It is set amidst Gardens of lush greenery, tropical flowers and natural teak forests in a quiet but central part of Thekkady, where a wide range of wild animals are frequent visitors. All the Rooms are simply furnished, yet hold elegance in their unique and individual style. Each being decorated by Artists from all over the world. In a relaxing ambiance our Cafe offers a varied menue of Italian and Middle eastern cuisine. We serve complimentary continental breakfast. The Rooftop Pool and Lounge area provides a peaceful atmosphere with stunning views of the Western Ghats. Our spacious Yoga studio is open for self practice, classes and long term retreats. Note, that we there are serveral stairs to take to reach the Hotel building and we do not have an elevator.

Had apprehensions when I booked the hotel, however everything was thrown out of the window as soon as we arrived. The amazing Adil and his crew were just incredible. Everything was explained on how things work there, asked us our preferences - and we at home within the next hour. As we explored the place it resonated the love with which it's been set-up and maintained. There is no TV - which is great, as the entertainment is outside and not in the rooms. Rooms are very well maintained and has all the necessary things for a comfortable stay. The breakfast included in the price hits the right spot - our fav was the homemade peanut butter, chocolate spread and the jams. Yum! We had an amazing experience at Chrissie's! The hotel managers were incredibly helpful and organised multiple activities for us while we were in Thekkady. The hotel itself was lovely - the rooms were large & comfortable, with a great balcony overlooking the surrounding nature. The lounging area & pool at the top of the hotel was a great place to hang out.

Chrissie's was one of the best hotels we encountered on our two-month journey. Beyond their beautifully landscaped property and comfortable rooms, what really stood out was the warmness of their staff and commitment to helping their guests. Even before we arrived, they were super responsive by WhatsApp and were able to answer some critical questions we had about our overnight trek in Periyar National Park (which has very limited info online!). They also let us freshen up after the overnight trip which was super helpful before proceeding onwards to our next destination. During our time in Thekkady, we discovered that we had a serious misunderstanding with our driver about payment and billing. Antony at front desk spent an enormous amount of time and effort helping us to navigate the language barrier and conflict between us and the transportation company. We honestly wouldn't have been able to resolve the situation without his help and are so grateful for his support. He even arranged alternative transport to our next city. YOU HAVE TO STAY AT CHRISSIE's!! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed with the warmest and hospitable welcome by the owner Adel and instantly felt at home. The hotel itself is beautiful, with balconies that overlook an amazing garden with beautiful trees where you see lots of wildlife like monkeys and birds. The breakfast was delicious, with a great spread of things and the pool is just dreamy. They organised a bamboo rafting trek for us which was great and made things very easy for us. The main highlight for us though was the staff and we will always remember Chrissie's as a very special place because of them! Thank you!!

A group of 4 friends we spent 3 nights at the Chrissie's Hotel. We are extremely happy with the rooms each with a balcony overlooking a gorgeous garden full of life - birds, monkeys, squirrels. You can enjoy it for hours! Great breakfast and some of the foods (jams, honey) are produced by the owner of the hotel - Chrissy! But the most valuable of this hotel are the people who work there. I cannot express my huge appreciation to the other owner Adel who literally organized our stay in Thekkady in the best possible way. All the time we stay at the hotel we feel like we visit friends. I highly recommend the property and I should add also that the prices are very reasonable.

Excellent place to stay and very warm reception and support from staff and facilities provided by them was extremely very good. Had a good break fast menu and ambiance was simply very good. Rooms were very well maintained.

I had a few days this year in Chrissie's Hotel and it was beautiful. The Manager Adel and Ulli are super friendly and helpful as well as the rest of the whole staff. Loved it chatting with Adel at the front desk. The rooms are cosy and the hotel is between beautiful trees. Very green. There are colorful birds around and sometimes you can watch Malabar Giant Squirrels in the trees from your balcony. I liked the breakfast a lot. It was a mix between German and Indian breakfast. The pool and the couch area on the rooftop was great for relaxation. If you want to come to Kumily I would definitely recommend this place.

It was so wonderful to be greeted with the most enthusiastic welcome when I arrived. Adel, the owner sets the bar so high in hospitality- nothing is a problem or too much trouble and he and all the staff at the hotel create such a relaxed amd positive atmosphere. The rooms are great- super clean and everything you need - with the joy of watching the black monkeys from the balcony. I loved the rooftop space and the yoga classes with such a lovely yoga teacher in a dedicated airy yoga room within the hotel. Adel and his team were brilliant at recommending and helping me to book activities. They also ensured a lovely fruit/ muesli/ delicious homemade bread breakfast was available in time for some very early starts. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I will definitely be back, there is something very special about it that makes you feel so happy and relaxed.…

What a great place to stay! Everything about it was fantastic. It offers a rooftop pool, yoga space, buffet breakfast and a chill out space with couches. There is art all over the walls which adds so much character. The owner was really hospitable and we absolutely loved our stay. Oh I forgot to mention, we also spotted monkeys, squirrels, bird and even a porcupine from our room. Would highly recommend this place.
