2 nights in presidential suit on their 45th floor. The only reason we booked this hotel because our family of 5 want to stay together.
Check in process should be easy if you speak Mandarin. Front desk issued 2 room keys for 5 people. Additional ID verification and picture taken are required if you want additional room key.
Bell service not available since that position wasn’t filled according to their other staff.
Two stories in the suit we were assigned. I can only manage to haul my tote bag by the stairs. The decorations reminds me 80-90s styles.
We were offered with free afternoon on each day that we stayed. Water bottle amd unlimited soft drink were found in each bathroom and fridge.
We had a good family to stay together.

Location
It was quite centrally located though I'm not sure if it's really city center. There are some shops-local delicacy, convenience store, food shops towards the right of the hotel and restaurants across the road.
Room
I got the room with a counter top, small living area and bed area-something like a service apartment. Could be a little noisy with the traffic below as bed is next to the window. Bathroom is ok but could do with abit more lighting. Minibar was free but no breakfast deal in my room package.
Staff
Overall polite and helpful. Lobby area was all smoky as smoking is allowed indoor. Not a nice scene to come back too after a tiring day outside.

Location
Somewhere in Haikou city, quite a built up area. Some shops, marts and KFC within walking distance. From airport about 30 minutes by car.
Room
Room is very Chinese conservative decor. Medium size that offers a queen size bed, quite comfortable but quite soft. Bedside tables includes with phone and basic alarm clock. Excellent lighting switches though so one does not have to get out of bed. The room offers a very upright arm chair and stool- not that comfortable and small table. Also a glass desk table is offered with a phone & small cabinet. Table has mini chandelier lamp but badly damaged leg. A Strange standing cabinet exists with a kettle on top (but tea making facilities in other side of room). Large TV faces the bed well and includes 5 channels (out of 61) that are in English-bloomberg, MTV & HBO. Obviously no BBC or CNN. A mini bar fridge exists underneath the marble top TV cabinet- very minimal item only a soda, water and beer and potato chips as a snack. The wardrobe faces the bathroom and offers some slippers, robes and laptop size safe but no iron or ironing board. Luggage rack stool exists as well. The bathroom is actually the nicest part of the room. French Shutters open up to the room and includes a bath and cubicle shower with overhead rain and normal head. Marble top finish with hotel branded generous size amenity kits.
Lighting in the room is good and of Chinese standards (many lights) and window also offers good natural lighting. AC is digital and worked well.
Overall the room is comfortable and just about 5 star but the carpet is well stained and even the table foot post was well damaged. Bathroom was nice though.
Facilities
WIFI is free and non-secure, worked well with multiple devices, not super fast but adequate.
The hotel offers a restaurant buffet, Chinese restaurant and lobby cafe. Did not use any, checked out & declined the breakfast buffet decided there was no much options for western food (since I had been eating Chinese food all week). There is a small pool and decent size modern gym.
Staff
Staff are ok, obviously some do not speak English but they try well and make effort. There is a a concierge service at this hotel and maps are given out to go to local vicinities. Check-in welcome was a bit poor but to be fair this is not an international hotel but really for Chinese only, and for that standard it is good.
Overall I would probably try somewhere else if I came to Haikou again, its not a bad hotel at all but thing I would prefer more western hotel, just because of the food. Also the cleanliness of the room condition is not up to 5 star standards.

Stayed one night per my China agent required of my company. There were flies in the room, a cockroach climbing the wall and a very dirty bed headboard. The toilet also would not flush and was backed up or out of border. My agent is checking why this was a preferred hotel and hope some change comes on behalf of my fellow colleagues. Will not stay again or recommend.

Very local hotel and staff speak very little English. Hotel is a little old difficult to get taxi at the hotel. Concierge and bell boys didn't even have any initiative to call taxis until requested. Breakfast quality is lousy.

Stayed here for 3 nights while in Hainan for business. Room on the 9th floor. Beds very comfortable, plenty of light and good working air conditioning in the room. Carpets quite dirty but then again I am not sure of the wisdom of Beige carpets in a hotel. Did not try the breakfast but had food in the hotel restaurant on the second floor. The food was very nice but the service slow. The bathroom amenities are plentiful, the laundry service worked well. The wifi in the room worked well and good speed. Overall a solid Chinese 5 star hotel but compared to the western standards may be around a 3.5 to 4 star. The reason for the 3.5 is that although the lobby area claims to be non-smoking, locals do not pay any attention to it. This is not an isolated issue at this hotel but a general issue in China. I don't have any issue coming back to this hotel if I ever come back to Hainan.

The breakfast buffet was very impressive. It serves both western and asian cuisine. There was a wide variety of noodles too for our selection. End the breakfast with fruits and a bowl of soya bean curd!
The rooms were ok, of decent size. We tried to get a non-smoking room but were told that they are only available for executive floors. What a pity!
The hotel is situated near the RT Mart. Good supermarket shopping and delicious restaurants. Across the road from the hotel is a restaurant that serves delicious seafood. Try it. Not too far away is Carrefour supermarket.

After staying in Sanya for a few days, we traveled to Haikou for a day. Stayed here and was not at all impressed! Walking into the room, I questioned if it had even been cleaned. There were coffee stains on the counter and smelled of mold. The bathroom shower had mold in the tiles and the shower door did not close completely. This allowed for a nice little water pool in the bathroom. The bed was ok...i honestly felt like I was staying in a hostel rather than a nice city hotel. Look around for other options...unless you just don't mind.
