I definately can recommend the place. We arrived late at night and had communication with receptionist (Sahil). He was communicating very well, informing us about the rates, availability and check-in times. Place is very well designed, it is nice to be there, beautiful hall, flowers in bowls, a little shop with souvenirs, they offered us a welcome drink (chai) with home-made cookies. We booked first for one night. Next morning enjoyed a good breakfast (could choose from a menu, many optons available). And we booked for another night. As it was a bit expensive for us, we could not stay longer, but they stay was worth it. Staff was very polite. Room is cozy, nice furnuture, there are tea and coffee supplies in the room, local sweets, all served on a cute tray. One detail is awesome: electric kettle looks like made of porcelein and with a nice colorful patterns on it! There is a glass coffee table and chairs. At late evenings food deliveries through Zomato are allowed. So we did. Bathroom was clean and products such as soap, body wash and conditioner are also like eco/bio type, smelled nicely of herbs, can't recall now, but something like Lavender essential oil etc. It was a bit chilly inside at times but we could use AC as a heater. It is relatively quiet and you can have a good rest, what for India is essential with all ongoing noises outside. The premises are beautiful in general, not large, but cozy and with a design touch everywhere. There is a common area with books about India, art, history, culture and a common balcony area even. There is a cute dog near reception, absolutely calm and friendly. Taj Mahal is not far from the hotel. Bear in mind opening times, we were on Friday and that day it was closed and it was possible to visit a backyard with a gorgeous green garden. Plan some time to be there, we were just for an hour as our rickshaw was waiting and we felt it was not enough. Next day Taj Mahal was open for visits again and we went for the second time, but from a different entrance point. When in Agra I would definately return to this Villa. Hopefully we will come back soon. Thanks a lot for your hospitality.

Hello from Maplewood, New Jersey! Vasu went out of his way to welcome us to his hotel right from the start. Our modern spacious room had very comfortable beds and pillows. The en-suite bathroom had a shower with very good water pressure and organic bathing products. There was a gathering area on each floor that felt like a tidy living room. The kitchen team made each meal feel special and aimed to please. Vasu would check in with us during meals and we could pick his brain for help with logistics to make our site-seeing more efficient and enjoyable. There was also a nicely curated selection of high quality giftable items in the front lobby. I enjoyed the minimal approach of very little clutter and modern lines of the decor. There were some nice tailored touches like composed colorful floating flower heads in a ceramic vessel on the ground. When I asked Vasu if this had significance he said it’s for aesthetics, which I appreciated. Lastly, Vasu checked in with us when we got to the airport to make sure we arrived ok. So, from beginning to end we were cared for well. I would highly recommend the Ekaa Villa Hotel in Agra. -Erinn

We had a fabulous stay. The staff are friendly and welcoming and we slept well in the comfortable bed. The food is delicious, especially the generous thali at dinner and aloo bedai at breakfast..They have made a real effort to embrace eco-friendly ideas which we really appreciated.

This is a thoughtfully decorated hotel, with attention to detail, and also very comfortable. The rooms are large, and beds and chairs are great! They are environmentally conscious too, which shows in their choice of vanities, no bottled water (but filtered water is refilled in beautiful jugs in the room everyday), etc. The food is really delicious and healthy, very different from the usual food at Indian restaurants worldwide. Their in-house mixologist makes fantastic cocktails! They provide thoughtful suggestions to match your needs, interests, and plans for your stay in Agra. The service is excellent and the staff is very friendly.

