtyard is especially nice with a large window that lets in lots of light. Chef Binay, chef Ramnaresh, and chef Vikky ensured that we had an access to wonderful clean food from any number of various cuisines.

First our room is non-smoking and it is smokey in it. I had to talk with 4 people before we can move to a different room. One of them actually came into the room to smell it. They moved us to a room with a balcony but there were mosquitoes in there so we had to spray the room.
Second, the Buffett for dinner is salty and underwhelming. The chai is bad and no filtered coffee. The latte was good though.
Third, there is no pottery class that it says is in the brochure.
Fourth, I went to use the restroom and the lights weren't working in the women's bathroom. I had to use my flashlight on my phone to see. The front desk told me that I could keep waiting for it to come back on because they are working on it.
Fifth, when we checked in I asked if breakfast was included and they told me and my husband yes, but when we were leaving breakfast they tried to charge us!
Sixth, we ordered from the cafe momo some food to go and it should have taken 20 min max but it took 45 minutes! By this time I was talking with the manager. They did not adequately resolve these issues, small discount and some free food.
I am disappointed in Marriott for not keeping tabs on this location for weary travelers hoping to maintain quality hotel stays.

Dear Ms. Molczyk, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at Courtyard Marriott Agra with us. The comfort and well-being of guests is top priority for us and I am extremely disappointed that we failed to live up to our usually high standards of customer delight. We have taken note of your feedback with regards to the room upkeep, F&B quality and service deficiencies and have since taken corrective steps to ensure such issues do not repeat in the future.
