First of all, I would like to say that we booked the superior oceanview room type. They gave us a room with a view of the rooftops of the buildings and a little bit of the sea, which can be seen through the air conditioners. The hotel is good, worthy of 5ka, cleaned daily very high quality, towels are white and soft, the bed is also chic, although everywhere you can smoke, but there is no smell. The pool on the 5th floor outside is nice. The beach is given daily yellow towels, also clean and soft. Air conditioning works well, very evenly. Shower facilities are complete. Bathrobes, slippers and rubber showers and soft regular. Ironing board and iron with very good steaming. Breakfasts are as varied and extensive as lunches, many things are eaten and first courses like noodles with different additives, pastries, duck and fried and smoked always, different mushrooms and vegetables, fruit: always watermelon, melon, guava, less often maracuya, pear. Dumplings, gyoji, coffee, tea, juices. The guides are Chinese, but they are always in the hotel and speak good Russian, the staff does not speak Russian or English. Now all the way to Hainan. Then we went to Yalong Bay, which is of course the poshest place to go. There are buoys, but the beach is huge and the buoys are at a decent depth and far from the shore. Well, the hotels are more expensive and the food. For food we went a lot (including the night market), but ended up staying either to eat in Pineapple or in the evening at the market near Pineapple. Different squid, octopus, baked oysters and Beijing-style duck. Ice cream is cool, smoothies and fruit. Very delicious Hainan pineapples and maracuya (pineapples are small, and maracuya is green and sweet, unlike the usual one, which is sour), they grow only here. My partner and I booked this hotel using a well-known online booking agency, but later found a better deal on another booking agency. We used the former booking agency's free cancellation, but the hotel had already withdrawn the money for whatever reason. In fact, as soon as the original booking was made, the hotel rushed to withdraw the money. This makes little sense to me when you're offering free cancellation.
A few weeks later, we went to the hotel for our stay (booked via the second agency), where they assured us the money would be returned soon. Well, here we are 1.5 months (45 DAYS!) since the booking was cancelled, and they are still lying about having returned our money. Communication is also very difficult, due to the hotel customer service barely speaking any English. BEWARE!
Cannot recommend due to severe lack of professionalism and customer care.

We are on vacation with Edem Travel in Hainan, June 2024. Xianya, Dadonghai Hotel. The hotel is not bad, but it is not a beach hotel at all, there is no beach infrastructure, the pool is often closed, in the rain and sometimes for no reason. The beach next to the hotel is often closed when the waves and jellyfish, if the waves are a meter long, don’t even allow you to approach the water, they whistle, everything is designed for the Chinese, who often do not know how to swim, neither the hotel nor the bay nearby is suitable for a beach holiday and swimming.
