We visited this places during the pandemic and we were amazed to see the way they kept everything sanitized wherever they can. Talking about the view, trust me photos here are for real and you would never want to come back from this place.Special shoutout to Gokul and his team for everything they are doing with limited staff but they never left any stone unturned to make our stay a memorable one.

My husband and I went to the Aritharappy Falls from Kochi on a day trip. On arriving we wanted to first have coffee and use the washroom before trekking to the falls. We went into a beautiful resort called the Rainforest, which had a stunning panoramic view of the waterfall
The Manager courteously told us they didn’t serve visitors but we could use the washrooms. Post which, we thanked him and moved on.
On our return from the falls, we made a short stop to have a glass of juice at a restaurant. Half way back to Kochi my husband realised he had left his extremely expensive hat at the restaurant.
We could not remember the name of the restaurant but just on a whim I called Mr Thomson, the Manager at the Rainforest and explained the issue.
He immediately reassured me not to worry, asked the location of the restaurant and said he would go himself and check it out. Half an hour later he WhatsApped the photo of the hat and asked- if it was the right one.
Thoroughly shocked we said yes and we thanked him and said would be very grateful if he could have it couriered to us, as we leaving Kerala the next day. He said don’t worry I’ll just despatch a boy to your hotel in Kochi.
Four hours later the boy delivered the (USD 900) hat at our room. I thanked him and compensated him even though he didn’t ask for it.
Mr Thomson has not only become our hero but has proved to us that Kerala is truly God own country with very special people!
Our next stay is definitely in the Rainforest Resorts! ( Baymaas. Lake house , Kochi)

This boutique place has the closest available view of the famous Athirappilly falls, the lounge and the dining area has an uninterrupted, soothing and beautiful feel of the mist and the falls. We were here for lunch and were served Kerala cuisine on banana leaf. Though their website claims to be offering choice of cuisines with prior information, we were told that none of it is available and only Keralite cuisine will be offered, which turned out to be delicious. The location of this boutique property is in midst of thick green forest and closest to the famous falls. A stay for a day may be good for the experience of it. The attitude of the attending staff is quite rigid and not conducive to the guests’ requirements.

Suggest going there during monsoons to get the full impact of the falls. Rooms are normal but all rooms comes with a spectacular view. Since this boutique hotel has only 9 rooms and one tree house, most of the times the tariffs are exorbitant. For travelers who like to have a glass of wine or a beer , please do carry with you as this is a No- alcohol resort. Food is typical Kerala cuisine and I personally would rate it very very tasty. Staff are extremely courteous and friendly.

Altogether it was a very pleasant experience.

We were on our honeymoon trip and got nothing as promised on check-in, on calling twice thrice to reservation lady, receptionist came to know it's due to their improper internal communication. Later a fruit basket which consisted of a big half raw papaya with few bananas and a fruit wine was provided to us. Rooms were not very spacious but yes they were well maintained and view from the balcony of the waterfall was spectacular.
Next day we reserved the tree house which was no doubt beautiful but maintenancewise it was very poor, we agree its a tree house and insects, lizards are expected but at least some measures should have been taken to control the pest also there were no lightnings around the tree house and it's isolated as well. No in room telephone in was available in case of emergency.

F&B was okaish, but will not comment much as they follow Kerala cuisine and I am not a very big fan of it.

Staffs strength was low which made a person do multiple tasks hence this reflects in their efficiency, hospitality and accuracy.

The hotel is designed well in a very good location.

Not very far from Kochi, as one starts their tour in Kerala, this resort is situated at just an hour drive from Kochi Airport and rest can only be experienced by visitin’ here! The Athirapilly waterfalls which also housed the team of the movie Bahubali for the song Dheevara, is right in front of the hotel lobby and the balcony of all the rooms. It feels like the entire waterfalls are a part of the hotel. Havin’ tea, breakfast, meals at this place overlookin’ the falls is like sitting at its very foot with its zzz sound and enjoying the breeze. Though, there was a slight discomfort for ala’ carte as we were along with kids and they have a set Kerali menu, John had been a great help by gettin’ few things out of menu for the kids. Rooms are spacious and food is good too.

Gorgeous view, waterfalls can be seen from all rooms and dining area. And what a sight to behold! Awesome food- an early, delicious Onasadya for us. Great Service - all the staff was friendly and made us feel at home. Yoga session in the morning was rejuvenating! But won't recommend taking the services of the guide (not attached to the hotel) to go down to get a closer glimpse of the waterfalls. It is overpriced & you can take that walk yourself. 750 for half an hour!! Made the mistake of not asking the price before we started. Still, would highly recommend a holiday in Rainforest!

The place looks pretty in pictures and they claim pricing of a 5 star but service is extremely sub-standard. We asked for tea after lunch at 2:30 and they said a flat no.The room furniture is old and dirty and generally not worth the price they are charging. Not coming back or recommending to anyone.

Rainforest situated at the heart of athirapally should be on the bucket list of any traveller, trust me I have been to athirapally before but was never able to witness it's view like the one I got from this beautiful resort, as the name itself says, an experiential resort with lot of activities to keep us occupied throughout the stay. The hospitality team lead by Gokul is the essense of this resort, right from the reservation till the checkout they make sure we were awestruck, seriously that's how well they took care of us. This property has the best view of the falls, I can't even remember from where I was not able to see the falls, right from the lobby to the bathroom 😂. The food was a set menu( amazing kerala cuisine ) which was even altered according to our preference. Can't wait to visit this place during the monsoon. It sure is the Niagara falls of India.

Sharing some moments from our stay at the property.

We stayed in their celestial room, which had beautiful view of the Athirapalli waterfalls.
The continuous roaring of the waterfalls with the complimentary foot massage was so so relaxing.
The room had jacuzzi which we enjoyed.
They offer u kerala cuisine for all meals-very tasty and what adds to it is the view of waterfalls.
Staff is humble, helpful and soft spoken.
The waterfalls entry ticket counter is just 2 mins away from the resort.
They also have their herbal tea for sale- u can buy and njoy at ur own place.
Overall, very nice experience… would definitely like to visit again and recommend others to stay..
