Nestled in Makadi Bay, the Cleopatra Luxury Resort is celebrated for its immaculate cleanliness and lively atmosphere. Guests are charmed by the spacious, well-kept rooms with pleasing views and an array of amenities, including diverse pools and activities that cater to all ages.
While the evening entertainment adds to the relaxed ambiance, some guests caution against high-pressure sales tactics, particularly at the spa. Service is generally outstanding, marked by a warm and helpful staff, although a few travelers have encountered unresponsiveness.

Detailed Reviews
I’ve visited the hotel several times before and decided to go again once flights from the UK restarted, having been reassured that the hotel had obtained the required hygiene certificate very quickly when hotels reopened.
I was pleased to see the new processes in place to protect guests and staff - all staff wearing masks, frequent cleaning, tables and sun loungers placed at appropriate distances etc - I felt very safe. Same good selection of buffet food but protected by screens with servers to put it on your plate. Cutlery was presented in sealed packages to ensure hygiene.
All the staff were wonderful as usual, they really can’t do enough for you and are the reason I keep returning. I received such a warm welcome and felt like I was treated like royalty throughout my stay.
Unfortunately for the hotel they were less than 50% occupied, such a shame when they’re working so hard to create a safe environment. Hopefully things will improve soon and get back to normal. I will be returning as soon as possible.

It was definitely great place to relax after two month of lockdown. Huge area and lack of people. So we felt like VIP guests! There are plenty of to do start from fly yoga and aqua aerobic and finish with archery and tennis courts. To our pleasure gym was opened and there are a lot of equipment there. Animation team was very nice and unobtrusive. We had fun in the evening playing ping pong, darts and billiards. On the entrance to the restaurant before every meal they checked our temperature and disinfected hands. The food was delicious and varied. Every day different menu. There were four or five people serving us during the meal and flying around like butterflies exceeded our expectations. We had big, light and tidy seaview room which were disinfected with chlorine every day.Thank you for hospitality we had really fantastic holiday.

Great location with excellent facilities. Hotel was nearly fully booked but so spacious that it didnt feel crowded. Outside restaurant staff Ahmed and Mohammed were so friendly and spent time on the little details for example coffee waiting on our table as they saw us entering the restaurant at breakfast and wine on the table at lunch and dinner always served with a huge smile and humour. Our beachfront room was perfect and again great attention to detail with flower petals on the bed and vase of flowers on the table and perfectly cleaned every day. This was the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel and we will hopefully be able to return in 2022.

We stayed as a family of four with two children 17 & 19 over new year and found the hotel very clean but only really a 3 star its not posh or fancy in any way but it is a large place layed out over a large area.
On arrival to the hotel they put you through a metal detector that is so funny, no one cares if the thing goes off or not you just walk off to the reception who then hand you a piece of paper to fill or your details in , didn't even offer a pen … it was as if they could not be bothered to take the details they just got you to do it. We then got the club car to the room where they said that's your room up there got the bags off and drove off, they kept wanting tips for everything , if they would have carried the cases up I think everyone would tip them for the service , too be fair I like a bit of exercise so was more than happy but if you were an older person.
The hotel has lovely gardens ,pools apart from the tiles around the pool that are lethal with wet feet, we saw loads of people going over. It is dated , its like a three star hotel from the 90's they keep saying luxury but its not.
Staff are pretty much happy and smiley and always happy to help even the gardeners wish you a good morning.
As for the trips and spa stuff they drive you mad all day constantly approaching you with this deal and that, even offered me a camel for my daughter.
So its 90% full of Germans but I am ok with that, its on the beach what is good but it is about 6/7 mile outside the City so if you want to shop and have a look round its a bit of a trek , taxi will cost £10 each way ohh and you have to barter for everything its a nightmare, you even have to barter for a fridge magnet, they would sell loads more if the put prices on things as people hate the whole bartering thing on the whole, just cant be bothered so don't shop.
The food, well there's plenty of it but its not fine dining chips ,pizza, stews, rice, all the normal stuff you would expect , I did think breakfast wasn't up to much so had bread, cheese and sliced meats that was a nice change.
So to sum it up its a nice enough place for a rest, clean & tidy but nothing different from other hotels in the area so would try another one if we returned to Egypt one day.
One final thing the pools were so cold over new year no one dared.

