We had an unforgettable experience at Trident Agra during our recent stay with older family members. The hotel truly exceeded our expectations in every way.
The staff was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate my elderly relatives, ensuring they were comfortable at all times. From providing accessible rooms upon request to assisting with luggage, their attention to detail was outstanding.
The dining options were a highlight. The staff accommodated dietary preferences and even offered soft food options, which made dining a pleasant experience for the elders.
Additionally, the hotel had activities and amenities suitable for every generation. All elderly ones enjoyed relaxing by the serene gardens, while the younger family members laughed away to the evening puppet show.
The location was perfect- right next to the Taj and the main market.
Thank you Yuvraj Singh Negi, hotel manager and his exceptional team for creating such a memorable experience for our family. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to others traveling with older family members.

A delightful oasis of calm, much nicer than it looks in the photos! Rooms are very comfortable, spotless and well appointed - we had a ground floor pool view room with twin beds which was perfect. Pool area and gardens are serene and lovely. We are in the restaurant in the evening and went for the buffet which offered vast choice (mostly Indian) and was delicious and very good value. Our first try of Indian wine was surprisingly pleasing! Special mention to our lovely waiter Sahil who was super friendly and attentive. Didn’t have breakfast as had an early start but they sent us off with packed goodies which hit the spot!

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel prioritizes guest satisfaction and experience above all else. The hospitality here truly is second to none. Upon check-in, I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff, who made the process quick and seamless. They were attentive to every detail, ensuring that all my needs were met as I mentioned in my email. I shared a particular concern about my younger child and it was taken care of to the perfection. Also, as we were celebrating our anniversary, we were greeted with a very pleasant surprise upon check-in our room.
The staff throughout the property exudes professionalism and warmth. Whether it was the housekeeping team, who kept my room impeccably clean and well-stocked, or the restaurant staff, who delivered service with a genuine smile (particularly there was a guy from Manipur who was outstanding in taking requests) , or the guys at the pool getting swimming gear for the kids, or the kids room girl & gardeners, everyone contributed to making my stay memorable. It's evident that the team is well-trained and takes great pride in their work.
The upkeep of the property was flawless. The room size is small though, bathroom too should have been bigger. However, every detail within thoughtfully considered, from the plush furnishings to the high-end toiletries. The common areas were equally impressive, especially the beautifully maintained gardens with many peacocks roaming around and a Geese house.
Evening programs were entertaining for the kids including Pottery, Magic Show and Puppetry . The location of the hotel is very good too, right in the heart of the city and very near to the Taj_Mahal!
The area of improvement lies in the food which is great in variety, bit I would personally prefer it more spicy to suite my Delhi Palate. However, the ample variety and the attentive service made up for it too well.
I look forward to returning and highly recommend this hotel to discerning travelers.

This hotel is both punching above its weight (no way is it 5 star) and straddling the line between a wedding venue and a hotel. I want to be clear - they should not be taking ANY bookings from outside guests when hosting weddings. We've been travelling India for 8 days, in 5 star Oberoi and Trident hotels and this was the 1st dissapointment, and we were not alone.
We were checked into a room that faced the back of the adjacent property that had full-on boom-boom music going on. YOu could not even sit in your room it was that bad. The room also stank of cigarettes.
We were then moved , after I asked, to a room on the other side of the corridoor that faced the garden. There was a party there, but it was quieter. This room also stank of cigarettes. The party was full-on but we took it in good humour and had a wondeful dinner in the restaurant.
At night, the wedding guests ran up and down the corridoor screaming , shouting, partying. This was intermittent and didn't stop until after 3am. The doors are thin, the rooms small (more like a budget hotel in style) you could not escape the shouting, often right outside your door.
The following day another wedding was set up. We returned from a day sight seeing. You could not use the pool as it was surrounded by the wedding tables and food, and guests, sitting on the sun loungers (not to mention the awkward possibility of being half naked in front of a full wedding compliment of guests). YOu could also nto sit on any of the outside tables for a relaxing drink as they wedding sound system was deafening - too loud to even shout over at times.
We left for a short walk and found a small roof top bar.
We had to LEAVE our "5 star" hotel to get some peace and quiet. We could never practially use the pool, or the garden.
I WILL howver give a special mention to Roshan and Mishra who, on both nights, went out of their way to prepare us special dishes and thoroughly spoil us, and we were part of the buffet, so this was not requred by them at all. They we both charming, and excellent staff who really made teh stay unforgettable - other than it being unforgettable for the above reasons too! So Thanks Roshan and Mishra - your service was above and beyond.
As for the hotel - check its not wedding season before you book. We were not alone in this feeling. On morning 2 we heard two other couples discussing teh horrific night time noise, and on morning 3 another Brit said the same - he got out of bed and shouted at the locals to pack it in, but was completely ignored.
I will be speaking to my travel agent about this as i know they use this hotel frequently and they would want to know.

We stayed at Trident, Agra for two nights. The best thing about the hotel is its ambience, especially the fairy forest where one gets to see a variety of plants, trees, geese and peacocks. There were a few things that were disappointing though. We were given two single mattresses in a king bed and that turned out to be very uncomfortable [we had two rooms with double beds]. The comforter was adequate for just one medium sized person and without a cover. Only two water bottles of 600 ml each were provided - these are things I have seldom seen in a 5-star hotel. For some reason, 3 out of the 4 of us developed an allergic kind of cough on switching on the ac vents in both rooms and felt better when we moved out into the open, and this happened on both days we were there. The breakfast was average in variety and taste - even when we arrived at 930 am, some serving dishes were empty - may be it was due to the crowds but the service [both in the room and restaurant] could have been quicker and better.
All in all, it was an average stay in a well laid out property.

From Check-In to Check-Out, Your Staff Made Our Stay Exceptional! Upon arriving at your establishment, we were greeted with warmth and care. The rooms were prepared ahead of schedule, and Dilip from housekeeping ensured they remained immaculate—even accommodating our irregular timings. During meals, the staff went above and beyond, especially when attending to the elderly members of our group. They assisted with serving plates, took extra orders, and treated our seniors as if they were family. The reception staff seamlessly arranged bookings for us—whether it was at Amarvilas, for Taj tours, or with a knowledgeable guide. We sincerely appreciate this outstanding hospitality and look forward to returning soon for another memorable experience. Thank you for making our stay truly special!
