I stayed for 2 nights with my husband.
When We went out for dinnner, we asked the staff to call a taxi, but they didn't.
We had to wait at the lobby.

We can use free-wifi not only at lobby but also in each guest room.
In guest room, some moquitoes. But pyrethrum coil leaves for guests.
Breakfast is reasonable, especially bean-paste bun is good.

There are no supermarkets, restaurants, around this hotel.
It takes about 20 minutes from this hotel to central of Sanya by taxi.

This is not what one would expect from a five star hotel. While it's pretty big and has adequate facilities, the service level is awkwardly low and I doubt there has ever been any maintenance in the rooms. Broken furniture, disgusting broadloom, vermin on the balcony, spiderwebs in the ceiling are only a few of the shocks we encountered at arrival. Actually, we didn't even get help to find our room nor carrying our luggage. They simply directed us to "third floor, turn right" from the lobby.

I suppose it can be summed up like this:

Room: 2/5
Pool: 3/5
Staff friendliness: 2/5
Staff English skills: 1/5
Restaurant: 2/5
Prices: 2/5
Location: 3/5

I almost want to rate this hotel 1/5 because of the dissapointment you feel after checking in and realizing there wasn't any luxury at all here. However, the place has potential, and much so. Hopefully they'll get things straightened up soon and actually try to earn their five stars. Or perhaps this place once was a great hotel, and now is in helpless decay.

Stayed there for the weekend. Very nice weather.. abit too hot. Room rate is affordable as long as you don't make the reservation directly via the hotel. Because hotel rate is 1350RMB for their cheapest room. However if you book the hotel via hotels.com, Expedia or other website. It's cheaper...way cheaper than your expectations.

Our room is the garden view room type. Room settings are nice and comfy. However, the a/c isn't cool enough to take down the heat wave from outside and cool down your body temperature. Although you made the settings to 18'c and high.We made a few contact towards the front desk but they all said to us it takes time to cool. But seriously, after 5 hours turning in the ac, its still feel like it's just turned on. Even the public toilet at the hotel has a colder and stronger AC. So we rang the front desk again and this time they sent the technicians to our room and see and as always they said the same thing but we gave them all the supporting reasons. The end they said they will request the front office to change room for us. After several minutes, they sent the staff to us and brought us to the room next door. The AC obviously is still stronger and have more kicks to cool down the heat... because the room they offer was a connecting room, and we've got a thing that we don't take connecting room..and especially in china. Therefore we rejected it at the end. The staff only told us "ring us if you make up your mind"and left. Well we decided to stay at the same room as they told me if we don't take the connecting room. We have no more rooms with double and queen size bed. Long story short, during our stay, we found out due to our room is located at the back of the hotel floor, so A/c isn't that good for around the area but by the time you start walking closer to the lobby and the central part of the hotel A/C isn't that bad.

Breakfast is good and inclusive. Though I am not used to the grease food but it's still worth to try it. It has more than 30 items at the breakfast buffet.

Swimming pool is huge and very clean. Free to rent all the water goodies. Water isn't too much chlorine in it. So it's all good. I have give them a 2 thumbs up gesture to this pool. You can do more than just practising your swimming skills. You can even being kids to play at the pool which is half size of the pool or some water slides on the other end. This is a done deal.
Hotel location is close to airport more like 1 gold course apart from the airport. However you still need to travel via public transportation. Airport has those taxi, but chinese driver will try to rip you off, the will ask for 50 Rmb for that single trip. But if you go by the meters by honest driver that you will only pay around 21 RMB the most. If you want to take the bus, the go out the the main road and take bus 26 then get off at the third stop from the airport stop change to bus 8. Then you can get to the hotel front gate. Just make sure you have a Chinese print out of the hotel name and full address or screen printing on your phone. Just in case, you can speak or communicate with them in chinese at least they can read what you show them. Overall people are helpful over there unless you are dealing with taxi drivers.
Anyway. Try to compare the prices between different sites before you make the purchase, as this hotel was built around 2005 and its not the best shape and most of the facilities are currently in route maintenance. Don't expect too much. But for sure the swimming pool is open for you from 9am to 11 pm. The hotel also has an ATM and take credit cards so don't worry about running out of money or anything. As other reviewers mention it takes around 15 mins walk from the hotel.. but Restaurant opens till late, but on Saturday it opens only till 9pm. But it's not expensive to dine in at the hotel. It will not break your bank even you get this dinner buffet it's only 96RmB per person and you can eat from 5pm till 9pm. Anyway its a smashing place to spend your time there, It will not break your bank, but with quality. This hotel still needs improvement towards their overall service and customer focus part. Other than that. They are good. The end of they it's part of world wide chain hotel group..but in chinese branding.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. No English (at all spoken).
Breakfast is terrible.TERRIBLE. No sausages or bacon, no cheese, no milk, yogurt, scrambled eggs...which is basic everywhere.
Said to be nearby a lot of restaurants, false, you have to go downtown and even there there are no many options.
Try something else...don’t save in hotel, since you’ll spend it buying something to have a normal breakfast and then in taxis to/from downtown

