I stayed here for five nights and my overall experience was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor swimming pools.
The hotel provides free shuttle buses to the airport, duty-free shopping plaza and city centre.
Special thanks go to Daniel Zhang, Sophia Lin, Ceka Chen, Sen Fu, Daisy Li and housekeeping team to make my stay enjoyable.

Beautiful impressive property, spacious, clean, nice big rooms, well equipped, comfortable bed, great breakfasts, large lobby with well stocked lobby bar, two additional restaurants, nice beach and comfortable pools.
Some pools are unavailable outside the weekend, some dishes that were on the menu are not available in the restaurant. A big minus from the perspective of non-Chinese guests is also the lack of communication with the staff (almost no one speaks English).

Great facility and spacious rooms. Beach is the one of the best in China. Hotel staff were very accommodating and helpful. I notified the hotel about adding extra bed and quilts, and when I arrived at the room, things were exactly arranged as what I asked for. Everything was above the Hilton standard!

I stayed at this hotel from July 20-24 in 2020. I will list all the situations I have experienced during my stay. If you gonna stay there during the pandemic, this might able to help you.
Although called "Meilan", the airport name in Haikou, you'd better not expect to get on shuttle between the hotel and the airport. The hotel offers 3 rides a day in a really limited time from 9 am to 2 pm.
The lounge is closed during the pandemic. As compensation, the hotel offers dinner during the stay, which is 150 rmb per person everyday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The time restriction is really really annoying when you travel in somewhere you are not familiar.
Although there is no much travelers during the pandemic, I can only get an upgrade on view as a diamond member.
The following issues I had enforced may happen anytime you stay here other than in the pandemic.
The lobby is really hot and there is no AC. The bar and the business center is in the lobby so it would not be a good experience to stay there during the daytime.
The hotel is not located in most of the car rental companies offering on-line services(I didn't find any). And there is no car rental in the airport. So there is basically no way to rent a car in advance. The hotel agent will find a car to deliver to the hotel, but there is no invoice and I have not get my deposit back till now.
There are ants around the desk in my room. I didn't have any food and only drank water in the room. The hotel cleaned it with acrid sterilized water which really impact my quality of sleep at that night.
The AC in the room seems broken. No matter how I adjusted the controller, the temperature fixed at 25 Celsius degree.
Not recommended. Especially during the pandemic.

This was the worst hotel experience I have had in years.
On arrival I was quoted two different prices and then told to check myself.
Then was told I had only booked one breakfast which was incorrect.
I received a phone to say the hotel had realise I had booked executive breakfast.
The rooms where clean but very tatty, marks on the walls, cupboards and surface areas.
I went the executive lounge, empty of people and executive goodies except for a jar of cookies, raisins and nuts. No juice or water. We could not see how to get tea or coffee. No wonder it was empty.
We order pizza's for in room dining, they were disgusting the base where rock hard and the toppings made the children not want to finish the pizza.
Breakfast was shocking the food was either cold, dry out, soggy. The noise level was extremely high, with young children running the food area. The breakfast area was massively unstaffed and we waited five minutes for our table to be clean so we could use it. Also executive breakfast was in the same place - so not such thing second time I was lied to. I had to wait 10 minute for bread for toast, then I had to wait for butter. The bacon was bone dry I had to snap it rather cut it with a knife.
We checked out after the appalling breakfast a very upset total hotel experience to the end of our holiday.
I choose this place because of the beach, pool and distance to the airport. Wish I hadn't!
I do not normally write negative review only positives, this was so bad I think it is important others need to know what it might like for them.
I will never return to this hotel and will probably not use the Hilton groups hotel again.

This is a Hilton hotel but only on the name. Nice place, for sure. Pool is big, the room are amazing but we didn’t like some things.
This was a wedding trip and even if we send a message to let them know about it, any particular treatment or welcoming was done (like in all the other hotels we stayed). Pity. Breakfast is normal, nothing special even on dinner.
I m sorry but I didn’t feel welcomed

The worst hilton I have ever stayed. The hardware is in a very bad condition, breakfast is like a local 3 star hotel. Breakfast service is equally bad.
Checked after 11pm, the hotel has two receptionists, serving around 6-7 rooms check in, very very slow. No lift security as there in no card access to guest floors.
I have to say that the bed is quite comfortable, room facilities are very old, balcony wall has broken and lack of maintenance.
Executive lounge only open after 9am, which is not convenient for business travelers.

Stayed here for a week with family. Rooms were fantastic; comfortable, clean and well serviced. The staff were great, spoke good English and tried very hard to please. The hotel is huge and the pools and outside spaces look fantastic on the surface, but after this, it all goes wrong.
Pools are not well kept. Although the landscaping is well taken care of, the pool had a lot of fallen leaves in it which were not cleaned up during the day. The advertised pool bar isn’t really

Not very good hotel that far away from Meilan international airport. And too much kids here that make lots of noise at breakfast time. And the beach looks not very well. And they would not open air conditioners on corridors and lift room. But almost room is comfortable.

