The staff at the reception was cheerful & helpful. Even the owner of the Hotel, Mr Sidhartha was there when we checked in (& also during our check out).
The Hotel has bigger AC rooms and a vegetarian restaurent with indoor & a decent outdoor seating arrangement on the ground floor. Since the chill was still in the air we checked into a non AC standard room on the first floor.
The room was very basic but cosy. The small bathroom though required a major overhaul. The flush in the bathroom did everything but flush..
Since our primary purpose was to visit the Taj Mahal, Hotel Sidhartha with its amazing location was helpful in our endeavour and in less than a day we were able to visit The Taj not once but twice, once late evening and once early morning.
All in all Hotel Sidhartha scores big for its location and provides you with a decent comfortable stay.

So, to the siddarthur hotel...
excellent points as follows; (there are only excellent points!)
Fabulous welcome/greeting on arrival.
Incredible location, yards from the Taj Mahal and a short tuktuk to the Agra Fort.
We was given a choice of rooms, all better than expected.
Fantastic food in the on-site restaurant. Recommend the hot/sour soup. Garlic naan and the aloo ghobi.
Friendly helpful staff, putting chairs in the garden so we could enjoy a couple of beers (purchased from the Beer Shop close by)
We booked our onward travel to Jaipur while here with ease. The owner/Manager arranged all this for us, without pushing us to book anything more than we wanted, which is vary rare here! everything was booked at our request and exactly what we wanted. No fuss!
Overall, a great find. Genuinely glad our original hotel cancelled our booking.
Stay here, you won’t be disappointed.
Taj Mahal. There is a restaurant inside where you get homely food. Staff was helping and courteous. Room clean and hygienic. Overall I would say it was a good experience.
There are lots of shops and autos nearby to travel around and also some good eateries to try on...

I recommend my freinds and colleagues to stay in same at nepal gunj. Stay was very hood
"Rooms on the ground are much bigger compared to rooms on the first flor. Make reservation in advance as there are fewer than upstairs rooms."Read full review
