I stayed here during Chinese New Year, and they had no record of my booking. ( Fault with my booking agent, not them.) However, their staff fixed it up, believed me that payment was made and gave me a room. No dramas. Hotel was clean and not too far from the new East Haikou Railway station. Bed linen clean, bed comfortable - not hard - and the room reasonable spacious. No-one spoke english, but they prepared to help me - I'm a older whitey and know a little Hanyu. Decoration a little tired, but the rates are very good for such a central location. Lots of buses stop out the front. This was an excellent example of paying a low price and being very happily surprised with the value for money.

stayed here for over a week ... rooms are big, clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Down side was no one spoke English... but I don't think it would hard to get the message across if you don't have a translator. The night food market next door can be a bit noisy if your room is too close ...... and they are still revving at 3 am most mornings/nights ..... but a great place to stay and very economic.

Six months is a long time in travel ..... had an internet booking and trusted it would be ok, having stayed there for over a week last August. On arrival they changed our booking to a more expensive room saying the booked room was very noisy. Was offered our old room back for an even higher price (Chinese New year was the excuse, last day) didn't take it. So, tired from travel we hoofed it up to the room having to change lifts as the 13th floor is only serviced by 1 or the two lifts ..... first impression was not good ........room odorous, view of rooftops ..... then the wifi wouldn't work ..... nor the landline plug in ......... the moved us to another room ... but it was no different. They made excuses and kept pushing the higher priced room. Already over $30 a night, suddenly their sullen attitudes and the paper cups in the room became offensive. We checked out .......... unfriendly and unhelpful are the words that best sum it up ...... although indifference could also be added.