We stayed at the Hilton for a week. The hotel is new, beautiful, the rooms an average size, really nice, plenty of storage (drawers, closet, etc.) and a great bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, the room immaculate. Water was provided everyday as well as coffee and tea, of course. The only thing I would change is that the mini-refrigerator is in a cabinet and that produced a lot of heat – it needs better ventilation. Even the hallways are nice! The grounds are big, full of pools, jacuzzis and gardens which when mature will be beautiful. The beachfront is nice, clean (in front of the hotel only). The beach is not cared for on either side of the Hilton. What used to be a beautiful resort next door has been abandoned and so as the buildings and grounds crumble, it's a bit of an eyesore. There are also “pods” which are rattan covered sort of beds on the property – some near the pools and some overlooking the ocean. This was a great place to curl up and read a book comfortably as you are shaded. Towels are provided at the pool. The hotel is quiet, in a quiet area and generally pretty empty unless a convention is in progress (there was a small one while we were there, but it was not a problem). Check-in and check-out was very easy – no wait, no problems.
There are 3 restaurants – we ate at 2 of them. We were very fond of NODU where you could get wonderful hand pulled, hand cut noodle dishes. We ate lunch there a lot and got to know some of the staff – really liked Jane , Jennifer and Edward. Lunch with a noodle main dish and beer was 190 RMB for 2 which is expensive ($30) compared to town which would be half that cost, but still about the price of a comparable US lunch. (Note: The management at the Hilton gives every employee an English name to be easier for westerners – thoughtful, but odd!) Chili Spice – went here for dinner a couple of times – some really good food, some average. The best and most beautiful was the stir fried pumpkin, lily, broccoli in pumpkin sauce. The kung pao chicken, sweet and sour pork, yangzhou fried rice were good, but the Mackeral, although, beautifully presented, was dry and not very tasty. Dinner for 2 was about 400 RMB. We experienced excellent service at both restaurants.
We had all around good experiences with the staff – I positively haunted the concierge desk and Thomas (usually) was extremely helpful in providing bus routes, making reservations, etc. as was Tary who helped us immensely. Thomas helped us (and it took a long time) to get tickets for and transportation to the Mission Hills Mineral Springs – which is a MUST DO in the area!
GETTING TO TOWN.
The road to the Hilton from the main southern road to town (Guoxing Avenue) is a major construction zone. The roads are currently completely torn up and much of it is dirt and very bumpy not to mention slow traffic due to construction delays. What used to be a nice road with fields on either side is about to be what looks like a main road with lots of building going on beside the road. There is a northern route to town that is much better BUT, if you don't have a car, it is difficult to get a taxi to come and it will cost about double. However, the Hilton does have a shuttle that runs 4 times a day to 2-3 stops in town which is convenient. It is easy to get a taxi from any of the shuttle stops. Getting back to the Hilton can be a bit difficult. Taxi drivers don't want to go there as there is no hope of a return fare and it is difficult road. It should cost about 25 RMB, but, we found that if you offer them 50 RMB ($6), you can get a taxi. The other option and the one we used most often was the local bus. There are two buses that go all the way to the Hilton (actually about 2 blocks away, but it's an easy walk). The #27 and the #52 (both can be picked up from the bus stop near the Provincial Museum (which, by the way, is great!) on Guoxing Avenue. (If you study the bus route signs at a bus stop, it will soon make sense!) We generally caught the #52 at the Nanya Square bus stop which is conveniently located a few steps from the Carrefour which is a major grocery/shopping store. The Hilton store has very little in terms of products and is expensive. The Carrefour is a great alternative as it the RT Mart (conveniently located near the museum!).
In short, this is a fabulous value for a hotel of this caliber. We would DEFINITELY stay here again although I might wait until the roads are completed!

I'm so sorry, I didn't see your question earlier. I hope I'm not too late. Yes, this hotel does have a hair dryer in the room. It's just like any western 5-star hotel.
Hi,
Yes free hotel shuttle. For the airport to hotel they have two pick-up schedules 1020 and 1520. For hotel to downtown, they have 4 schedules 900,1200, 1400, 1850. One way taxi to/from airport and to/from hotel-downtown approximately 60-80 Yuan. Cheers!
Hi, I have checked with our Front Office, taxi fee from hotel to downtown commercial areas is around 70RMB, which is comprised of meter fee and RMB30 service charge due to the distance.
If the guest needs to rent a vehicle, our Concierge will be glad to help. Alternatively they can also refer to professional car rental companies in Haikou, like Car Inc (神州租车) or Ehi Car Service(一嗨租车).
Hope this information is helpful
regards

Thank you for following us, the airport is about 20 km from hotel and it takes about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, it is convenient to go to downtown area. The hotel also provides airport pick up/drop off service which is RMB250/trip.
