Wow, this place is a slice of paradise. Your own private island, only 12 other bure’s on it, so you feel secluded. We have a 5 star mega resort booked for the last few days, but the family doesn’t want to leave. They have a huge water park, non motorized sports, breakfast, a pool, bouncy castle, pool table, foosball, air hockey and more all for free. Free transfers to the mainland for free that runs 24hrs. Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way. They brought us wifi in our room, fixed my wife’s shoes, and took us on a free sunset cruise. Owner is a gem and really cares for his guests. Staff work hard to clean the beach from garbage from mainland and it’s clean and ready by about 9am every morning. Late night swimming allowed. Amazing food and drinks, especially the pizza. Do yourself a favour and stay here. Saves you $600-800 from visiting a private island for a day tour, might as well stay on a private island for the same price.

This is just wonderful...and you know it from the moment you step off the boat. My husband and i only wish we had booked for longer. In a short five minutes you're whisked from the hustle and bustle of Lautoka to what is literally a slice of paradise. A tiny island resort with a stretch of white sand and a big heart. The welcome is warm and genuine - as is the whole experience. The meals are generous, fresh and tasty (the breakfast fried bread!). The bule are large and comfortable. The beach is at your doorstep. The sea is calm, the kayaks free to use (we were out and about each and every day). Theres a nice wee pool and deck area. The bar does wonderful cocktails and the barstaff are friendly. When we visited in the low season there were only a handful of overnight visitors, so we felt special as if this was our very own island for a few short days. By the time we got a personal farewell song from Atu and his staff we were in love with Belo Vula and its charming laidback style. Would recommend for its accessibility, covenience, friendly people and super-relaxed atmosphere.

This place was beautiful. A peaceful getaway not too far from the city. This was a great place to disconnect. The food and service were amazing. BEAUTIFUL sunrise and set. I can't wait to go back!! Breakfast was included with some water activity.

The staff was very friendly but the rooms were quite dirty, the pool was seemingly closed (had caution tape around it), and some advertised amenities were not available (spa). We left after one night and tried and failed to get a refund for the rest of our stay.
It seems like this place used to be great, but must have fallen into a serious state of disrepair during the pandemic. For the price being charged, you'd at least expect non-stained sheets and hot water showers.

The staff are the only reason to stay here. This resort has changed ownership and it is clear there is on interest in the guests having a great experience. It is a real shame as it is easy to get to. The food was average. The accommodations were nice overall. There were private groups eating at night so it was not easy to get dinner and was uncomfortable as if we were intruding. The pool was filthy and unusable. Again, the staff were amazing and did their very best to help us enjoy the experience as best we could. Very disappointing. I would not recommend until some major improvement are made.

A picture tells a thousand words. If you are happy to stay here you are welcome. We left after one night. Management and owner would not speak to us about the issues so have effectively taken our $1140 AUD and provided nothing.

Have been here before and it Used to be great.... However, I Attended a birthday party recently and was not impressed. - Waterpark not inflated - pool murky and dirty - room had broken door handle and leaking aircon - jetty no longer has a security so by the time we got back to our car that was parked at the jetty, we found deep scratches on the car. We were not the only ones. Seems like people loitering around the area get a kick out if making scratches on parked vehicles. This place has a lot of potential...maybe a change of management is required.

The place was run down. The Island was littered with rubbish. Their big boat was on its side waiting to be repaired. The owners didn’t seem to care. The staff were all lovely and went out of their way to help. Unfortunately I couldn’t recommend this ‘resort”

We arranged a little boat to get us there to spend the day coming from a cruise. The pool and beach are both very well taken care of and relaxing. Try the fish and the fresh coconut. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

I stayed at Belo Vula during the week and I must say it is really good value for money. The resort I was booked in was over booked and i found them by fluke.
The rooms are spacious enough for 4 people even though there were only 2 of us. Next time I am in Lautoka for business or the weekend I will bring the whole family as I can go about doing my work in town and mum can goo shopping whilst the kids (13 & 15yrs) just hang around the resort swimming snorkeling and going kids stuff. The staff were really friendly they make this resort happen. If you are a guest the boat trips are free so you can go across as many times as you like and if you give them notice they will have the boat man pick you up late. ( ihad the late night with business associates and did not finish till 1030pm snd the boat still ran for us. Thanks again Belo Vula and staff see you in 2 weeks time with the family.

Hello rcreek53,
I presume you’re asking about getting from Nadi Airport to Lautoka and then the jetty for the boat transfer to Belo Vula.
The easiest way will be taxi. Fiji taxis are not expensive. My wife and I travelled from the Belo Vula jetty to Nadi airport in September this year and the cost was just under F$25. Compared with the hassle of buses or shuttles and with luggage it was well worth it. I would suggest checking the fare before you engage a taxi as I am sure (like in every city) there will be taxi drivers who know the long way to get there.
The taxi driver may not be familiar with the location of the Belo Vula jetty as it is away from the main wharf area (nearer the town). We found some local taxi (Lautoka based) drivers weren’t sure where it was.
The jetty is on Marine Drive, Lautoka about 100 metres ( that’s a guess but it’s not far) from the Tanoa Hotel (on the Nadi side of Tanoa).
If you phone (or get your taxi to phone) they will have their boat waiting for you. They have a man on the jetty during normal hours.
I’m pretty sure they have paddle boards at Belo Vula- there were a couple there which I thought were for hire. No tour desk as such, but ask at the bar and I think you’ll find they can arrange tours and if they can’t they will certainly point you in the right direction.
On reflection, I would call Belo Vula and see if they can arrange taxis or a shuttle to meet you at Nadi. The team at Belo Vula are most helpful. Enjoy your stay.
Cheers JohnS
"Don't over pack, bring bug spray, keep the boat taxi number , ensure any additional accommodations are email to make it easier. Don't be afraid to take the bus to Nadi."
There are more places to choose from in the Lautoka area.
