Majestic hotel within splendid grounds dominates the skyline of Jodphur.Peacocks in the beautiful gardens and vintage car collection. Lovely large suites with huge bathrooms. Attentive and friendly service. Excellent food. Hard to beat.

Umaid Bhavan Palace lives upto it's reputation and then some. We loved the experience from walking into the door from warm welcome (Warm smiles and welcome by Manveer made us feel at home immediately and Respect and Love from staff captured our hearts), to toys for our children to "in Room" check in to offering yoghurt before departing (Took me right back to my childhood and nani's house-we were all emotional). Our children are born and brought up in USA and we make a conscious effort to bring them to india and expose them to indian culture. Staff at restaurant on breakfast took special care of us and packed breakfast for kids as we had a sight seeing of city planned on day. Mr. Jabar , Kaushik and Narendar took special care of us that filled our mornings to a great start. Musicians that played Santoor and Tabla during breakfast were amazing and better than any CDs we hear generally. We had missed the tour of the palace in the evening and the front desk staff was gracious enough to conduct a special personal tour of the palace just for our family. Our 12 year old daughter and 6 year old son both loved the property, staff, food, and attention they received. Umaid Bhavan Palace was one of the highlights and topics of our daughter's essay and presentation to her class in USA. We loved every aspect and will return again …

Words cannot begin to describe this hotel. Outside of the very obvious beauty you will see in the photographs, i have never experienced service and care from a team like those at the Umaid. From the moment you book, to the second your trip ends - their number one priority is ensuring you feel like royalty... The "palace experience team" is one of a kind and the ultimate luxury that a hotel could provide it's guests. I tend not to write reviews - however, I cannot recommend this place any higher - so felt like i needed to!

We did a road trip in January this year so we went from Delhi to Agra onto Jaipur then Jodphur and Udiapur over 3 1/2 weeks. The roads are great and we used Driver India Private Tours ( +917838980017) and they provided the excellent vehicle, very professional driver and tour guides when we requested them. Great way to see India.
They do not allow you inside the palace, if you are not staying there. You get access to museum only(public entrance after paying entrance fees). However, at times the palace allows you to make reservation for lunch/dinner at their restaurants(Risala/Pillars). You should call them ahead of time and get confirmation. This will give you access to the palace and its grounds. Hope this helps and good luck!

Our package was inclusive of Hi -tea which was free. Anybody staying in Hotel will get free Hi-tea.
