I booked this hotel through Ctrip at a very reasonable price-three star price for a five star hotel.
1) Room
We booked the deluxe room which is large. It includes a big bathtub for two persons in the balcony. Decor is pleasant and cosy. Toilet is large and towels are thick.
2) Breakfast
There is a wide selection and includes both western and chinese food. There are four types of noodles to choose and are cooked on the spot. The egg station also provides freshly cooked eggs in a variety of styles. There are also many kinds of bread, fruits, cereals, sushi etc. Waffles are delicious.
3) Service
The reception is friendly and efficient. However no one helps us to transfer our luggages to our room.
4) Environment
The garden is well-landscaped and swimming pool is of a sufficient size. One can take a lift near to the swimming pool to -3 and one will be at road level. From here it is an easy walk of about 15 mins to the Datonghai beach which has a boardwalk with many restaurants by the beach. There are also many supermarkets on the way there. it is situated in a vey safe area.
Flight and check-in: We flew on a tour from Biblio Globus, flight by Aeroflot. The arrival was very early, at 2:30, so we asked the tour operator for the cost of early check-in - it turned out to be 7,760 rubles for two with breakfast. According to the welcoming guide, early check-in is actually equal to the cost of a day and varies depending on the hotel category, if you pay on the spot, then from 600-700 yuan in “simpler” hotels and up to 1200 yuan or more in Mariott-class hotels, and check-in subject to availability of a room of the reserved category. There is nowhere to sleep in this hotel until the required check-in time. We paid in advance according to the invoice, and we did the right thing, because... we were taken to the hotel only at 5:30 and the staff practically did not speak English, and it would be extremely inconvenient to find out the cost of check-in early in the morning and pay extra on the spot, without having yuan on hand.
No deposit was requested upon check-in.
We got back at 01:00, got to the airport quickly, but at the entrance everyone was marinated until the flight arrived - that is, practically until 2:30 -2:40.
Room: We booked a standard room with a city view. We got the impression that they upgraded us for free. We lived in room 8025 on the 8th floor overlooking the city. Double room.
The first room had a sofa, 2 armchairs, a TV, a desk, a bar counter, a kettle, a table for a tea ceremony with all the attributes, an ashtray, a bathroom at the entrance (only a sink and toilet), and a balcony with chairs. There is no refrigerator! (but we were aware of this, because we read the reviews).
In the second room: TV, king-size bed with a hard mattress, 4 pillows (too high, our necks hurt), bedside tables and an adapter for European sockets, a fumigator with tablets (stocks were replenished), a wardrobe, an iron, an ironing board, a safe, gas masks, waffle robes, TV, tables, a full bathroom with a toilet, shower, sink, towels (toothbrushes, toothpastes, shower gel, liquid soap, shampoo and hair conditioner are available daily), towels were changed daily, there was a basket for dirty laundry, a hairdryer (didn’t use it, it looked like a buzzer), your own balcony - with a bathtub and a sun lounger, as well as a clothes dryer. The bathtub is deep, but small, with a height of 167 you can fit diagonally.
Both rooms have separate split systems that can be turned on and off.
The plumbing in the room is all new, but the wallpaper is tired. Cleaning was done daily, they brought from 4 to 6 bottles of water. Among the minuses, we can highlight the lack of a refrigerator, insufficient lighting - it’s downright dark, practically no mirrors - they are there, but they’re all darkened, the only mirror in the bathroom is a small round cosmetic one. Otherwise, everything is fine.
Wi-Fi and Internet: excellent, works both in the room and throughout the hotel. We used hitvpn without problems in foreign and Russian services. If you want Internet everywhere, then you can buy a 40 GB SIM card from a hotel guide with the possibility of distributing Internet for 130-150, or buy from local help, or buy a tourist SIM card at the head office of China Telecom next to Sanya People's hospital for 7 days - 85 15 GB, or for 15 days 30GB for 125yu on a foreign passport. The SIM card is blocked automatically after the specified period. (we took exactly this one, because we are not looking for easy ways))
Washing: The hotel has a laundry service, we used it, if you check it out before 12:00 of the current day, then everything will be washed and dried and returned to the closet by 18:00 of the same day, if later, then the next morning. You can order ironing and dry cleaning separately. To use it, you need to go to the reception, they will call the staff and he will take the things, pay at the reception upon delivery of the laundry. Prices vary depending on the type of clothing and the fabric from which it is made.
Hotel accessibility: You can get to the hotel by elevator (some people write that you have to “go up the hill” - this is not so), the sea is 10-15 minutes away by walking. There is a public transport stop in the direction of Sanya 500 meters away.
Pool:
small, unheated, wooden sun loungers - there are no mattresses on them, it’s impossible to lie down. In the evenings, they were always busy with Chinese people coming to swim in the pool.
Breakfast: from 07:30 to 13:30, the composition of the dishes changes somewhere around 10:30 -11:00, at this time there is more variety and meat dishes and the assortment is more similar to lunch.
So, I’ll list what was generally found at breakfast and lunch:
fruits: bananas, mango, melon, agave, pitahaya, oranges
vegetables and greens: lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, corn, red cabbage, pickled vegetables, bok choy, asparagus
meat: beef and lean pork stewed with spices and/or vegetables, kebabs
poultry: breaded chicken breast, chicken wings, duck, chicken skewers
fish and seafood: fried local fish, boiled shrimp, vongole
sausages: chicken and pork sausages, fried bacon, something like sausage,
fast food: fried potato balls, fish nuggets, French fries
cheeses: none, only tofu
side dish: rice with vegetables, fried noodles, boiled noodles (you need to ask the cook to cook it by poking at it)
eggs: boiled and fried (from the cook)
dumplings: baozi (dumplings) are eaten at breakfasts in the morning with meat and vegetable fillings, the dumplings are boiled by the cook in front of you (just point at them)
soups: there are some local ones - haven’t tried them
breakfast cereals: cereals and all sorts of sweet toppings in the form of balls, nuts, candies, milk and yoghurts available
baked goods: various donuts, biscuits, buns, Viennese waffles, muffins
drinks: black tea, coffee beans (milk available), juices
cutlery: forks, knives, spoons, chopsticks
Overall, an excellent hotel in its category.
hotel, green. The rooms have a good mattress and pillows. Bed linen and towels are white and changed every day. In the room there is an electric kettle, 2 tea pairs and boats, rubber flip-flops and waffle robes (small shabby). Every day two bottles of water, good tea bags. There are no problems with detergents. Good quality water in the tap for washing and kettle. Before your trip, I recommend having the Maps.me application, a translator who will translate without the Internet, and the WeChat application (together Viber and Telegram). Everything related to Google does not work or is working with problems. Yandex and Instagram work. It is better to take some amount in yuan with you so as not to have problems right away. You can withdraw from the card at ATMs (not very profitable), in hotels the rate is not favorable. In shops and small sellers only yuan; for large purchases they take dollars at a good rate. I recommend it for active people. Excellent holiday. Pay attention only to the season.