I recently spent one night in Agra for the sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal. While the entrance to the hotel was difficult to spot at night, causing my driver to circle the area a few times, the reception staff made up for it with their warm welcome and helpfulness, immediately making me feel at home.
The room was comfortable and spacious, with a tea/coffee kettle and bottled water. However, I would have appreciated an extra layer of comforter/cover/blanket instead of just sheets on the bed. The bed linen was hard. And bath towels needed updating.
The biggest letdown was the breakfast. While the set menu looked promising, some items, like the jam and butter, appeared to have been reused, and the slices of cakes looked very dry and unappetizing. I chose the Indian crapes, which was tasty, but the orange juice was canned (clearly stated on the menu) which was filled with sugar, and though the chai was pleasant, I wished for a stronger flavor. Given the reputation of their kitchen, I had expected more. (INR790++) This is just my feedback based on my expectations and preferences!
On the bright side, the hotel’s proximity to the Taj Mahal made it an ideal location for my visit, and my goal of seeing this world heritage site was successfully achieved.

To begin, the ambiance exudes cozy warmth and a curated aesthetic with numerous tiny details inspired by Indian crafts, fostering a sense of total comfort. The establishment boasts modern amenities and a welcoming staff, from the reception desk to server Jeevan, the chef, and housekeeping staff. While the city boasts numerous 5-star deluxe hotels, this property possesses its own unique charm. I particularly enjoyed their breakfast service, featuring freshly squeezed Kinos sourced locally and served with a choice of fruits, eggs, and the local specialty, aloo bedai. I quickly found my favorite spot in their quaint coffee shop, reminiscent of an English countryside home. The patal ki thal with Indian specialty dishes was a delight, with each entree meticulously crafted and presented. This establishment appeals to all senses, creating a true sense of comfort. While they also offer continental dishes, I didn't have the opportunity to sample them personally. What they do different? Organise experiences for their guests which makes you explore Agra beyond the Taj Mahal I particularly enjoyed the one in which we went around exploring the local crafts of marble inlay and knotted carpets. But they have several others to choose from

We spent 2 nights at Ekkaa and it was amazing. Everything is well organized from breakfast to dinner (we experienced also a typical dance performance and typical music), and also tours. If you are looking a place to experience Agra beside the Taj Mahal, this is the place you are looking for. Thank you very much Udit and your team to make our stay in Agra super.

I stayed at Ekaa Villa, which is Agra’s only boutique hotel situated on Fatehabad Road. They have amazing, colourful 13 rooms across four categories. I liked their minimalistic plastic usage. In each room, you will find glass bottles instead of plastic water bottles. Also in the washroom, they use glass bottles of toiletries instead of plastic ones. Ekaa has amazing food ( Pattal platter is my recommendation and you must try).
Note: Try Ekaa’s Agra Beyond Taj Experience with an unparalleled view of the Taj and taste some street famous food to experience an offbeat Agra.

Only had one night at Ekaa Villa and we were really happy with our brief stay. Room was available straight away so we were able to freshen up after the train journey from Delhi before heading out to start our sight seeing. Room was a decent size with small en-suite shower room but perfectly adequate for our stay. Came back for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the pakoras in particular. Location is close to the Taj Mahal (close enough to walk although we didn’t). Dinner that night was fabulous - lots of delicious home cooked vegetarian delights just kept coming including a wonderful thali and all accompanied by a local musician. Great stay so thank you.

Expressing my deep appreciation for the Ekaa team- specially Udit and Vasu for the concept. We came across this boutique hotel located close to the Taj Mahal while searching for some place unique to stay in Agra and I must say their service is professional, outstanding and dependable .The ambience is super cosy with room of ample size available with or without balcony .The arch above the bed to the frames, cove lightings, headboard, room number plates, mirror ,kettle , upholstery is inspired by the marvelous architectural history of the city. The bed is beautifully constructed with pillows of different sizes, highest quality linen, ultra soft duvet and a plush mattress. The toilet is squeaky-clean with soft towels , hot water, hair dryer and paraben free ,"made in India" toiletries.Minute details like providing a health faucet , special door seals to keep insects away, handmade paintings across the hotel ,using local products, not stuffing the room with tent cards or hotel products, reusing containers as planters in the garden makes the place extraordinary.Lazing around the exterior garden with plants covering the terracotta walls brightened our evenings. The warmth extended is felt throughout and we have surely made some beautiful memories.
Regards Ritu & Joe
