We stayed at this hotel for two nights so we could visit the Taj Mahal and Red Fort. The rooms were large and spotless with a very comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a bath AND separate shower. The breakfast buffet was good, with lots of choice. We sampled both the a la carte and buffet menu in the evening and both options were served excellent and very good value. There is a small swimming pool but only 3 sun beds, these were much on demand and could be increased. Complimentary towels were available for swimming and bar service. Overall this was a pleasant stay.

We stayed for at the Royal Sarovar Portico for 3 nights in September 2023, and loved our stay! The Royal Sarovar Portico is a very new, very modern boutique hotel on Fatehabad Road, opposite the Trident Hotel. It's a renovation of the previous Royal Residency Hotel, and the budget alternative to the more prestige Crystal Sarovar hotel in Agra. The Royal Sarovar Portico only opened in mid 2023 and is a fantastic choice for people wanting all the luxuries of a 5 star hotel, at a much lower price. The lobby and lounge area are lovely, expansive and with plenty of comfortable couches. The restaurant was nice. I particularly liked that the menu prices were nett and inclusive of all taxes. The complimentary breakfast buffet was good and on the evenings that the restaurant offered a diner buffet, it was very good value and we ended up eating in the hotel restaurant most evenings. The only disappointment in the restaurant was their espresso coffee, which wasnt good! The hotel is also across the road from McDonald's if you want fast food. The bedrooms were very clean and bright, and included lots of international power sockets, writing desk, fridge, room safe. The bed was extremely comfortable, one of the softest I've slept on in India! Room service food was quick and inexpensive. There was a loud music function in the basement reception hall and it was so well soundproofed you couldn't hear it at all. The swimming pool and spa area behind the hotel was lovely, with tables and chairs and sun lounges, and a small gym. The staff repeatedly ckecked on our wellbeing and asked us if things were OK. The location on Fatehabad Road is good, and just a few minutes by taxi or Auto from the Taj Mahal east gate. The Agra metro's Taj East Gate Station is directly outside the hotel. (the citywide metro is scheduled to open Feb 2024). We had a very relaxing stay. I fully recommend the hotel as a great midrange option in Agra.

The room is very clean and warm. I visited Taj Mahal early in the morning and came back at 9h45 and the hotel still served breakfast. The food are very good. The staff are very supportive and friendly. The location are easily accessible and very close to attractions, especially Taj Mahal, took us about 2-5 min to get to the place.

Staff are very attentive, so much so that the guy who asked me to write this review, Nitesh is standing behind me as I type this. Breakfast spread is ok, some western but mostly Indian choices, rooms are spacious and comfy. Hotel needs to be more strict with their non smoking policy in rooms bc there was definitely someone who smoked in my room before me. BUT the staff were very quick to change rooms for me which throughly appreciated. Bar service was quick and good as well. Front desk people could be a little happier /cheerful (:

I travelled from UK and stayed in Royal Sarovar Portico for 2 days and the stay was very pleasant. The hotel have their own travel desk where they arranged a trip to Taj Mahal and Agra fort for additional reasonable cost. The rooms and restaurants are very clean and tidy , no complaints. The staff was friendly . Highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel, nice and very clean rooms and friendly stuff for a fair price. Wifi was also working well. Chef Nitin, Harishankar, Damini and the remaining restaurant crew also made sure I have everything I need for breakfast. 🙏 Location was also good, only 10-15 min away by Uber from all big sightseeing attractions.