My wife and I booked an all inclusive, two week stay at the Cleopatra Luxury Resort Makadi Bay via TUI. We chose the hotel primarily for its location as we are keen snorkelers and the hotel has great access to some superb coral reefs. It also has several large swimming pools including a huge activity pool for exercise as well as heated feature pools. As it was my wife's 60th birthday, I mentioned this beforehand in order to take advantage of the fine dining experience on her birthday. Not only did the staff accommodate this request and give my wife an evening to remember, we also received a room upgrade which made the whole trip extra special. We had never done an all inclusive before and the Cleopatra Luxury Resort Makadi Bay surpassed all our expectations! From start to finish the service was outstanding! The staff couldn't be more accommodating and friendly. The resort itself lives up to its five star status. The food was wonderful. The range was breathtaking and the presentation was incredible! Also, food and drink was available throughout the day (and into the small hours) around the venue. Always served with such care and hospitality. A special thank you to our two cleaners who were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were impeccable and cleaned daily if required and towels and bedding were changed frequently. The snorkelling also surpassed our expectations. We swam in the sea every day and had the most magical experiences in the water. We also took advantage of the snorkelling tours which are available from the hotel. We also took a TUI VIP snorkelling cruise which we would also highly recommend. Another excursion which was organised via the TUI rep was a day trip to Luxor. This was also a fantastic and unique experience. Again, the staff made us feel safe and looked after every detail. We would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning!

We spent four weeks at this resort in January/February this year and we were very impressed indeed. Whilst some of the buildings and furnishings are getting tired, they are always clean and there is a current refurbishment programme going on and I’m sure this will resolve any issues
Two main assets here are the location on the sea, the amount of space around the complex(this is a large hotel) and the staff. Not only are the people in all areas very good and helpful, the management structure allows these people to resolve issues and do what is needed to satisfy the guest.
The restuarant food is very good and sufficiently varied to satisfy our length of stay.
We will without question be returning again.

This hotel is not just amazing it is extraordinary in terms of service standards and activities, the hotel staff are super friendly, we were welcomed by Emad from the reception team who explained to us everything and showed us almost all the facilities availble at the hotel, he took us through our honey moon package details and made sure we planned our room breakfast and Romantic dinner.
Anwar took us to the room and even the concierge staff who take you to your room know what is customer service and are very friendly, we really had the best time ever at this hotel.
The hotel has every thing you need, 4 pools, 2 of them are to relax, there is even a shop where you can buy floating devices and they will make sure it is inflated for you.
There is a small market to buy clothes, spices and simple shower items that you will need during your stay, there is also a souvenirs shop.
The water activities center staff are very professional and they know what they are doing, from Tiger the person who books the trip to the guys who take you to the snorkling and diving trips, they speak several languages to accomodate different tourists.
There is also a station to do beach buggy safari (a 2 hrs trip) through the Hurghada dunes, affordable and enjoyable, they guys are very friendly and they will do their best to make you happy and satisfied.
The italien restaurant at the hotel is just amazing, the chef is very professional and he made our dinner the best ever.
If you go to Makadi, you have to stay at this hotel, their renewed rooms are amazing, the facility is amazing and the staff is the best ever.

The hotel provided all that we were looking for, which was time to relax by the pool or on the beach,
The service from the reception was excellent, including the waiter service in the restaurant, we were always greeted with a smile. The restaurant provided a excellent selection of food for all our meals
The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided.
Outside fresh beach/pool towels were available on a daily basis and there was always an attendant there to lay the towels on the sun lounger and open the sunshade umbrella.
Finally the ladies on the customer help desk and the hotel management were always available to offer any advice.
The service from the reception was excellent, including the waiter service in the restaurant, we were always greeted with a smile. The restaurant provided a excellent selection of food for all our meals

Visited for my husband’s 5Oth birthday. We had a lovely room which was more than big enough for the 3 of us. We could see the sea from our terrace. The room was always kept spotless and a nice touch that sometimes we came back to flowers on the bed. A fresh bottle of water was left everyday also. We had a delivery of a cake from the hotel for my husbands birthday. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful and well maintained. The jetty was great for snorkelling off. My husband/daughter also did a snorkelling trip through the dive centre which was very reasonably priced. Plenty of beds on the beach. They also provide you with towels so no need to take your own. Get a red flag if you don’t want to be bothered by sales people. The staff were all friendly. We were given vouchers for 2 Al a carte meals. The fish one was okay ( 2 of us not keen on fish) but the Italian one was fantastic. We didn’t use the pools as preferred to be on the beach but the pool at the halfway bar had a inflatable course on it which seemed pretty well used and was causing lots of fun.
Now for the negatives. The Wi-Fi is pretty awful and the food I would say is average. You would be very picky if you couldn’t find anything to eat but we just found it pretty repetitive and probably aimed more at the German clientele. All in all a great holiday.
