On a short trip with my son to Agra stayed at Hotel Sidhartha for a night and it was pretty comfortable. The best part of the hotel is its location. It's right on a street that takes you to the Taj Mahal West Gate. This street is lined up with eateries, petha shops & handicraft outlets and is a no vehicle zone. The Hotel and the Taj Mahal ticket counter is a less than 5 minute walk.

The staff at the reception was cheerful & helpful. Even the owner of the Hotel, Mr Sidhartha was there when we checked in (& also during our check out).

The Hotel has bigger AC rooms and a vegetarian restaurent with indoor & a decent outdoor seating arrangement on the ground floor. Since the chill was still in the air we checked into a non AC standard room on the first floor.

The room was very basic but cosy. The small bathroom though required a major overhaul. The flush in the bathroom did everything but flush..

Since our primary purpose was to visit the Taj Mahal, Hotel Sidhartha with its amazing location was helpful in our endeavour and in less than a day we were able to visit The Taj not once but twice, once late evening and once early morning.

All in all Hotel Sidhartha scores big for its location and provides you with a decent comfortable stay.

We picked this hotel due to proximity to Taj Mahal (it is very convenient to go there at 6:00 when the gates open). Our room on the ground floor was basic but we had a decent night's sleep. We would have liked to hang out in the courtyard but unfortunately it was raining a lot. The breakfast that was included in the price was very modest. We had a meal in the evening in the restaurant - the chickpea stew was good but "tomato soup" not so much. The price for the accommodation was very reasonable and I would recommend this hotel for a one-night stay.

Very very friendly helpful staff that were happy to listen to anything we needed. Hotel is literally a few mins walk from both east and west entrances to the Taj Mahal. The only gripe we had was pretty weak wi fi in our room but with a 430am start to see the sunrise at the Taj it wasn’t a major issue on this occasion. Overall very good place for the money

Nice little hotel within walking distance of the Taj Mahal. The staff were very helpful, and the rooms were very clean! Very accommodating when we asked to shift from a non-AC room to an AC room. Great price, and perfect location if you're in town to visit the Taj. We'd highly recommend!

We booked this hotel last minute, as our original booking at the Ayu Rigel, cancelled our reservation less than 24-hours before our stay as they claimed to be overbooked (we booked the Ayu months ago!).
So, to the siddarthur hotel...
excellent points as follows; (there are only excellent points!)
Fabulous welcome/greeting on arrival.
Incredible location, yards from the Taj Mahal and a short tuktuk to the Agra Fort.
We was given a choice of rooms, all better than expected.
Fantastic food in the on-site restaurant. Recommend the hot/sour soup. Garlic naan and the aloo ghobi.
Friendly helpful staff, putting chairs in the garden so we could enjoy a couple of beers (purchased from the Beer Shop close by)
We booked our onward travel to Jaipur while here with ease. The owner/Manager arranged all this for us, without pushing us to book anything more than we wanted, which is vary rare here! everything was booked at our request and exactly what we wanted. No fuss!
Overall, a great find. Genuinely glad our original hotel cancelled our booking.
Stay here, you won’t be disappointed.

It was my second time in Hotel Sidhartha. Still the same good value for money. Friendly staff, great location (just 5-minute walk from Taj Mahal), nice view from the rooftop, delicious and cheap food in the restaurant. Very attractive price for the room. There are small and modest rooms on the first flor, without air conditioning, which may be challenging during summer time. However, on the ground floor rooms are much bigger and better, incl. air conditioning.

Since it was a heritage trip to Agra, we decided to stay close to the Taj Mahal and Hotel Sidhartha was the best option. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Taj Mahal Western gate. A non-frills veg.hotel, but the piping hot breakfast after a tour to the Taj was just awesome. The owner Sidharth was most helpful. It's a budget hotel, and the bathroom needs a major overhaul. Overall a good stay

The hotel is located in a walkable distance to
Taj Mahal. There is a restaurant inside where you get homely food. Staff was helping and courteous. Room clean and hygienic. Overall I would say it was a good experience.
There are lots of shops and autos nearby to travel around and also some good eateries to try on...
