It may, at one time, have had a view of the Taj Mahal but it does not do so any longer as a bridge on the Metro is in front of the hotel. This, however, does not detract from the excellence of the hotel. After our train journey from Sawai Madhopur we were warmly welcomed by friendly staff and shown to our large, comfortable and clean bedroom (with safe) with attached well-stocked bathroom (no bath but a large shower enclosure). Our excellent buffet meals were taken in the Svanga Kitchen restaurant. There was plenty of choice and my wife, who is Gluten Free, was taken round by one of the chefs and shown the food that would not compromise her diet (excellent guest relations). Outside there are extensive well-maintained grounds and swimming pool.

We stayed at the Taj with an upper floor suite for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable and meticulously cleansed and restocked daily. The upper floor leads to the Sky Deck restaurant which offers views of the Taj Mahal seen in different light throughput the day. I brought along a telephoto lens so could make out individuals walking the Taj! The hotel is well located and the new light railway system will link it up up to various parts of the city when it completes in the future.
By the way, the food is authentic for North Indian cuisine and there is a good selection of international dishes for more fussy eaters!
I have to say all the staff were really good in every aspect of what makes a good hotel. However, I do want to give a huge thanks to Mr Ali on the front desk. During our stay one of our children was under the weather with a cold. Mr Ali arranged for a doctor to visit, then arranged for a car and instructed the driver to ensure all the medicines were in order at a local pharmacy. This all took one hour from calling the doctor to administrating the medication. Now that’s impressive and made possible by Mr Ali’s attention to detail in the care of his guests. A real gentleman. Thank you!
All told, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Drinking cocktails on the Sky Deck while the sun sets on the Taj Mahal was unforgettable. Idle away in glorious sunshine and bask in the majesty of the Taj Mahal.

We had a two day stay at the hotel. The welcome area is really good. My daughter had a wonderful time at the premises. The staff beared with us for her activness. I would like to extend my thanks to the property manager Mr Gagan and other staff members for their warm hospitality. Palvinder and Sakshi at the reservation desk and reception were very courteous and even guided us for what all to explore and how to explore in the city. Geeta and Payal were happily looking after our daughter and were very forthcoming in helping us when we needed anything.
Also, you must checkout the restaurant Jhankar, it is very good for its indian and mughlai dishes. The other restaurant Svanga is also fairly good. Mr Anil and Mr Madan at the restaurants were quite hospitable and helped us with food for our baby.
The gardens are lush green and very appealing. The sky deck gives you a nice view of Taj Mahal. For kids, there are magic and puppet shows to keep them entertained. Live music during morning buffet was also very good.
Simple things like getting the feeding bottle washed even at odd hours was done with a smile.
The only feedback I have is to check on the helical slide in the garden which I feel is very dangerous if you have kids younger than 8 years old. Maybe, the management can think about making it very gentle so that kids are not at risk.
Thank you Taj Team for making our stay very special.

The hotel is fine, nice establishment with very kind and helpful staff with clean rooms and free bottled water in the room. However (unfortunately there is one), I found the following being not worth the money you pay: - if you are given a room (any room whether it faces the Taj or not) you should be cleaning the windows inside. We had a Taj facing room and the window was smudged with someone’s forehead grease (noticed as soon as we arrived in the room), together with some other dirt. - food is ok, nothing special and a bit too Americanised (donuts for breakfast, which is fine to cater for a wider audience, but doesn’t deliver on authenticity). I had better meals elsewhere in India and in the UK as well. - The merchants in the shops within the hotel are too much and feels like you’re in the streets of Delhi where they’re bothering you every step you take to come and look in their shop and will not let you go until you’ve either promised to come back or bought something. The problem is that the shops are located right by the lifts taking you to the rooms, and they would come right by to try and get you in their shops. Overall an ok stay and did the job as we were there for the Taj Mahal. The location is convenient as it’s not too far and it’s a secure environment.

Hare Krishna! It gives me immense pleasure in writing this feedback for a heartwarming experience during my stay at your Hotel recently:) I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff who made mine and other Officers of Indian Army's stay a memorable and cherishing one. From the first point of contact while making the reservation Pragati Ma'am & Ekta Ma'am to the last point of contact during my departure Mr Ramnarayan, the Valet. All of the hotel staff was cordial enough to be at assistance with smile on their faces. I'd like to convey my thanks to Anil ji & Madan ji for their personal involvement & interaction with us during our meals. also to the staff in the Svanga Kitchen from Chefs who work tirelessly to prepare delicious & healthy food to Manbhar , Muskaan to Vishnu who taught me how to convey thanks in sign language & whose smile can instantly light up your eyes. I'd like to thank Munimji & Shailendra ji to help improve my room aesthetics through their services. Thanks to Bhawana & Palwinder for their considerate and welcoming attitude everytime I went to reception. Love to Maya & Max Being a Dr I'd be glad to help any of the hotel staff for any advise on any health issue. Looking forward for another stay with you. I would be the happiest if somehow the use of plastic bottles for water is replaced somehow to glass/bamboo bottles. Thanks & Regards

Stayed here for 1 night as part of the GRJ Golden Triangle tour. Maybe we’d been spoilt with the better hotels on the tour but this one was like a cheap Travel Lodge. Food was ok but the rooms were tired. Staff were not interested in any queries we had. Only one hand towel, no coffee, no cups etc and when asked at reception, big boss man leaning on the desk mumbling “we’ll send some up”. Never arrived. Good location for Taj Mahal but apart from that I wouldn’t stay here again.k

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. I hated this hotel the minute my sister and I checked in. We were pursued by overly aggressive people trying to sell us spa services as soon as we arrived. The checkin clerk was talking at me while I was trying to read the hotel’s terms and conditions. When we saw the room, I noted that there was no bath mat, no hot water, very slow internet, dirt and dust throughout the room, dated furniture, creepy atmosphere, no real view of the Taj Mahal because of the trashy city scene blocking the view.
I went to the front desk to see about refunding 2 of the 3 nights I booked for this place and was told that I could leave after one night and be refunded the two nights that I didn’t stay. The manager even volunteered to find me another hotel, an offer I declined.
The next morning, at checkout, the general manager, Mr Ahmad Ali agreed in writing to refund me 22567rs, but that the credit would take about two weeks. So, I left with this signed agreement.
I wrote to Mr. Ali by email on October 26, 2023, reminding him of the agreement dated October 6, 2023, and got no response and no refund.
Since I booked through Hotels, com, I contacted them about this issue. They then allegedly contacted the hotel and let me know that the hotel would not issue a refund because of their cancellation policy.
This has been a terrible experience with very dishonest people.

Very nice hotel with thoughtful and kind service. Spent two nights in a lovely spacious room on the 4th floor. The chefs, waiting staff and housekeeping team made the visit feel so comfortable and enjoyable. Left feeling like the TajView had bested what we would have expected from the likes of Oberoi Amavilas.

This hotel is located very close to the entrance to the Taj Majal (15-20 minutes walk or 5 minutes by car). The hotel has good facilities, the rooms are very comfortable, and the pool area is very good. It also has a rooftop with views of the Taj Majal, but know that the Taj Majal does NOT light up at night, so if you want to organize a dinner with views of the Taj Majal as was our case, you will be on the terrace but you will not be able to see it, so Like if you choose a room with a view at night you won't be able to see it. Buffet breakfast with continental options. Very friendly staff both at the reception and in the restaurant. Good WiFi connection
As a drawback, when reserving a table for dinner on the rooftop they only offered us the possibility of a “tasting menu” for 3,500 rupees per person, however when we were there there was a menu with many other cheaper products and there was a lot of availability of tables.