Postiviley the worst hotel experience in 8 years in China. Complete disregard for customer service. Bell boys ignored us with luggage. Front desk no English spoken. Reservation for king bed ocean view balcony deluxe became twin rooms. Not gay friendly (even sneers from staff). No reward points accepted. Fake room service menus (offering food they do not sell) Disco not open. Bars closed earlier than apointed times. Pool bar NEVER opened during our stay. Found one staff member that spoke english, he explained good staff long gone to Yalong bay and other hotels. A depressing and expensive stay -- mainland China so much better, nicer and service orientated.

Roaches in the room, pool too near a public road, generally all dirty and falling apart... a paradise for the Adams family.
You need cross a road to get to the beach. Not safe for little kids and a hassling from road sellers and taxi drivers. How fun!
Forget about it!

Although check-in time is 3pm to their standard, we still have to wait for another 45 minutes. Room size is good but bathroom has black mould stains around many corners. We were woken up at midnight at 1am due to very weak air-con (26 C) and was offered a room move but to our surprise the room was even warmer (28 C). Can you imagine running around the hotel at midnight looking for a comfortable room to sleep??? According to the staff the temperature display in those rooms were incorrect. I believe the air-con chiller was not in full operation at late night in order to save energy. We decided to stay put in our room and check-out the next day. This really ruined our long waited vacation. Never trust what is promised through the phone if you happens to call the hotel front desk.

When this hotel was built, they surely had the ambition of 4 stars or more, the basic design has the 4* potential. And from the reviews I can see guests agreed in the early days.

But now the lack of maintenance and tidiness and the obvious low budget has reduced my star rating considerably. The appearance is like anywhere else in China. The paint is peeling off, the carpets are dirty beyond cleaning, repairs made "farmer style".

The best part of this hotel; the pool is good and it's water quality is excellent.

Management is focussed on Chinese and a few Russian patrons. Holel is filled up due to low price.

The hotel rooms and food is good, but they really have no clu about delivering service, eg even before you start eating you have to pay, you cannot put orders on your room account (not really handy, if you need cash at the poolbar...), they don't accpet credit cards, you cannot order room service as the employees don't understand you , as they don't speak English, even the assistent manager does not speak proper english. So, you have to go down to the reception and point it on the menu. Than it takes about an hour, before they deliver an easy soup and sandwich.....
If you like a quite environment, the location is OK, but if you would like to move to somewhere on the island, you have to pay easily EUR 45,--, which is 5 times more expensive than the rest of China.
So, better enjoy the culture on main land and go home again.

We have been to a number of resorts over the years, but this one was a true disappointment! It all started with our first morning and the disappointing breakfast. We are accustomed to chinese food and western food alike while both were offered. This buffet had a LIMITED selection of anything appealing to the eye or to the tastebuds. When we asked to have a fresh egg cooked, the "chef" eyeballed cold eggs that were sitting in a warming pan that wasn't kept warm. Service was poor, organization was poor. Since it was raining, we sat indoors by the (floor to ceiling) windows on furniture that was old and worn. There was no entertainment (music?). When ordering food from the lunch or dinner menu (better tasting), there were several items unavailable. Smoking is allowed anywhere and everywhere (restaurants, poolside, buffet area). Activities were limited to renting bicycles, or using the pool. Although WiFi was available, it was limited to the lobby and inconsistent at that. Our room was clean and comfortable which was a saving grace. This organization has no clue about what a resort is all about! Thankfully the company was enjoyable! I wouldn't recommend to anyone looking for service, good eats or a good time!
