Such a wonderful lovely house with nice garden & jacuzzi! Very nice, quiet and private home. Super clean. Has television and the air conditioning. Kitchen well-equipped and suitable to prepare any meal. Being very organized with the other guests.
...it's just that I wouldn't recommend booking here. Because, as we found out the hard way, booking this place, and PAYING for this place, is no guarantee that you actually get to stay in this place. My friend booked this place. Her booking went through, confirmed, and her credit card was charged. After all that, she received a message that this place was actually not available, and that they would put us in a comparable property. In retrospect, we should have immediately said no and demanded compensation. Instead, we made the mistake of agreeing, and we stayed almost a week in a property that was not comparable at all. A snapshot of the property they put us in instead of Summer House... The air conditioning (a large reason for paying for Summer House) did not operate during the day time. There was no kitchen access whatsoever (another large reason for paying for Summer House). The room was smaller and simpler. The water pressure was much much weaker, and the plumbing didn't work at all one night. The location was further from the center. It was in no way a bad place to stay -- we would have been more than happy staying there if we were charged appropriately. However, it was not at all comparable to Summer House, and we should have demanded more information up front so that we would have known we absolutely deserved a refund. To add insult to injury, once we were settled in to the other location, we were contacted at 2pm one day with the news that we needed to move right away. I didn't have my phone with me, so I didn't find this out until around 9pm. I was in bed while my friend showered, I turned on my phone, and I found about 30 whatsapp messages asking where we were and demanding we move immediately because a family was moving into our room at midnight that night. We were completely caught off guard. Originally when we were told we'd be staying in this secondary property, they told us we could move to Summer House for our last few nights. They had never followed up on this, and we had never followed up on this. We assumed it was no longer on the table. By the time we were made to pack our things and move, we had already come to terms with the secondary property: unpacked, settled in, etc. We reached a compromise on the timing, but still had to move, and early the next morning we were made to carry our large packs and walk to Summer House. Summer House itself was lovely. It did have air conditioning all day, kitchen access, and everything else for which we were paying this high price tag. And as annoying as the whole ordeal was, it certainly didn't ruin our vacation. San Andres is a lovely place, and we spent much more time outside the room than in it. But I would not feel good about giving them business, even if there were some way of making sure you could actually stay in this nicer property before they charged your credit card.…
