We arrived to be greeted by the receptionist who was very bothered that our Spanish was not up to par. She became very short and rude to us as we went through the check in process, rolling her eyes several times. We made it through check in and we're escorted to our room, which was decent. The walls looked as if they had never been washed (what looked like blood on one wall of the room...yikes!). We struggled to find a decent WiFi signal on the 2nd floor in our room, so we could barely use the Internet as the signal was very shotty. So we we left for dinner and drinks and arrived back at the hotel around 10pm to find the front door of the hotel locked and nobody in sight. After knocking and waiting for about 20 mins an employee finally arrived and opened the door without saying a word. We struggled to find our room in the dark hallways as there are no lights leading to the rooms. After a nights rest, we had the same receptionist who was once again very short and rude to us during the checkout process. Luckily we were only in this dump for one night...…

Coming to Colombia for business, I was only one night there. For those not prepared for Colombia's weather it is very difficult dream without conditioning air. The room I use wasn't comfortable at all and they haven't hot water. To pay the room, must get COL pesos. They do not change US$.

While the area doesn't look great, it's great for a stopover if you're visiting other areas of Colombia. Great prices and excellent service. We arrived at 10pm and they still had three people making sure we all had everything we needed. Recommended

The staff were very helpful in the hotel, however: Hotel is supposed to have wi-fi - didn't work for 2 days - when it did it dropped out repeatedly. Not much use for trip researching. Hotel has air con (a must in Buca) - didn't work - we got a fan. Hotel has hot water - I guess "hot" IS a relative term ... so if you were comparing the water temp to, say, a block of ice ... you might consider it hot.
